You watched your wife work on her laptop

You wanted her to hold you, you had no reason, you just wanted to be held

She looked up from her computer and took off her glasses

“You know you don’t have wait there, right?” She asked as she looked up at you

“I know, I just don’t want to disturb you” You walked over to the couch and sat down

“My work isn’t as important as you, you know that right?” She smiled at you

“Yeah” Your voice wasn’t as loud as you wanted it to be

Kathy’s brows furrowed and a look of concern washed over her face

“Is something wrong?” She asked as she got up from her desk

“Yeah”

Kathy noticed how hesitant you sounded

“Hey, is everything alright?” She softly asked as she held you

“Mhm” Was all you could say

Kathy didn’t want to pressure you into telling her so she just held you while slowly rocking you both back and forth

You both found yourselves asleep after a while

Both of you close together, with you in Kathy’s arms
