"Welcome to Fairy Tail!" Lucy couldn't help but giggle as she looked up at the tall building that held her dream guild inside of it. Natsu looked on with pride, and Kasumi's cheeks were pink again, but this time with happiness. Of any place in the world, this guild was the one place where she had a voice.

Lucy couldn't wait to walk in through that door, see all of the great and powerful wizards she had read so much about, see how they worked and survived together...

"WE MADE IT BACK ALIVE!!" Natsu called, kicking the door open.

"We're home!" Happy called cheerfully.

"Hi everyone!" Kasumi said sweetly, and everyone greeted them back. The room was more of a bar scene than a meeting type like Lucy had expected. Everyone was drinking, smiling, and cheerful. It felt warm, and welcoming, and she liked it already.

"So I heard you went all out in Hargeon, you two." one man with buck teeth taunted the twins, making Kasumi cover her face in embarrassment, and Natsu stomped up to him. "Had to go starting trou-" He was interrupted when Natsu kicked him in the face!

"Why did you do that?!" Lucy shrieked. He attacked his own guild mate!

"You lied about Salamander!" Natsu shouted, Kasumi grabbing his arm. "I'm gonna kick your butt!" 

"Come on, Natsu! Get off the table!" But the other guy started shouting back.

"Don't get mad at me! I'm not the one to blame here! I'm just passing along a rumor I heard!" 

"It was just a rumor?!" Natsu shrieked.

"Natsu, quit it! You knew that, you dolt!" Kasumi kept trying to pull him down, while the others either glared or laughed at Natsu.

"You want to fight?!" 

"Let's go!"

"Natsu no!" But, the other man was already flying through people, making other people angry at Natsu.

"Now, now, Natsu." Happy waved his paw in a calming motion. "I think you need to calm dow-" But then Happy was hit with a flying person and sent flying back into the wall. Lucy just stared as everyone just started tearing into each other and tearing the bar room apart. 

"Oh wow. I'm actually standing inside the Fairy Tail Guild hall." 

"So Natsu finally made it back, huh?" Called a younger guy, about the same age as Natsu, Lucy, and Kasumi. He had dark hair, and only wore boxers. This was Gray Fullbuster. He was very talented, but had a bad habit of taking off his clothes when preparing for a fight. 

"Hi, Gray!" Kasumi's face grew very red when she saw him. "I didn't think you'd be here when we got back." He smiled when he saw her. 

"Oh, hey Kasumi. How was the trip?" She shrugged.

"We didn't find Igneel. Turns out, it was just a rumor." He shrugged back.

"Well, maybe next time it'll be Ryuu." Then he turned back to where Natsu was. "Now, it's time we settled things once and for all." He said, heading towards the cloud of dust, banging, grunts, and shouts that was the fight scene going on. 

Gray, your clothes?" Came from a woman with long brown hair, wearing only a blue bikini top and a pair of brown pants, and was drinking a glass of wine. This woman was Cana Alberona. She was a card magic user, and was always drinking.

"I don't have time for that!" Then he dove into the fray, and Cana sighed.

"You see? I don't date the men here because they have no class." She then proceeded to drink straight from the barrel, Lucy gasping at her. 

"Come here and fight me, Natsu!" Gray demanded, kicking people out of his way as Natsu held the other guy down by his arm and his face. 

"Not until you put some clothes on!" Natsu shouted back, just as a tall man wearing a full navy suit, wooden sandals, and spiky white hair came in.

"It's only noon and you boys are already whining like spoiled babies." This was Elfman. He was in the running for Fairy Tail's strongest physical man, and he liked to remind people of that a LOT. "I'm a real man! You want me to prove it to you?" Lucy sighed.

"I can't believe he's encouraging them." She said, just as both Natsu and Gray pulled back, swung, and sent Elfman flying across the room, out cold. "They knocked him out that easily?" 

"Elfman plays tough, but he's really a softie." Kasumi told her with a smile.

"Jeez, it's so noisy around here." This was said in a male voice behind them, followed by girlish giggles, and Kasumi cringed. 

"Oh great." She turned around, and met eye to eye with Loke, an orange haired wizard who wore a green jacket and shaded glasses.

"Hey, Kasumi. Miss me?" He winked, though he held two other girls on his lap. 

"Hey, Loke." Was all she could muster back, before a cup came flying and smacked Loke in the head.

"Are you alright?" one of the girls asked, and he got up, heading towards the scene, intending on finding the person who threw it.

"I'm gonna go fight. Only to protect you two." The girls swooned, and he stopped when he reached Kasumi, taking her chin in his hands and leaning in close. "But don't worry. You know you'll always be my first priority. And I promise, I won't rough up Natsu too bad." She closed her eyes, sighing.

"Thanks." She said shortly, and Lucy let out a sigh, before crossing Loke's picture out in her edition of Sorcerer Weekly, where she was keeping track of the eligible wizards.

"He's definitely off my list." Kasumi stepped back with her.

"Sorry. He's uh, we've... um..." She turned bright red again, trying to explain it, and Lucy remembered something from an earlier edition of Sorcerer Weekly.

"Oh! Aren't you two dating?" Kasumi shook her head.

"Absolutely not. He and I have been split for four months. The problem is, he seems to forget that." She crossed her arms, looking super embarrassed, and Lucy groaned.

"What the heck is wrong with these people? There's not one sane person in the whole place."

"Hello, are you new here?" Came a sweet voice, and Lucy's hero, the Mirajane, stood before her! 

"Hi Mirajane! This is Lucy! She wants to join Fairy Tail!" Mirajane smiled at the younger girl.

"Hi Kasumi! I'm glad you guys made it back okay! 

"Um, don't you think we should try to stop them or something?" Lucy asked, referring to the fighting boys, but Mirajane only smiled.

"It's always like this around here. I just leave them alone. Besides-" That was when Elfman, having been punched again by either Natsu, Gray or both, came flying over and landed on top of her, making Lucy gasp. "It's kind of fun, don't you think?" She forced out, before being knocked out herself, making Lucy panic.

"Aah! Don't die, Mirajane!" She screamed, before Gray, with Natsu holding his boxers, came flying at her, Natsu just laughing at Gray, who was really angry now.

"Give me back my underwear, jerk!" he demanded, Lucy freaking out, Gray noticing her and coming over casually. "Excuse me, Miss. Could I please borrow your underwear?" 

"As if!" She smacked him away with a pole she found, and Loke came hurrying over, lifting her into his arms bridal style.

"These guys are so insensitive. A woman has needs-" Then Loke was punched by Elfman, sending both him and Lucy to the ground.

"Real men speak with their fists, Loke!" And then Elfman was kicked away by Natsu!

"I told you to butt out!" 

"Aye." Happy whimpered, before Kasumi came up behind Natsu and pushed him across the room, stealing Gray's underwear back from him. 

"Gray, get these on!" She shouted, running after the other boy.

And the whole time, Cana was busy with a large mug of alcohol, of course. "So loud. So much for having a drink to relax." She then turned around and held up one of her cards. "That's enough, you guys." She threatened. "I suggest that you knock it off." 

"Oh yeah? Says who?" Gray demanded, his fists together, preparing his ice magic, while Elfman let out a roar, his arm being doused in rocks, ready to punch. Loke was busy with his ring magic, for once looking completely serious. 

"You punks can be such a nuisance."

"Oh, like you have room to talk." Kasumi growled, her tower of water swirling around her, while Natsu prepared his Fire Dragon Iron Fists attack.

"I'm ready for you!" And Lucy? Was hiding behind Happy, terrified. Now, the real guns were out.

"They always fight like this?" She whimpered, Happy just smiling away. 

"Uh huh."

"You don't seem worried." That was when a large foot stomped in the center of the room, and a giant stood over them all!

"WOULD YOU FOOLS STOP BICKERING LIKE CHILDREN?!" 

"He's huge!" Lucy was practically in tears from fear of seeing this giant that made all of them freeze.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you were still here, Master." Mirajane said in her sweet voice. The giant grunted, and Lucy flipped.

"Did you say Master?!" Natsu started laughing.

"Man, talk about a bunch of babies! Looks like I won this round, you guys-" Natsu was silenced when the giant stepped on him, making Lucy gasp out of fear, especially when the giant turned to look at her. 

"WELL, seems we've a new recruit." He said in his loud, growling voice. 

"Yes, Sir!" Lucy said, flinching under his sight. She panicked as he let out a roar, but then he started shrinking, smaller and smaller, until he went from a fearful beast to a little man in a funny hat, about three feet tall. 

"Nice to meet you!" He said sweetly, holding up a hand.

"He's tiny. This little guy's really in charge here?" Lucy could hardly believe it.

"Of course he is!" Mirajane chuckled. "Allow me to introduce the Fairy Tail Guild Master Makarov." He let out a grunt, before launching himself up onto the railing on the second floor, not looking very happy with his guild.

"You've gone and done it again, you bunch of clods! Just take a look at how much paperwork The Magic Council sent me this time!" he held up a large stack of paper that barely fit inside his small hand. "This is the biggest pile of complaints yet. Have you lost your minds? All you kids are good for is getting the higher-ups mad at me!" Everyone looked away, feeling ashamed of their actions, and Makarov could see that clearly. "However..." He then set fire to the paperwork! "I say to heck with the Magic Council!" He threw the flaming pile over the railing, and Natsu caught it like a dog after a treat. He loved the way Makarov's flames tasted. "Now, listen up. 

"Any power that surpasses reason still comes from reason right? Magic isn't some kind of miraculous power. It is a talent that only works when the flow of energy inside of us  and the flow of energy in the natural world are in perfect synchronization. To perform magic, one must have a strong mind and the ability to focus. It should take over your being and come pouring out of your soul. If all we do is worry about following rules, then our magic will never progress. Don't let those blowhards on the council scare you. Follow the path you believe in. Because that's what makes the Fairy Tail Guild number one!" This earned a cheer throughout the whole room, everyone holding up one finger with their thumb ever so much, and Lucy knew, that she had already found a wonderful guild.
