Andrea is still at the hospital.
All alone in her hospital room.
Katie has gone home for some dinner. The doctors have gone to sort out other patients.
Andrea is left there with the worry that Katie will be left all alone when the cancer has gotten all around Andrea and taken her away.
Sat there, only with that worry, she suddenly says out loud to herself " at least Katie will never know my dark and terrible past!"
Well Andrea may be wrong there, because at that very moment Katie was on her way down to the cellar of her and her mother's house.
While Katie was making a sandwich she noticed that the fridge and all the other kitchen appliances just stopped working so she was going to go down to the dark, dusty, dangerous cellar and attempt to fix the problem for when her mother ever got to come home.
Which she hoped was soon.
As Katie was stepping down the last, unstable step to the cellar she felt a rush of cold air and started shivering.
Although, Katie didn't seem to notice, as she kept on walking to the power supply box on the far wall in the cellar. She opened up the box and shined her torch (that she always kept on her just in case) on it and the power supply showed her that the kitchens power should be on. So she figured that there was something wrong with the kitchen appliances and not the main electricity.
But that wasn't all Katie found out in the cellar... 
Next to the power supply box on the floor was a box with the words " never to be opened again" written on the top in huge, bold letters in her mothers handwriting.
Even though Katie knew her mother wouldn't be happy if she ever found out that Katie had been in the cellar, she couldn't help being suspicious about what is in the box.
So she took the box back upstairs with her, but left the cellar door open.
Katie went into the living room and as she opened the box she saw something sparkle inside it, so she picked that up first and gasped when she saw what it was.
In that moment she was so confused that she even forgot her own name for a second. It looked like Katie had found a necklace that belonged to her mother, but the confusing thing was that In-graved on the back of the emerald Jewel was the words " Katie's Jewel". Katie carefully placed the necklace down on the coffee table and ran upstairs to her bedroom where she rummaged through her box of memories she had under her bed and a minute later she found what she was looking for. She ran back down stairs and placed the item from her room on the coffee table next to the necklace and compared the two items. The item she got from her room was a photograph of her mother and a man (she has seen in a lot or pictures with her mother but never in real life), the man was giving her mother a necklace...
In Fact it was the exact same one as the one she found in the cellar.
Since it was too late to go out back to the hospital to see and question her mother about it, decided to wait until morning since it was Saturday tomorrow.
She left both the necklace be the photograph on the coffee table and went upstairs to sleep.
