Megan x Lara x Manon

Part II tomorrow!

Megan and Manon sat on the couch, the soft glow of the apartment lights casting a warm ambiance around them. The evening had unfolded slowly, a comfortable mixture of idle chatter and easy laughter. They had spent the last few hours talking about everything—school, plans for the weekend, and the latest drama in their favorite TV show. It was one of those nights where the world outside the apartment felt far away, and all that mattered was the company of friends.

Megan leaned back against the couch, stretching her arms overhead. "I swear, I'm going to eat my weight in junk food tonight," she said with a grin.

Manon laughed, her voice light. "Same here. We deserve it after this week. I'm thinking pizza."

"Pizza sounds perfect," Megan agreed. "Let's do it. But we should get extra cheese, and maybe some of those garlic breadsticks."

Manon grinned. "Definitely. I'm not even gonna pretend to be healthy tonight."

The two of them quickly grabbed their phones, scrolling through pizza delivery apps, debating toppings and sizes. As they were finalizing their order, the door to the living room swung open, and Lara walked in, her dark curls tumbling over her shoulders, a slight smile playing on her lips.

"Hey, what's all this?" Lara asked, glancing at the pizza menu on the screen.

"We're ordering pizza," Manon replied, glancing over at her. "You want in?"

Lara raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "Who could say no to pizza?" She kicked off her shoes and sank into the armchair next to the couch, crossing her legs comfortably. "What's the plan for the night?"

Megan glanced at Lara, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Pizza, probably some Netflix, and just... hanging out. You know, the usual."

Lara leaned back in the chair, propping her feet up. "Sounds perfect."

The three of them settled into the evening with easy conversation. It was one of those nights where everyone felt in sync, their words flowing effortlessly, and the world outside felt miles away. As the pizza arrived and the three of them gathered around on the couch, the room was filled with the smell of melted cheese and pepperoni, along with the hum of music playing softly in the background.

They ate, talking about everything from random high school memories to the latest gossip, enjoying each other's company in the warmth of the living room. At one point, as the conversation lulled, Lara looked at Megan, a thoughtful expression crossing her face.

"So," Lara said casually, "do you want to talk about anything? Like, just the two of us?"

Megan blinked, surprised by the question. She looked over at Lara, their eyes meeting for a moment longer than usual. There was something unspoken in the air between them, a tension neither of them had acknowledged until now. The thought of being alone with Lara suddenly felt... different. More intimate.

She nodded slowly, feeling a flutter in her chest. "Yeah, sure. We can go to my room?"

Lara smiled, a flicker of something playful in her gaze, and without saying another word, they both stood up, leaving Manon on the couch with her pizza. They walked down the hall to Megan's room, the door closing softly behind them.

The air in the room felt thicker now, the space between them charged with an energy that hadn't been there before. Megan sat on her bed, her heart racing slightly as she glanced at Lara, who had closed the door behind her, standing just a little closer than normal.

Lara's voice was low, almost hesitant, as she spoke. "Megan... I didn't want to make it weird earlier, but I've been thinking about something."

Megan met her gaze, her pulse quickening. "What do you mean?"

Lara took a step closer, her hand lightly brushing Megan's, a small, tentative touch. "I don't know... maybe it's just me, but sometimes it feels like there's something between us. And I don't want to leave it unsaid anymore."

Megan's breath caught in her throat. She didn't know what to say. Part of her wanted to back away, to keep things as they were, just friends. But another part of her, a part she hadn't fully acknowledged until this moment, was pulling her closer to Lara.

Without another word, Megan leaned in, her lips brushing against Lara's, a soft, tentative kiss. The world seemed to slow as they kissed again, deeper this time, the spark between them igniting into something undeniable.

The room was quiet except for the sound of their breathing, the air thick with the unspoken tension that had been building all evening. When they finally pulled away, both of them were breathing a little heavier, the room feeling much smaller than before.

Lara looked at Megan, her eyes full of questions and something else—hope, maybe. "Is this... okay?" she asked softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Megan's heart fluttered again, but this time she smiled, her hand brushing against Lara's cheek. "Yeah," she whispered. "It's more than okay."

As the night continued, the world outside seemed to disappear. In that small apartment, with pizza boxes scattered around and laughter echoing softly from the other room, Megan and Lara shared a new understanding, a bond that was still unfolding, one kiss at a time.
