Imagine meeting Elena on your first day of school after moving

Moving away from your childhood friends and family wasn't really on your mind when your parents told you about the good news. You thought this was a terrible idea beyond compare.

Change was a really hard thing for you. You got attached to thing really quickly and seeing that you lived in this town your entire life, you took it pretty bad.

For the next couple of day you spent walking around the entire town, taking in your last days in the place you thought you'd always call home. You dragged your friends out of school just to be with you. Alit of crying was done once you had to tell then why you'd been acting so different lately, and it broke their hearts.

You couldn't bare yourself to pack all your belongings, it was too painful for you to stand. So you let your parents do the work of destroying your room, tearing down every memory made in that room. Your bed was the last thing to go, considering you hadn't moved since you woke up the day of the move.

Your parents grew frustrated with you to the point where they had to literally stuff you in the car and drive off quickly before you jumped out onto the road and inside the house.

After five long hours of arguing, eating, gas stops and sleeping you finally made it to your new house in Mystic Falls. I stared at your new house and as you did, a small spark or excitement was made inside you as you made your way towards the house.

For the rest of the weekend you helped your parents unpack everything and by Sunday your were dead tired. You wanted to sleep and never wake up. But your mother never failed to remind you rhat you had school the next day.

So you did what everyone your age did, groan a goodnight, wrap yourself in the blankets and fall into a deep sleep. To you it seemed like eight hours of sleep wasn't enough when your alarm went off telling you to get up the next day.

Quickly getting into the shower and scrubbing any dirt and greasy out of your hair and body you stepped out and dried your hair. Getting changed wasn't a problem since you'd picked or your clothing ahead of time.

You trudged doen the stairs to the kitchen once you'd finished getting ready to see eggs and bacon being made for you. You sat on a stood as your breakfast was made for you.

"Excited for school?" You mother asked as you crunched on your bacon. You gave her a look of 'are you serious' that made her chuckle.

You finished your food and put it in the sink before giving your mother a kiss on the cheek before leaving, hollering a goodbye to your father who was just coming down the stairs. You got into your car and drove off, hopefully to not get lost.

---

You sat in your car for at least ten minutes debating whether you should go inside or not. Nervous was the first thing you felt once you finally decided to get out of your car, but the amount of stares you got once you entered the school made your nervousness rise.

You kept your head down as you made your way to the office. The secretary took her sweet time to find your scedule and make sure you were really you before you could finally leave and find your locker.

You found your locker quite quickly, thankfully having five minutes before classes began. The only problem was your lock wasn't opening. You tried four times before you huffed out a large breath and hit the locker.

"Stupid locker." You muttered, not noticing the presence of a girl nearby.

"Having troubles?" She asked, scaring you a tad.

Looking at her mesmerized you instantly. Her doe eyes and warm smile gave you a weird feeling in your body as you continued to stare at the lovely stranger, posibly forgetting the question she asked you.

"Uhh, yeah. I think the lock is jammed or something." You mumbled loud enough for her to hear. She breathed a laugh before taking your schedule from your hands and tried the combination. She lifted the lock and the door opened.

Your mouth opened slightly. One try was all it took for her to open it. She smiled again making you instantly want to yourself. You stuffed your bag inside the locker and pulled out your binder for your first class before closing your locker.

"Thank you. I owe you." You said as the both of you began to walk down the hallways.

"It was nothing. Just a locker malfunction." You laughed lightly before looking at your schedule.

"I'm Elena by the way." She introduced.

"Y/N. Nice to meet you Elena." You gave her your hand and shook it. Elena suited her very nicely, it had a nice ring to it.

Elena looked over your shoulder to read your schedule and smiled widely as she told you you both had the same classes. This excited you a bit because not only were you going to not have to sit alone, you'd get to see her more often.

Elena linked her arm with yours ad you both made you way towards your class. Though out the day you met more of Elena's friends and clicked with them instantly, even met her little brother Jeremy. Once getting hit on by most of the guys in the group, you had to explain how you didn't swing that way. You thought it would be appropriate to say it now instead of later.

Promising Elena that you owed her, after school she took you to the Mystic Grill where you bought her a coffee and got to know each other better. Lots of laughed and stories were told until you both had to part ways. You exchanged phone numbers before heading in opposite directions.

Maybe this move wasn't as bad as you thought.
