Kathy looked around the room, the room you used to share

She couldn’t find the motivation to do anything, not even eat

It has been two years since your death and she didn’t know what to do with herself, you were her best friend, her other half

She hated feeling useless, she should be doing productive things and taking care of herself, that’s what you would’ve wanted

What would you say if you saw her now?

It didn’t matter what she did, she tried to be productive, she tried to eat but she couldn’t do it, it seemed like nothing was worth it

What was the point? It wasn’t like you were going to come back after she ate, it wasn’t like you were going to celebrate her achievements with her

She turned and looked at the empty spot on the bed, the spot where you would be

But there was nobody there
