Luna

"Why do you love the sea so much?" He asked. His eyes widened with innocence.

I smiled at him and stared at the sea in front of me, not minding the slow tickling of waves and sand beneath my feet.

"Because it's vast and mysterious. It may look plain from the above but it keeps a hidden beauty, you just have to be brave enough to dive deep." I answered.

"Then why do you love the sky as well?" He asked.

"The sky holds thousands of possibilities and maybe my life too?" It didn't came out as an answer instead a question that I can't seem to answer and I just laughed it off.

"Why do you keep on asking me random questions?" I asked.

"What about the waves? Why do you love them so much?" He asked, completely ignoring my question.

I intently watch the wave that hits my feet. I watch how the water kissed my skin before it rolls away from me and back to the sea where it belongs.

"Because it leaves and comes back again" I said, never tearing my gaze off the water. How it crashed back in to plant a kiss on my feet then back again to the sea.

"How about the wind? Do you love them?" He asked.

"I do but I am jealous of it" I answered with a low chuckle.

I lifted my gaze on him and was greeted by the confusion written on his face.

"Because the wind gets to hug him, the wind gets to touch him, the wind can get near him while I can't" I said.

We both fell silent. All I can hear is the crashing of the waves to the shore and the gentle sea breeze brushing my already disheveled hair. I stared at the magnificent sunset before me and I silently admired it's beauty. Different shades of orange and blue painted the horizon as the sun slowly descends.

"I know why you love sunset so much" he said.

I smiled faintly, still staring at the sun and the vast horizon.

"Because even if it ends, it ends beautifully. It's like a fairytale with a happy ending" he said.

I laughed at him for being so poetic, I'm not used to it.

"Of all people I know, you deserve to have one. A happy ending of your own" he said and it made me stop laughing.

"Your story's over" He added. I averted my gaze and focused it back to the sunset. I watch how the sun kisses the sea good night. It ended. All that's left is the wide sky, painted by the best painter.

The moon is now slowly peeking in as the sky darkens. Little by little stars begin to appear.

"Do you know why I love the moon above all the one's you've asked?" I broke the deafening silence between us. I didn't bother to wait for his reply.

"Because I know somewhere he's staring at it as well." I said.

Our chapter may have ended but definitely not my story. Every chapter has it's own sunset and just like the sky, I know that my story holds thousands of possibilities.
