Finally Realised
This one definitely has spoilers for Assassination Classroom, so if you haven't finished the anime, I wouldn't suggest reading it.
I'm not really as proud of this one, but I thought I would upload it anyway, (as sometimes you got to put up with only uploading crap). But I hope anyone who reads this enjoys it despite me not being that proud of it.
Anyway, enjoy.

"Man... What a day..." The red head loudly exhaled to himself, placing his backside down on a seat at a lonely table within a public cafe, as he had decided to order himself some food to eat, alongside a hot drink. It had been one of those days where it had just felt like it wanted to drag on forever, and he was driven to the point he felt pretty mentally exhausted. It felt good to know that he wouldn't have to cook anything himself when he got home and he could likely just flop over onto his living room couch and pass out for a bit. Not that he didn't enjoy his job though, because don't be mistaken, he liked it a lot, as it was what he had wanted when talking to Koro Sensei all those years ago during a moment of careers counseling. There were just some days that weren't as good as others.
"I will have a coffee to go, please." A voice said at the counter, seeming to hand his money over after mentioning his order. Karma wasn't quite sure why, but without even looking at the person, it felt like whoever just spoke to the person running the cafe sounded like someone he had heard before. Their voice had an extreme familiarity to it that he just couldn't quite place. And it wasn't until he glanced up from his meal and spotted an adult with short, blue hair, his suspicions as to whoever the voice belonged to was confirmed. What a coincidence it was to see him here.
"Hey, Nagiiiisa!" Karma called from his seat, of course getting a few glances from random strangers, not that he really took notice to them, because he didn't really care at all. Hearing his name called, the blue haired adult turned around in wonder, until he rose his eyebrows, spotting his old friend sitting at a table, eating food alone. Karma. It had been a long while since they had last seen each other, as their adult lives kept them pretty busy. So contacting each other wasn't something that happened very often between the both of them.
"Um, actually, I think I'm just going to sit over there and drink this. Thank you." Nagisa said to the person behind the counter once he was handed his coffee, and he slowly walked over to Karma's table, taking the seat opposite him, while placing his hot drink down onto the table. "It has been a while, Karma." Nagisa smiled at the red head, who grinned back in return, knowing he couldn't agree more.
"It really has. I see you're still just as short as ever, even after seven years." Karma chuckled, while Nagisa groaned a little in distaste at such a comment. He had been pretty unlucky unlike everyone else. Everyone else from their old E-Class ended up shooting up in height, growing to be quite tall. But him? He probably only grew by only one whole centimeter since graduating, and he had remained the same ever since. Sometimes it made adult life frustrating, with people not always believing he was as old as he said he was.
"Yeah, well... I hope you're keeping yourself out of trouble." The blue haired male responded, as he decided to take a sip of his still hot coffee, only to burn his tongue in the process, as he thought it would have cooled down by now. His friend did burst into laughter at his moment of pain, but once he had managed to stop laughing and mocking Nagisa for burning himself, he went on to actually reply to the statement.
"Of course I have. What? Do you think I've just been planning on punching every person I meet in the face to get what I want?" Karma said, while Nagisa was recovering from the stinging in his tongue. A devilish smirked appeared across his face, while he continued to talk. "Believe me, I wish it were that easy. But it's not like a few manipulating words ever hurt anyone." Karma cackled almost like a demon himself, and Nagisa could practically see the devil horns and the tail, along with flames burning all around him, (of course that was just part of his imagination). "What about you? I'm surprised you haven't picked up teaching at the E-Campus yet. You're a teacher, aren't you? I would have probably dropped that crappy school to work there by now if I were you..." He spoke thoughtfully.
It did bring a small grin to Nagisa's face, hearing him talk fondly about the E-Campus. After all, that place had been a place that had really grown on them all, especially with the presence of their tentacle-wielding teacher: Koro Sensei. It was even because of him that anyone in that class loved being part of the E-class, despite being looked down upon by others in the main campus. Even when they had chances to leave and move up to a higher class, they had always wanted to remain with their teacher. He taught them a lot. More than they probably would have ever learnt without him. None of them would have likely grew up into the adults they were today if it wasn't for that octopus.
"I'm a teacher - I don't just abandon my students - no matter how much of a delinquent any of them can be." Nagisa said with a warm smile, seeing Karma raise his eyebrows at him, while a small look flickered across his eyes. Something like that, hearing Nagisa say that, it did almost sound like it came from Koro Sensei himself. Again, Karma chuckled, finding it no surprise that Nagisa was probably leading his class in the same kind of way as their old teacher. Nagisa wouldn't have even known to become a teacher if it wasn't for him.
"Well, I'm glad you haven't turned out to be like one of those other teachers I wish I got the chance to kill back in school." Karma hummed, until the two of them fell quiet among themselves, as the red head was just eating his food, while Nagisa decided to start drinking his coffee again, thankfully also avoiding burning his tongue in the process. Nagisa only went to stare into space, as he thought about how different their lives were now. Since graduating from the E-Class, his mother and father had been getting along so much better, and he had been allowed to cut his hair shorter, the way he preferred it. Karma's hairstyle had changed slightly too. It was still the same kind of shade of red, but he didn't really let his fringe fall so much over his face anymore. Such a hairstyle actually suited him well alongside two mercury coloured, less threatening eyes. They seemed a lot softer than they had been when he had been such a daring teenager.
"Hm?" Karma rose an eyebrow, noticing how Nagisa had completely spaced out, not just that, but he was staring directly at him, seeming to have his eyes locked upon his own. He blinked a little in confusion, wondering why the one with blue hair was staring at him in such a fashion. Leaning forward slightly, Karma decided to snap his fingers right in front of his face, snapping Nagisa out of it. "You okay there? You looked like you were on your way to a trip to the moon." He joked.
"H-Huh? O-Oh, yeah, I'm fine." How embarrassing. Nagisa didn't even realise that he had been staring directly at him, but even now when he was snapped out of his trance, why was it that both their sets of eyes were still locked upon each other. Not to mention Karma was still slightly leaning over the table where he had clicked his fingers in his face. "You can stop staring at me now..." Nagisa croaked. What the heck was up with this sudden kind of tension?
"You can stop looking at me. You started it." The other pointed out, even seeming confused himself as to now why all of a sudden it was like they were having a staring contest. Almost like either of them could have looked away but they just wouldn't. It was a known fact that within the E-class, as the third year had gone on, he and Nagisa had grown closer with one another, especially towards the end of the year when they fought over whether to kill or save Koro Sensei. Something like that battle was what really brought them together; it closed the gap; caused them to drop all the formalities they used to use with one another. They had been close. Perhaps a little too close?
Having no idea what possessed him to do this, Karma did try leaning towards him a little closer, wondering how he would react. Nagisa didn't exactly move as much as an inch, even when the devilish man had managed to cause their faces to be a lot closer together. They hadn't seen each other in years, and now this? It just felt like his heart was beating rapidly in his chest, with his blood roaring in his ears as adrenaline coursed through him. For a second, it almost felt like they forgot they were in public, and just as Karma's lips were so close to touching his own...
"E-Eh?! W-What are you doing?" Nagisa decided to quickly bolt backwards into his seat, causing Karma to raise his eyebrows at him. His own face was just utterly burning crimson, almost like the same shade as Karma's hair. Sighing, Karma sat back properly in his own seat, not really sure what happened there either, but unlike Nagisa, he wasn't making a big deal out of it, he was surprisingly relaxed for someone who tried to kiss him two seconds prior.
"You want to go check out the E-Campus?" Karma suddenly said, seeming to completely change the subject to what had just happened. In confusion, Nagisa blinked at him, wondering why he wanted to go there all of a sudden. "Seeing as we ran into each other, we might as well go down memory lane." Karma continued, already seeming to get up out of his seat, leaving his food only half eaten. Honestly, the red head was using such an excuse just to get out of such an awkward situation that just happened. Truthfully, for a second, Karma did feel like he wanted to kiss him. He didn't know where the thought or idea really came from, but it was just going to happen.
The pair from then on walked in silence on their way to the E-Campus, probably being too embarrassed to exchange words with one another. When getting to the campus, it was pretty evident to the both of them that they needed a key to get in, once they found a padlock on the door. "Oh crap, I don't have the key." Nagisa exhaled, while Karma smirked over his shoulder towards Nagisa, already kneeling down in front of the padlock, before he revealed what looked like a hair pin.
"That's what I'm here for." Karma joked, before already going to work to get the door unlocked, and in this moment it was just like they were back to their usual selves, not thinking about the kiss that could have almost happened. At least, they pretended like they weren't thinking about it. It took a couple of moments, but eventually, the door was unlocked. "Voilá." Karma said, before standing out of the way for Nagisa and he playfully bowed. "Ladies first."
"Shut up. There's no way you could mistake me for a girl now with my short hair." Nagisa grumbled, before stepping into the school with the other then following behind. Truthfully, Karma had actually liked Nagisa's long, blue hair. Even if it did make him look a little feminine, it was a good look for him. Especially when he dressed as a girl. But he probably wouldn't be able to force Nagisa into such an outfit like that again in a million years. He probably still had that photo on his phone to be honest.
"This brings back memories..." Karma sighed, as they stepped into their old familiar classroom, and he saw his own desk, sitting at the back, which he decided to walk up to, staring over it in thought. They had a lot of memories in this classroom. Especially with that octopus teacher - Koro Sensei. Of all the times they tried to assassinate him. Of all the times he taught them something important. There were even a lot of memories where Karma and Nagisa would talk to each other from their desks. Just thinking this, Karma turned around to look at Nagisa's desk, which the other male was already standing at.
"Yeah..." Nagisa whispered, falling silent for a few seconds. "Hey, Karma?" Nagisa asked, turning around towards his friend, who gave him a small "hm?" in response to hearing his name mentioned. The teacher thought to himself, linking his hands together in front of himself nervously as he decided to talk. "Did you... Really want to kiss me earlier?" Nagisa asked. "Because it just seemed so out of nowhere. We haven't seen each other in a long time and, all of a sudden...?"
"...Yeah, I did. But again, you were the one who started it." Karma commented, with that calm straight face of his. Somehow, this irked Nagisa as his face started to go a light shade of pink once more.
"No I did not!" Nagisa argued, taking a step closer towards Karma in protest.
"Yes you did."
Another step. "No I didn't!"
"Are you sure about that?" Karma snickered.
"Yes! I am sure about that! Why all of a sudden, would I just decide to--!" Nagisa was complaining at him, standing right in front of the taller boy with his fists clenched, at least until he was interrupted. Interrupted by none other than Karma suddenly lifting his chin slightly, and pressing his own lips against his. "Mphh!?" Nagisa let out a slight confused sound, not sure of how to process what was just happening. Why was Karma kissing him?! He didn't understand! All of this was so confusing! They didn't see each other forever and now it was just like... There was this sudden realised feeling between the both of them. Like something they hadn't realised when they hung out a lot together in school.
But despite his earlier protest, Nagisa just closed his eyes, returning the kiss with his own lips, allowing them to move in rhythm with Karma's. His arms were kept stiffly at his sides, as he just wasn't sure at all what to do with them. All he did was just continue to move his lips alongside Karma's in a slow, romantic seeming dance. Karma had gone and wrapped his arms right around him, pulling him extremely close so there couldn't even be even a single atom between them. Why had they never done something like this before? Why was it only now that they were experiencing this together, when they had known each other long enough already?
"There. Now, does that answer your question as to whether I wanted to actually kiss you or not?" Karma teased once he had pulled away from the kiss, that had truthfully led the both of them a little breathless afterwards by how drawn out it had been. Nagisa blushed madly, but simply took one of his own hands, and he decided to link it with Karma's, who gladly held his hand in return.
"...I'm glad I ran into you today..." Nagisa admitted, while Karma continued to smile, knowing that he couldn't agree more. It may have taken them a freakishly long time to realise what they really thought about each other, but at least they had done it now. "We should probably go... I know we haven't been here long but I can already imagine Koro Sensei spreading gossip about this." Nagisa said. Karma laughed.
"Yep. That's Koro Sensei, right down to a T."
