The mouth watering aroma of the freshly cooked food by the grihlakshmi on anga spread in the whole chamber. " Done " Vrushali sighed and rose on her feet, " Aai, I am fifteen years old now, so I am mature right? " Vedangi who was standing besides her questioned. Supriya suppressed her giggle, vedangi looked at her with sadness on her face, " Yes meenu, you are mature " Vrushali interrupted, making vedangi grin.
" So, I want to cook food " Vedangi said clasping her hands together.

" Meenu, cooking food isn't magic, you have to practice for many days " Vrushali tried convincing her, while supriya was still suppressing her giggles, " Stop giggling " Vrushali mock glared at her. " Why do want to cook when you have two mothers to cook delicious food for you? " Supriya asked sitting on her knees. " Aai someday I would be also married and how would I impress my in- laws then" Vrushali and supriya looked at each other and a chill ran down their spine. They had always looked at vedangi as a little child and that immediate statement from her, gave them goosebumps.

" Come now teach me " Vedangi pulled them . Vedangi then prepared half - cooked, burnt food under the guidance of vrushali and supriya, but there was a satisfaction on her face.
" Jyeshth rani, would we serve this food to everyone? " Supriya asked pulling vrushali aside. " Yes priya, because vedangi should learn that cooking food is not easy job to learn in blink of eyes. Let she learn " Vrushali said convincing.

Vrushali and supriya then served food to everyone. Shon, karna and all the kids looked at vrushali in disbelief. The chapatis were burnt, the gravy had excess water , rice was half cooked, " Vahini! " Shon looked at vrushali with confusion and frown covering his face. " Today the dinner is made by meenakshi " Vrushali said to everyone's astonishment.

Shon immediately tore a piece of chapati and dipped it in the over- watery gravy. " It's too tasty meenu " Shon said chewing the food. Karna was still looking at his daughter with appreciation in his eyes. " You've grown up so much " He spoke his lips carving a huge smile, all her brothers also praised the food made by vedangi. After all the men were done with dinner, all women sat for dinner.

Vedangi swallowed the morsel of food and choked immediately, the gravy was too spicy and salt was almost missing. She looked at all her family members with puppy eyes, all were looking at her and a gentle smile played on their lips. " Why didn't you all tell me, that this food was this bad"
Vrushali sat besides her and Caressed her face, " Because family doesn't blame you, family helps you to grow better and also this was the first time you cooked food " She consoled her.

" Then what would everyone eat now" Dvipat asked innocently. " Why do my little boy need to worry about this " Durva pinched his cheeks, " Means kaki, the food is so bad to taste " Vedangi questioned. " Did you forget? When you came into the kitchen, I was already preparing food " Vrushali chuckled. Whole family then had the dinner with jokes and smiles.

Why only we are blamed everytime? Only because they went to exile and we didn't? " Lakshmana asked fiercely, her hand was shaking.

" I don't have answers for your questions lakshi " Vedangi lowered her gaze. " What questions lakshmana" Vrushali asked from behind. " Nothing aai " Vedangi said faking a small smile and instructed lakshmana to keep quiet through eyes. Lakshmana as usual was stubborn, " Kaki, I heart two women calling pitashree and karna kaka as adarmi and they called me and jiji daughters of sinners, I asked jiji, why only we are blamed, when the fault was from both sides during the dyut sabha " Lakshmana spoke in one go.

Vrushali closed her eyes and sighed, vedangi looked at her with tension and lakshmana glared at those ladies, who were still gossiping. Vrushali walked towards them slowly, "pranipat dear ladies, I am the elder queen of ang. My daughters told me that, you called them ' daughters of sinners ' , I have no complain about it, but just mark my words, one day you would hail the name of their fathers with respect, I bet you " Vrushali spoke swiftly. " One day their fathers, would win all the kingdoms on their own bravery . " She added referring to karna. She whirled swiftly in her usual way ( giving jerk to angavastra that was wrapped around her right wrist) .

" And lakshmana, not only us, no one has answers for your questions putri " Vrushali cupped her cheeks. Three of then came to the palace, where durva, shon, duryodhan, supriya, vrishasen and bhanumati were waiting for them. " Me and shon are leaving for digvijay yatra next week " Karna immediately snapped, " What! Next week! " Vrushali said in disbelief " But how? Why? So immediately? " She blabered.

" It was decided in today's rajsabha vahini, we have started the preparations already " Shon said with a wide grin. " And why do you fear aai, me and send bhrata are going with them " Chitrasen said smiling sheepishly and everyone chuckled.
Vrushali nodded Assuringly, " Then, let's start the preparations, hurry up".
