Imagine Katherine saving your life

Being in Mystic Falls for at least a month and you already found out about the supernatural and it kind of scared you, but mostly excited. As a little kid you had always dreamed of being a vampire and was overjoyed that they actually existed. But you didn't know that they could be as mean and ruthless as Katherine Pierce.

You'd met her while going to visit Elena one day. She played it off really well, that is, until she decided to attack you. After keeping her off without a scratch she then introduced herself as the legandary Katherine Pierce. You were terrified to be in her presence, but was astonished at her beauty. Yes she looked like Elena, but she just caught your eye.

Fortunately, you had caught the vampires eye as well. The more you met and talked the more she felt protective of you. You didn't really know what to call each other. Frenemies? No but it didn't matter, you both enjoyed each other company, after she convinced you that she wasn't going to hurt or kill you.

It took you a while to get used to her surprising visits in your room constantly, leaving little gifts and such whenever you felt sad, or just having a normal conversation with her. Her sarcasm and rudeness still showed with others, but with you its like it never existed.

Although she had gained your attention, you didn't think she felt the same, thus dropping any feelings you had and just became friends. Everyone, especially Damon, Stefan and Elena hated the idea of you two being friends, but it didn't bother you.

Katherine always felt a tad nervous around you considering how you made her feel. It was certain that you felt the same as she did. It was unclear to you that she could ever like such a human like you, until one night.

After many, many, many attempts at keeping you away from the danger of going out with everyone else you refused to stay and be useless. You convince everyone that you could fight off any supernatural creature. It took Stefan and Elena some convincing but as soon as you pulled out how it was unfair for Elena to go and not you, the agreed non the less.

You didn't know what they were trying to kill, but it couldn't be good. Locked between both Stefan and Damon's body's you all moved along the forest of Mystic Falls. Katherine had heard about this and was furious that they were letting you go out into the dangerous.

You had managed to make a soft spot in her heart and soul, only for you and she couldn't bare to lose you. So she followed you all but keeping an eye on any danger coming your way. Satisfied that there was nothing she began walking back.

But then she heard a scream. Your scream. She sped to the scene where you were seconds away from getting your blood sucked from you body while everyone was fighting the others.

Katherine made her way towards you and attacked the vampire, ripping his heart from his chest and throwing it to the ground, stomping on it. You breath heavily as you sat up with wide eyes.

Katherine bent down to your height and you grasped her in a hug, thanking you over and over again. She melted into your touch and smiled. She helped you up and checked for any injuries besides the almost bite. The other had kilt their opponents and began to walk back.

The two of you followed behind them, in a comfortable silence. It took a while before you finally reached the Salvatore Boarding house and you were exhausted. Noticing your hand still grape to Katherine's you pulled her into a small hug before giving her a smile.

"Thank you again for saving my life." You thanked.

"No problem Y/N." She said smiling. You gave her a kiss on the cheek before saying goodnight and entering the boarding house.

Katherine's smile never left as she walked the streets of Mystic Falls, touching her cheek lightly ever so often reminding her of your soft lips on her cheek.

You too couldn't stop smiling. Tonight only proved that she felt the same, making your feeling emerge to the surface again.
