Island time

Soon they made it to the island, the bad weather having been passed.

"YAHOOO!! ISLAND AHEAD!!" Luffy cheered.

Katara smiled at the boy who was up on the rope net connected to the mast, looking at the adventure ahead with a shining smile on his face.

He definitely started to remind her of Aang. Same happy-go-lucky energy. She wouldn't be too surprised if he shot himself off the boat much like how Aang would take his glider and jump off appa to go adventure first.

"Okay guys let's do a head count and assign groups!" Nami shouted to the crew. Everyone gathered around, "The ingredients group will be sanji, zoro, and Ussop."

Ussop smiled in victory that he didn't end up with the weakling trio. He didn't like fending for himself if possible. Plus sanji would make sure that they stay on task. The hardest part would be not loosing zoro.

"Next group is the cola group. That'll be Franky, myself, and brook, and luffy."

"The rest is The Sunny group who also has to take care of the fire princess or whatever."

A hand was raised, "I vote to switch groups."

"No sanji."

Everyone separated and for the first time since their fight, Katara went to go visit azula who was still sedated in the med bay. She was chained up as well with their sea prism stone handcuffs. Not that it changed anything for Azula, but it's what they had.

Chopper joined Katara while Robin waited outside, keeping watch on the boat. "She hasn't suffered any huge injuries, the most being bruising and some scrapes." He had a lingering question plaguing his mind. He didn't want to be offensive to any culture the girl might have come from but he just had to know, "Is this.. a normal haircut?"

Katara looked closer and indeed, she had lopsided bangs and matted hair. "No, not at all. She usually looks better than this."

"Ok. Well based on how she was panicking earlier, I don't think her mental state is good. Maybe the haircut is a result of that."

"She is bit crazy." Katara agreed. "I can't just leave her somewhere on the island though. Can you wake her up so I can explain what's going on?"

"I can give her something to nullify the sedation, yes."

"You really are a doctor, wow."

"What's that supposed to mean??"

"Nothing, I'm just kind of surprised about how different this world is and it's people and its reindeers. It's kinda cool."

"Awwww you're making me blush." Chopper smiled giddily before dancing off to get the medication for the patient.

He administered it and a few moments later Azula groggily started waking up, "Where..." She shot up looking at her surroundings, "YOU FIEND! LET ME GO!"

"I will!" Katara shouted, quickly grabbing some water from her pouch for defense if azula started breathing fire again.

Azula, looking like a madman with her hair all devilished and a vulgar expression on her face paused for a moment. "You what now?" She asked, wondering if it's a trick.

"I will if you cooperate for a minute. This world is not our own and I have no clue how to get back home."

"You're really having me listen to how much of a failure you are?"

Katara forced back a laugh, "At least I stopped you from becoming firelord. Zuko is probably stopping the war right now."

'At least I hope he is.' Katara thought to herself before continuing, "Im going to let you go, you can do whatever I guess. I can't control you. You have a new start. No firelord to please or try to be." She said remembering what Zuko had told her about his horrid father.

Azula looked down, not really knowing what to do with herself. This surprised the other, she really did expect a fight. Katara put the water back and was handed the key to the sea prism stone handcuffs. She unlocked it and azula massaged her arm since it had been stagnant for so long. There was a few moments of silence before she asked quietly, "Will we ever make it back home?"

"I'm not sure, but I sure as hell will try." Katara said genuinely, also feeling a little homesick.

Azula still had many questions but let her pride soak it up, not allowing herself to be too pathetic in front of her, well, ex-enemy. She decided upon seeing that they were docked somewhere to take her leave. Nothing really is keeping her there anymore, "See you never I guess." Azula walked off the boat and jumped onto the island, venturing off to figure out what she wanted in life now that her first dream was crushed.

"That was surprisingly easy." Katara mused, walking outside to see azula wander into town. Robin walked and joined Kataras side, "Are you doing okay?"

"Yeah. I'm just a little conflicted. Neither of us wanted this but I guess I did keep her from contributing to the war. But I still don't feel like any winners came out of this."

"All will be okay with time. Sometimes a sudden change of pace is what someone needs to grow."

Katara nodded sadly. Did she have some growing to do? Is that why she's here? What about Aang? Was her leaving really the best thing that could have happened to help him save the world?

"Hey Katara, how about we got shopping?"

"I don't have any money."

"Don't worry about that, sweetie. I got it covered." Robin smiled softly at her. "Let's go ask chopper if he's okay with watching the boat alone."

"Sounds good." She walked over to chopper who was sanitizing his med bay. "Hey chopper, do you think you'll be okay on your own for a few hours? Robin is going to help me buy clothes."

Chopper gasped in fright, "Me?! All alone!!??"

She tried to think of what chopper might want in exchange and remembered his comment back at the bottom of the ship where they first met, "I'll tell you how I do my healing when I get back."

His eyes shone with delight at this opportunity for new knowledge. Maybe with Kataras help, he'll get closer to being able to cure any disease. "Deal."

"Thank you!" She smiled and ran off to robin, excited to go see something other than the boat. She wondered if there were any other cool talking animals or weird things like brook on the island.

Robin took her to some of the more modest women's clothing shops she could find. Blue was definetly her color, so they looked for that first. Plus she had a lingering feeling that it made her more comfertable. She had heard that tribes tend to always make the same sort of clothes. A tradition of sorts.

"This looks cute. It seems your cut." She pulled out a knee length dress that was a nice neutral blue.

"Oh sure, I'll try it on. I think I'll need pants for fighting though. I'm not too sure how you do it."

"Lots of practice." Robin mused, putting the item in the hand basket before searching for attire more suitable for exercise.

As they got the hang of what Katara liked, disliked, and needed, they found more time to talk. Katara asked first, "So what sort of powers do you have? I remember someone saying you were a devil fruit user."

"Yes I am, I can make copies of myself bloom from anywhere. I mainly use arms and legs." She said, putting her arms up in a crossed pattern before chanting, "Dos flur." One arm appeared on her elbow while the other on the clothing rack, "I can also intertwine them to work as a unit. I often make a giant arm in battle."

"Can you feel it? Does it get distracting at all? Being two places at once?" She asked, touching her finger to the one on the clothing rack, index to index.

"Yes I can" She laughed lightly and put pressure against the curious girls finger. "It's not too distracting anymore. I like to remain vigilant." She let go of the flur as to save energy and conceal their identities a bit better. "What about you? There's so many forms of water, there had to be more to your ability than being the current."

"Well yes there is. There's many sub-forms for bending. I'm a natural at healing but of course there's ice, snow, mist, fog, steam, cloud, and swamp. The last one is still a little new to me. They use the abundance of water inside the plant to bend it to their liking, using mainly vines as their attack and defense. It's pretty cool. They would wrap themselves in it and pretend they're a giant swamp monster."

"How curious. And what were to happen if you try to control the water in a person?" Robin asked, quick as always, much to kataras unease. Maybe she overcompensated too much to avoid talking about blood bending.

"It's not possible."

Robin found this even more curious. She could sense she was lying about something and now she knows just what.

At the silence, Katara felt impelled to continue, "At least not without a full moon."

'There it is' Robin thought, happy to see that katara didn't continue hiding it. That would be no good for the crew if she kept the important stuff hidden.

"That's when water benders are at their strongest. It's kind of ironic since Sokka once dated the moon and was all depressed when she had to leave."

"What?"

"It's complicated, I'll tell you at checkout. The line seems long."

Robin shrugged and went to the last aisle they needed to check before they would head back with their haul. She was very glad she was put on team sunny. Zoro also had this lingering feeling that she was hiding something, and now, at least based of Kataras tells, Robin knew she didn't have much else to hide. Plus with knowing about water in general, she couldn't think of anything else that may have been left out that was of importance.
