SHIP — Megan x Yoonchae
Written by, Fufu830
Megan had always been the kind of big sister who took her role seriously, but in the most playful way. Every morning, when the sunlight peeked through the blinds of their room, she would jump out of bed and start planning the day. Today, she had a new idea.
"Yoonchae," Megan called, pulling her younger sister's blanket off her with a mischievous grin. "Wake up, sleepyhead! It's adventure time!"
Yoonchae, who was still half-asleep, groggily lifted her head, squinting at Megan. But when she saw the sparkle in her big sister's eyes, she knew there was no escaping whatever plan Megan had cooked up.
"Do we have to? I'm still tired," Yoonchae mumbled, curling back into her pillow.
"Come on! We're going to have the best day ever," Megan said, hopping on the bed and bouncing next to her. "We're going to play 'Princess and Pirate.' You're the princess, and I'll be the pirate who's going to protect you from the dangerous sea monsters."
Yoonchae hesitated for a moment but then giggled. "Okay, fine. But only if I get to have a magical sword!"
"Deal," Megan replied, raising her pinky in a solemn promise. "But you need to be the bravest princess ever, because this pirate is tough. We're going on a quest!"
The two of them scrambled to get dressed, each pulling on their most adventurous outfits. Megan wore her favorite striped shirt and old jeans, while Yoonchae donned a sparkly pink dress that swished with every twirl. Megan found an old cardboard box and transformed it into a ship, drawing waves and a pirate flag on it with markers.
They spent the next hour in the living room, using cushions to create a sea of mountains and valleys where they could hide from the "monsters" (which were mostly just pillows and stuffed animals). Megan would pretend to fight off invisible creatures, waving a wooden spoon like a sword, while Yoonchae held her "magical sword" (a plastic spoon she found) and cast pretend spells.
After a while, they set up a "treasure hunt" where Megan hid a small chocolate bar under the couch, and Yoonchae had to follow the clues Megan made up. Every clue led to a new challenge, like jumping over a pile of laundry or crawling under the coffee table to escape from a "shark." Yoonchae loved it. She laughed and raced around, feeling like she was truly the princess on a daring quest.
Finally, they both collapsed on the couch, out of breath but grinning from ear to ear.
"That was the best pirate princess adventure ever," Yoonchae said, her eyes sparkling with joy. "You're the best big sister, Megan."
Megan smiled and hugged her tightly. "I'm glad you had fun. You were a great princess. Next time, maybe I'll be the princess, and you can be the pirate!"
Yoonchae thought about it for a second, then shook her head. "Nah, I like being the princess with the magic sword. But we can always have more adventures, right?"
"Of course!" Megan said, ruffling her sister's hair. "There's no end to the fun we can have."
And so, the day went on, full of laughter, games, and the unspoken bond between a big sister and her little sister—a bond made even stronger with every game they played and every moment they shared together.
