A week later

Duryodhana was agitated. Karna informed them that he could arrange everything but for the last 4 days, he locked himself into the supply storeroom and asked everyone not to disturb him. Shakuni tried to say something but Bheesm and Vidur shooed him away. 

Inside the storage house, Karna sat on meditation. He finished all the puja to call Devi Lakshmi and Devi Vasundhara.

Karna, 'Devi Lakshmi, Mata Vasundhara please listen to my prayers. Please help me with all the supplies I need for the Digvijaya,'

Both Devi Lakhsmi and Mother earth appeared in front of him. 

Lakshmi, 'Putra Karna, please open your eyes. Ask me what do you want from us?

Karna, 'Mata I want you to help me in gathering the supplies for the army. I can use my boon from Devi Parvati to create an army of my own but for them, I need food, clothes and other staff. So I need both of your help.'

Devi Vasundhara, 'Sure son, we will help you with everything.'

Devi Lakshmi, 'My son I gave you the bag from where you can get anything you want. Please open it and then place it on the floor.''

Karna did that and by the blessings of both Devis all the things needed to maintain the army came out.'

Then the Devis blessed him and they disappeared.

Karna came out of the room and asked Vidur to check everything. After seeing all the supplies he almost fainted. Later at Duryodhana's room, Shakuni informed, 'Mere bacche, I am stunned. How did he manage everything?'

Duryodhana tiredly, 'Mamashri, what's your problem? He is arranging everything and even in that you are having problems.'

Shakuni thought, 'Why I cannot instigate his doubt? Why he is not showing any anger, jealousy towards anyone? I need to talk to  Mantra.'

Mantra's place

Shakuni, 'Mantra I don't understand what is happening? Why cannot I develop the old anger and jealousy in Duryodhana. We have Karna as our servant but Duryodhana is still treating him as his friend. In fact, he did not support Draupadi's cheedharan. Why? Why can't he become the evil person we want him to be?'

Mantra, 'Shakuni, from what I am seeing in my magic water, there is something that is preventing him to go fully on the dark side. Some kind of shield that is protecting him. He is behaving badly as you poison him since childhood. But now something or someone is there that is protecting him from my magic. What is it?'

Shakuni, 'And most importantly how that Karna is arranging everything. As if he is creating everything out of thin air.'

Mantra, 'Shakuni just keep an eye on him. It's better if you go with him in the Digvijaya.'

Shakuni, 'What...Digvijaya..but how can I? Don't you know I cannot sleep without my soft bed and cannot eat without the royal feast?'

Mantra (irritated),' That's your problem. If you want to know about Karna you have to keep him in front of you always.'

Shakuni returned but Mantra thought, 'Why can't I decipher Karna? Who is he? Why my magic can't touch him. Should I take help from my nephew Andhakarasur? No, no it's not the right time. I myself try to know about him.'

The day before Digvijaya Yatra,

Karna went to Ganga ghat for Suryapuja. Then he looked at the sun and said, 'Bless me Pitashri. Tomorrow I am going to start my Digvijaya. I want to show the entire Aryavart that what's the true meaning of Dharma. To protect my country I need to unite all the kingdoms.'

Then he used the boon given by Devi Parvati. He chanted the mantra to create the army for Digvijaya. When he opened his eyes he saw the huge army with horses, elephants, chariots. He just smiled, 'Duryodhana, now my journey has started. You by that dice game gave me the chance to unite my country. Now I have my own army which will help me to fulfill my dream.'

In Hastinapur Palace, the Royal court

Shakuni, 'Kulguuru you gave us the auspicious moment for Digvijay but we have no army. How are we supposed to start the war?'

Bheesm, 'When Karna arranged the supplies, he will definitely arrange Army as well.'

Dhritarashtra, 'How Tatshri, you are saying as if he will create an army out of nowhere. We need to mobilize our army to start the war.'

Suddenly a guard rushed into the court, 'Maharaj, Mahamahim, please come out.'

Bheesm, 'What happened? Why are you so tensed?'

Guard, 'Please come out, there is something you need to see.'

When the king and all other members came out, they did not believe in their eyes. The vacant field outside the palace is fully covered with a huge army. It has infantry, elephants, horses, chariots everything they needed for the Digvijay.

Dhritarashtra, 'Sanjay, what happened? Why is everyone silent?'

Sanjay, 'Maharaj, we have an army in front of the palace.'

Dhritarashtra, 'Whose army is it?'

Karna came in front of them, 'It's the army which will go for the Digvijaua yatra under Hastinapur's banner.'

Duryodhana, 'But from where did you get them?'

Karna, 'I have a boon by which I can create my own army.'

 Duryodhana, 'You have such power then why don't you use it for yourself, Mitra? You can win any kingdom to be the king.'

Karna sarcastically, 'Gods gave me the powers to protect those who cannot defend themselves. I don't want to use it for my own benefit. Big powers bring high responsibilities and we have to be very cautious to use that. But let's leave it Yuvraj. You won't understand. 

Duryodhana was in dilemma. Karna's words disturbed him, 'Do I really want to be the Chakravarty Samrat? My own kingdom has so many problems. I can use Karna's powers to develop their lives. But yes once I become the Samrat, I can help others as well. I will ask my Mitra how to make other people happy.'

Shakuni entered the room, 'Bere Bacche, now our dream will be fulfilled. After you become the Samrat I will be the prime minister. We will have all the wealth. Your mother sacrificed a lot for this family. Now she will be the Samragyini of the entire nation.'

Duryodhana, 'Yes Mamashri, I will make my mother the supreme queen. Then we will unite all people of Aryavart together. We will bring the social changes to all the kingdoms as we made in Hastinapur.'

Shakuni, 'Mere Bacche, you don't need to worry about that. I can manage every administrative work. You just sit here and relax.'

Duryodhana, 'No Mamashri, I will go with Karna. I can't let my Mitra do all the works. I have to be there to support him.'

Shakuni, 'Why? I mean you are the Yuvraj. You shall just order him to do the work for him. It's his duty to obey all your orders.'

Duryodhana, 'Mamashri, please I am telling him for the last time. He is still my best friend, my brother. So you should give him the respect he deserves. I don't have the habit to repeat myself, so remember my words.'

Shakuni, 'Okay as you wish.'

Duryodhana himself was shocked. For the first time, he rebuffed his Mamashri's words but it seemed to be right. Karna was his best friend and he was not going to let anyone insult him.

Later in the meeting room, everyone stood in front of the map of Aryavarta

Duryodhana, 'We need a proper strategy to start our Yatra.'

Shakuni, 'We will start from Dwarka. They will definitely try to take revenge for Pandavas' insults.'

Karna, 'No...Panchal. What I know both Sri Krishna and Haldhar Balram were angry with the Pandavas. So they won't do anything. But Panchal will definitely try to avenge their daughter's humiliation. Before they do anything we have to strike first.'

Duryodhana, 'Yes that's a good idea.'

Then a servant came and informed Shakuni that everything was ready as per his instructions.

Karna, 'We have all the necessary supplies for the Digvijay. What are the other arrangements do we need Gandharraj.'

They all came out and saw a few bull carts full of things like sweets, royal dresses, perfumes, different foods, spices and all other luxurious things.

Bheesm asked irritatingly, 'What is the meaning of these?'

Shakuni, 'Oh those are for me and Yuvraj.'

Karna, 'What, are you also coming with me?'

Shakuni, 'Yes, you are going to fight, but I will do the diplomatic works.'

Duryodhana, 'Mitra, how can I leave such a chance to see you winning all the kings single-handedly?'

Karna, 'As you wish Yuvraj, but why do you need all those luxurious things then. It will slow us down. We shall not give time to our rivals to prepare, We shall attack fast.'

Shakuni, 'But these things are necessary for a Prince.'

Karna, 'We are going on a war, not a picnic.'

Bheesm, 'Shakuni he is right, leave all those unnecessary things here. And if you cannot then just let the young boys go.'

Shakuni, 'No, no mahamahim. I have to go. Otherwise who will take care of my dear nephew?'

Bheesm, 'One who can try to disrobe his own Bhabishri and make conspiracy to enslave his cousins, is more than capable enough to take care of himself.' Saying that he left.

After Karna left Duryodhana sighed, 'Mamashri, I might win the dice game but I lost my best friend.'

Shakuni, 'Don't worry he will come around. Just focus on the war.'
