A phrase that was said so much that it was engraved in your head, you ‘Look’ like one but aren’t one. That’s sad, everyone wants you to be with her. . .well everyone but her. At least that is what it seemed like

No matter what you did, she never noticed you. Sent her a bouquet of her favorite flowers? Turns out you forgot to place the card with your name on it there. Invite her to dinner? Oh, what a nice gesture!

You knew it was mostly your fault but still! How did she miss the love note on her desk!? You loved her to bits but she could be the dumbest person sometimes.

“It took about three years until I told her I liked her straight to her face and it still took her some time to realize what I’d meant!”

You and your daughter, Samia burst out laughing at your wife’s obliviousness.

“It took her three years!?” Samia wheezed when you nodded

Kathy groaned as she buried her head in her hands

“It’s not funny” She tried her hardest not to laugh but failed immediately.

There it is, you’ve done it. It took three years but it was worth it.
