You’ve never minded it though, the relaxing feeling of becoming one with the earth was relaxing to you

Clouds took over your mind

You couldn’t think of anything

The rain seemed to stop

Opening your eyes you noticed a familiar figure looming over you

She whispered as she sat down on the wet grass beside you

And you hated it with every fiber of your being

You said, or at least you wanted to

But you’re weak

You couldn’t even talk about your feelings

Your body shivered as a warm body embraced yours in a gentle hug

It felt like years since you’ve had one

‘It's not real! This isn’t real!’

Your mind screamed louder and louder, you knew it was trying to help you

This whole situation wasn’t real

You weren’t outside

It wasn’t raining

And she wasn’t there

You finally gave in and opened your eyes

Your eyes searched the room

Look for something

Anything that would prove it was real

That she cared for you

A chuckle left your lips

Why would she care about you?

You’re just some random kid that pretends

All you do is pretend

It's unhealthy

But you need a way to cope

You grabbed your headphones off your desk and put them on

Each song made your mind feel a little lighter
