"This is all your fault! Just because of you two, I lost the love of my life!" Karma shouted at his parents with such fierceness even though he knew the damage has been done. The truth was, he never wanted to spend his time with the girl, never wanted to cheat and had never thought of hurting his husband, no, ex-husband. It was all his parent's fault. Blinded by greed, envy, and jealousy, Both the Akabane elders thought it would be best if they could ruin their son's life, break him and shape him into their will, sign a contract with the Kiriji family group then get all their assets. 

"It was for your own good! not like you both can have a child anyway" Mr Akabane scoffed as karma growls in retaliation. "YOU BOTH ARE THE WORST PARENTS IN THE WORLD. UP TO 25 YEARS AGO I DIDN'T EXIST IN THIS FAMILY SO WHY NOW?! oh, let me guess, it's because you both had finally faced bankruptcy right? Good for you! Because I am not helping you anymore!". Both his parents were surprised before a loud smack could be heard throughout the halls. "YOU LISTEN HERE BRAT, YOU WOULDN'T OF BEEN IN THIS WORLD IF IT WEREN'T FOR US"

Karma let his head fall to the side a bit then slowly stood up straight, a red handprint evident on his cheek. "I never asked to be born nor have I ever asked to have you two as my parents. I wouldn't have even gone to LayRee if it weren't for your threat. I mean seriously, threatening me that you will hurt Gakushuu? Even went as far as stalking him when I was working?" Karma laughed a bit though now a smirk was on his face. His hands clenched as he stepped forward, a step closer to them "smile for the camera". He whispered and walked away as officers busted down the door with the news reporter following behind. "You both are under arrest for abusive behaviours, trespassing, selling illegal things and many more. Please follow us to the station"

Outside, Karma was applying an ice pack towards his swollen cheek. He couldn't return to his own home as it would remind him of Gakushuu and staying in the family house was out of the question. Was he going to explain it to Gakushuu? No, how could he possibly do that? Everything in his life has fallen apart. Now that he thought of it, He didn't have a reason to live in this world anymore. He had stopped his suicidal ways due to Gakushuu's request but now that he's gone. There was no one stopping him from doing so. No one to support him nor guide him. 'Guess I was right to not throw away those blades.." He thought with a sad smile but first, he had to tell Gakushuu the truth.

Meanwhile, in the Asano household. Gakushuu was streaming through the channels when suddenly he heard the news reporter spoke about the Akabane. Instantly, he went back to the channel and decided to watch it. 

"This is Kaylee from TV6 news. Today, Mr and Mrs Akabane have been arrested for abusing their son, selling illegal things and trespassing their son's home where they had stalked Mr Karma's ex-husband. From the statement given from the victim, Mr and Mrs Akabane has threatened their son into dating the daughter of the Kiriji's family group. If he refused, they were going to hire people to assault his ex-husband. Karma, their son and the victim, agreed to their plans in return for his husband's safety. That is all I know, Back to Mr Suga at the station"

Gakushuu was stunned, his hands shaking as he finally found out about the truth of karma's cheating. 'wait.. shit. shit! shit! shit! I left him and signed the divorce papers already... he signed it too. I just got him out of his suicidal phase too..' Suddenly, his face paled as he rushed to get out of the house. How could he had been so stupid? To trust whatever he sees without further explanation? To leave Karma after he promised to always stay by his side, knowing fully well how fragile the other's mind was. 

Gakushuu ran towards the first place he could think of, their house. Expecting to see the redhead somewhere in there after unlocking the door with a spare key but to his surprise, every room had that one thing Gakushuu have tried so hard to get rid of. knives and blades. This only made him worried about karma more, it had only been a few months since they had divorced but he knew what Karma had done to cope with his pain. Lastly, He went up to their bedroom that was filled with their pictures together, presents Gakushuu had returned and things that only brought back sweet memories. On the bed lay both their wedding suits though Gakushuu could see the patch of dried blood on Karma's side of the bed though somehow their suits were kept clean. 

On the study table, lay a single letter that was written by karma. With shaking hands, Gakushuu went to grab it and slowly he started to read.

     Hey Love...

    I am sure you heard the news about my family earlier today. Shocking huh?  We promised to keep no secrets between us but I guess I broke our promise first. Remember the first time we met? You hated my guts yet I continued to talk with you. Funny how it's been 10 years since then. You know, when you accepted my feelings for you on our last day of Junior High... I felt extremely lucky to have you. I felt like I could move mountains and still be energized to cuddle you after. Months after that, you found out about my mental health and the cuts that littered my arms. We had quite a huge fight, didn't we?  You helped me out of that phase and we had a happy life. 

  Months after, I proposed to you and we got married in the library like the total nerds we are. I missed those days, I missed your warmth when you sat next to me, I missed everything about you but I know you would never return to my side. It was as if fate was testing us before cutting our red string. Now, while you are reading this, you must have figured out that I have returned to self-harm as a coping mechanism. Just this few months, I had been in and out of the hospital so frequently that I'm surprised all my attempts to leave have failed. I was lost Gakushuu, I didn't know who to lean on and the devils on my shoulder were getting to my head. I was prescribed with many medicines but I refuse to take any because you once told me drugs wouldn't ever fix the problem. Just preserved it.

   I collapsed soon after when I was searching for our albums to be kept in a box due to having not enough sleep. I wanted you to know the truth behind my actions and today it has been delivered. From now on, you are free to live however you want as I won't be bothering you anymore. You can sell the house if you want? help me sell my belongings too alright? I won't ever be returning home, I won't even be existing from now on. Goodbye Gakushuu Asano, The love of my life and my only light in the dark. I always had loved you and always will continue doing so.

Gakushuu read the letter a few times over, his eyes not believing what he had just read. Just then, his phone went off and he rushed to answer it "Hello?" 

"This is officer dean, Are you Gakushuu?"

"Yes, I am. May I know the purpose of this call?"

"You were the only number listed in his important contacts. Now listen closely, Karma Akabane has attempted suicide and somehow survived it. He was found in the sea after jumping off the bridge but thankfully a fisherman nearby had saved him. He is now in the Elmore Hospital so if you may, please hurry to the hospital"

"Y-yes sir"

He ended the call and took a deep breath in before hurriedly making his way towards the hospital. His hands shaking, his head spinning with thoughts after thoughts as he could only pray that Karma was safe. He wasn't there for him and it was certainly his fault. Stupid, dorky, hardworking, understanding, weak, cheesy, cheeky and many more. He was so many things yet Gakushuu knew karma was still a fighter and a child at heart. Karma was stronger than him, both physically and mentally. 

Had this been the other way around, Karma would have listened to his explanation and comforted him instead of pushing him away without listening to any explanation. Had Gakushuu been in Karma's place, He would have surely obeyed without a word, leave his partner alone and never to return. Yet, Karma had stayed truly strong until the final end and had also done his part in clearing the misunderstanding. Now, all Gakushuu can do was do his part in supporting Karma and helping him back to recovery.
