I picked the lock easily. These stupid Pokémon centers should really beef up their security! I thought to myself with a small smirk. I crept into the room as soundlessly as possibly. The door gave a small click when I shut it causing me to flinch. There was a sleeping form in each of the beds.

Perfect!

There was a bag at the end of each bed, one with a girly badge case sticking out from it. Slowly creeping across the floor so as to not be noticed. I snatched the case as soon as it was in my reach. Opening it as quiet as possible, but of course, it gave off a small click. The eyes of the girl in the other bed fluttered open for a moment before her rhythmic breathing fell back into place.

I took in her features for the third time today. Her dark skin matched her black curls that fell down a little past her waist. Her long lashes were complimented by her dimples. Her shining brown eyes shone with passion, determination, and kindness..... when she was awake. She let out a small groan before she rolled over, turning her back to me. I glanced over at the other girl, Her caramel hair obscured her face but I didn't really care, I just needed to know she was asleep.

With my eyes on the two girls I absentmindedly shut the case making a much louder click than the first. I barely had enough time to dive under a bed before the girls woke up. 

"What was that?" one asked.

"Not sure..." the other one started before letting out a shrill screech at the sight of her pink badge case lying askew in the middle of the floor. In my haste I had dropped it. Her feet hit the floor with a loud thud making my breath hitch. A hand swooped down lifting up the case. When she opened it there was an even louder scream as the open case fell to the floor, exposing its empty interior. 

"My badge!!!! Its gone!!!!" her cry was responded with a soft knock on the door.

"Is everything alright in there?" the soft voice of nurse Joy called. The feet pounded on the floor to the door. I heard the door smack against the wall.

"SOMEONE STOLE MY BADGE!!!!!!" she screamed at nurse Joy. You could practically hear the spit flying from her mouth. 

"Now now miss. Im sure you just misplaced......"

"Misplaced it? MISPLACED IT! IT WAS IN MY BADGE CASE! ITS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR A BADGE TO FALL OUT OF ONE OF THOSE THINGS!" I could here the doors of the other rooms opening now, all coming out to see what was going on. Suddenly a timed and squeaky voice piped up.

"Angel I think you need to calm down."

So, I thought, Her names Angel. 

"Maybe you didn't put it in right?" the girl continued.

"Oh really?", Angel scoffed, "Then how did my case get to the middle of the floor? Unless I can't put anything in a bag right either!"

"Well your bag is kinda full........"

"Ughhhh!" There was the sound of stomping feet and the light turning on, followed by things being tossed and over turned.

"Angel stop!" the other girl screamed.

"I KNOW YOUR IN HERE!, she screamed into the air, "I WILL FIND YOU!" her feet appeared in my view again, and with surprising strength flipped over her bed. There was nothing under there except dust bunnies and a lost baseball card. In one swift movement her feet had turned around so that her toes pointed towards me. Her fingers appeared, gripping onto the mattress frame. As soon as I looked at her freshly painted blue Squirtle colored nails, time seemed to slow down.

Everything was in slow motion. The veins in her wrists popped out as she used all her strength to expose me to everyone. There was nurse Joy with two Chanseys hugging her legs. Officer Jenny was pushing her way through the crowd of trainers, handcuffs off her belt ready to strap around Angel's wrists, but she stopped in her tracks when she saw me. There was an earsplitting scream cutting through all the gasps of horror that came from the other girl. She looked ready to faint.

My green eyes flicked back to Angel, who's hand reached down and gripped the collar of my shirt until my feet couldn't touch the floor. "Badge?" she said in a demanding yet questioning tone. I fumbled around in my pocket until the shiny metal object. No sooner was my hand out of my pocket than the badge was in hers. "Do you have anything to say?" she asked in the same tone. 

I shook my head vigorously in response, to afraid to say anything.

"Whats your name?" I failed to answer her out of fear. What? Those icy blue eyes are scary! "I said! Whats your NAME! she yelled at me.

"N-N-Nial."

"Nial what?" she said in her annoyingly demanding tone.

"Henderson! Nial Henderson!" I said, my voice high and squeaky. I took a moment to glance at the other girl. Her skin was a deathly pale and she looked as if she was hyperventilating. There was a Caterpie and a Bulbasuar struggling to calm her down. Suddenly her eyes rolled back in her head and she fell to the floor. A second after I went down too as Angel dropped me in concern for her friend.

"KATE!!!" she screeched at a frequency so high it probably hurt officer Jenny's Growlith's ears. Angel had taken Kate, as I now new, by the shoulders and was shaking her. "Kate! Kate wake up!". Nurse Joy wasn't being very helpful as she was frozen in shock, tears streaming down her pale face. All the other trainers there, only about ten, were screaming in panic, not knowing what to do as the police were already here. Officer Jenny sprang into action. She shoved Angel away from Kate, laying her down flat before checking her pulse. Everyone had stopped paying attention to me in the chaos. I could get away no one would catch me. I could always come back with a disguise and get the Pewter city gym badge some other time.

But I couldn't.

Something was inclining me to stay. To help. I jumped up from my spot on the floor and raced over to the unconscious girl. Officer Jenny was pumping her stomach while Angel bawled her eyes out. All that changed when she saw me.

"You!!" she hissed as if even speaking of me brought a fowl taste to her mouth. She lunged at me, her nails clawing at my throat. One of the other police men came over to break up the fight but Angel just shoved him away and continued to tear at my flesh like some crazy Scyther. The same police man she had shoved away had pulled out his tazer and before she could land another hit she was on the floor in a crumpled heap.

Before the officer could do the same to me I ran back over to Kate, who was breathing again but thrashing wildly.

"You just had to taze the only person that could calm her down didn't you?" officer Jenny mumbled under her breath. It took another 10 minutes for the ambulance to arrive and when they did they injected a needle into her arm, causing her to pass out. They then loaded her onto a stretcher and hauled her off along with Angel. The police eventually put me in hand cuffs and hauled me off.

At least I don't have a family to fluster over me.

Hello!! I'm so sorry I haven't updated in forever!!! After Wattpad got that weird bug I lost all my work. Then the school issued us laptops that I used to update. Then Wattpad fixed the bug and for some reason I lost my progress again! So you get stuck with this its a filler chapter anyway. The part at the end where Kate faints was last minute. I hope you enjoyed anyway and I'll try to update sooner!!! Bye for now!
