Her Hah Moment

"So is this the real Bunnymund or the clone?"

Bunnymund laughed. "We're not supposed to give you the answer remember? And for the next three nights we won't." He twirled her.

"Why not?"

Bunnymund smiled, continuing to waltz with Kasper. "So everyone has a fair chance for you to choose. It's not from charm you should pick but from matters of the heart."

Kasper's eyes narrowed as she smiled. "Bunny?"

He laughed and shook his head. "I'm acutally the double." He smiled and bowed. "I won't tell you next time." He walked away.

Kasper stared at him as he walked away. He acted so much like Bunnymund had in the past week. It didn't seem like she got it wrong. But she didn't really know him that well.

"Princess?"

Kasper looked at the young boy. "Oh. I was just gathering my thoughts."

The boy nodded and walked away. Kasper sighed and walked into the crowd, finding Cupid.

Cupid raised a brow. "Why do you look bummed?"

Kasper shrugged. "Where is he? Is he Bunnymund?"

Cupid let out a small laugh and smiled. "What have I said about the one?"

Kasper sighed and felt defeated. "When you chase love it runs from you, when you run from love it chases you."

"Mhm." Cupid nodded with a big smile.

"But I'm tired of waiting and trying. What if I'm actually meant to be alone forever?"

Cupid let out a small laugh and placed a hand on Kasper's shoulder. "Walk with me."

Kasper felt her shoulders drop as she walked with Cupid to the second floor.

Cupid looked down at the dance floor. "I can't imagine a more perfect dance floor."

Kasper paused. "I thought you didn't like the colors of the dance floor."

"I don't." Cupid smiled and gestured for Kasper to look at them. "But what do you see?"

Kasper looked. "I don't know. A bunch of people dancing around, looking for me."

Cupid walked to long, large balcony, opening the glass door. She looked back at Kasper. "Come for some air, maybe you'll see everything a bit differently."

Kasper looked over her friend. Had she not listened? Did she not hear that Kasper just said "alone forever?" She stared at Cupid, who smiled as she waited. It was strange to just realize that Cupid was still in the same black skirt she always wore. Kasper followed Cupid out onto the balcony.

Cupid walked to the edge and rest against the railing. "I remember when I first met you."

Kasper gave a small smile and rest on the railing next to Cupid. "I didn't think I was being super nice. I was just doing what I felt was right."

Cupid took a deep breath and looked out at the fountain in the courtyard below. She smiled slyly. "See that down there?"

Kasper looked at the courtyard. "Where?" She squinted her eyes and tried to see if something was in the fountain. "Where?" She turned to Cupid, but Cupid was gone. She looked at the glass door, but it was closed. Everyone inside was enjoying themselves to the music.

Kasper paused, taking it all in. She closed her eyes and sighed, feeling the cold air of the night move through her.

"Princess?"

Kasper gasped as she turned to the voice. She paused, noting the boy from before. "Oh... Hi. What was your name again?"

The boy paused and gave a small laugh as he walked toward Kasper. "I never gave it."

"So what is it?"

He gave a small smirk. "Let's have a little fun."

Kasper smiled, blushing as the boy came closer to her. "Alright."

The boy tenderly approached her and held her hands. "Allow me the honors to have a dance with you, and I'll tell you my name."

Kasper looked up to the stranger's blue eyes. She felt her breath get taken away as she managed to see his blue eyes. "Okay." She nodded.

The boy did the same as when he first saw her. They stared at each other's eyes in breath-taking awe. The boy slowly smirked and bowed slightly as he held out his hand. "Would you like to dance?"

Kasper paused and reached for his hand. "Yes."

The boy let out a small laugh and swayed towards her with the beat of the music. He placed his hand on her hip and held her hand in the other. "I only know how to dance waltzes. Is that okay?"

Kasper blushed and let out a small laugh. "Yeah."

The boy smiled and began to sway and lead Kasper around the balcony in graceful movement. He stared at Kasper's eyes like they were his gravity. His heart was in racing and he was almost becoming nervous, but it was fun nervous. It made him smile just a bit more.

Kasper blushed a bit harder and lowered her eyes. "So are you going to tell me your name?"

"What?"

"The deal we just made."

"Oh." He laughed and twirled Kasper. "Right. And yes, but after this song."

Kasper grinned as she twirled back to the boy. "Okay."

The boy began stepping the sides. "So what do you do other than be a princess?"

Kasper smiled, noting he was a bit tense. "I like to draw."

The boy smiled in delight. "I bet it's great. Do you draw with crayons or something else?"

"Crayons?!"

The boy laughed. "I draw with crayons. There's nothing wrong with that."

Kasper paused, something felt strangely... perfect. "No. There isn't."

The boy twirled her and bowed as the song ended. "So what do you draw with? Can I see your drawings some time?"

Kasper laughed. "Not so many questions at once."

The boy lowered his head as he smiled, blushing slightly. "Sorry."

"No. It's fine. I like it."

The boy glanced at Kasper then glanced away. "I don't have much time though. And I really enjoyed dancing with you."

Kasper smiled. "I enjoyed dancing with you too." She stared into his eyes with a smile. She wanted to take off his mask and see his actual face. She wanted to know him. "Hey... Can I--"

The clock tower's large bell rang.

The boy gasped and looked around him. He looked down at his clothes, but nothing was happening. The clock rang again.

"Sorry." He ran inside.

"Wait!" Kasper quickly followed, but everyone clapped as she entered the room. She managed to see a blue end of a coat disappearing into the crowd. She focused on it and used her power to make her like a ghost, running through people in the crowd.

Kasper desperately ran and turned solid just in time to get a hold of the blue cloth. "Wait." She looked up, and gasped. Her eyes widened and she began to blush as she stared into Bunnymund's eyes. "No way..."

 Jack continued running down the long hall, trying to find a way out. His mask was gone, and his clothes were turning back to its former state.

Cupid rapidly flew in front of him with her wings physically showing. "Where are you going?" She paused and looked him over. She stared into his eyes with wide eyes.

"The suitor ran this way!"

Jack looked at Cupid with wide eyes. Cupid grabbed him and slammed them both into a large cupboard. She held her hand over his mouth as they listened the guards running by. She waited for silence and turned to Jack. "Why are you running away?"

"Look at me!"

Cupid paused at Jack's raised voice. She looked him over, observing his torn clothes. He could look penniless to any other person, but to Cupid there was another story. She smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I see an abused heart. One that lost love and so begged for it. Did you give up on it?"

Jack paused and furrowed his brows. "What?"

Cupid rolled her eyes playfully. "You came here. Why?"

"I could." Jack sighed. "I was able to."

"No, no." Cupid wagged a finger. "There's always another reason. Especially when it's love."

Jack paused and lowered his eyes. He took a deep breath. "I just felt that it was right. I felt like this grand ball was somewhere I need to be. This was the right time and right place for something."

Cupid looked away to hide her smile. "Are you coming the next two nights?"

"If I can. Well..." Jack shrugged. "Even if I can't, I will." He let out a small laugh. "There's just something about Kasper... I wanted to stay all night."

Cupid grinned and nodded to herself. "You should go home."

Jack looked at Cupid with furrowed brows.

"You need rest. You definitely will need it if you're going to come back tomorrow night."

Jack looked away, recalling his breath taking moment. He sighed and nodded.

Cupid turned to Jack and led him out. "Come on. I'll help you out."

                                                               ~~~~~~~
 Kasper stared out into the courtyard. She was in her own world now. Her blue eyes stared and stared, beginning to stare into nothingness.
"Princess?" Bunnymund stepped onto the balconly, removing his mask. "Are you okay?"
Kasper simply lowered her eyes. She wanted to be alone for a moment, but somehow Bunnymund was making it better. "In a way."
Bunnymund stood beside her, staring out at the night. "I'm sorry for whatever I did."
Kasper gave a quick side smile. She looked up, noticing the sky was getting brighter.
I looked for him all night... I never even got his name...
