"Bye Karma! See you tomorrow" Nagisa smiled as he was leaving my house
"Yeah" I smiled back

Once I saw him leave I closed the door and leaned on it, slowly sinking to the floor

'I'm such a horrible friend!'

Tomorrow was Christmas, which was also my birthday.

Every year Nagisa focused more on my birthday rather than Christmas....and I never once bothered to get him something.

I was so selfish that I totally forgot that it wasn't just my birthday, it was also Christmas.

Nagisa gets nothing.
His parents passed away
His friends are spending Christmas with their families and don't even know Nagisa has no one to gift him anything.

It's like Christmas doesn't even exist for him, only my birthday.

I looked at my hand

This year will be different
Don't worry Nagisa, I'll make tomorrow special

I picked up my phone and began making calls

The following day I woke up earlier than usual and went to check on the reservations I made

Ding

I looked down at my phone and saw a message from Nagisa

Hey Karma, Happy 18th Birthday!

I smiled but then frowned
'Snap out of it! Do something for Nagisa for once!'
I put my phone down and continued checking on everything, making sure everything was perfect

3 hours passed by and I got continuous calls from Nagisa
I ignored them all though

I was currently in the kitchen trying to cook the food.
No matter what I did it did not come out right.

I tasted the soup again.
"Salt!"
I grabbed the salt and put it in the soup.
I took a taste and it was perfect.

Just then the doorbell rang and I went to go get it.
I opened the door and saw Nagisa
"Nagisa?!"
"Hey"
"H-Hey"
"Happy Birthday Karma" he smiled
"T-Thanks"
Nagisa must have sensed my uneasiness cause he furrowed his eyebrows
"Are you ok?"
"Y-Yeah" I said closing the door alittle bit so he couldn't see inside
"Oh Right!" He yelled and began looking through his pocket
"..."
He took out a small box wrapped in beautiful wrapping paper
"It's not much, but I hope you like it"
I looked at it, debating what to do
Should I take it?
But I'm trying to do something for him!

"Karma?"
"Eh?"
"Do you not want it?"
"I-"
Before I could answer I smelled the food burning

'Oh no!'

"Go away!" I told Nagisa, slamming the door as quickly as possible so he wouldn't smell the burning food and know so something was up

I ran to the kitchen and turned the stove off
"Shit!"
The food was all burnt and I don't have time to make more

I then called to check on the restraunt reservations I made last night

They cancelled on me

"Damn!" I slammed my fist on the kitchen table

I walked to the living room and sat on the couch
At least I still have the fireworks

I picked my phone up and called Nagisa
"Hello?"
"Hey Nagisa, want to take a stroll in the park?"
"...."
"Nagisa?"
"You're not mad at me?"
"What?! Of course I'm not! I'm sorry I was harsh earlier, but I swear I didn't mean to let my anger out on you!"
"Thank goodness!"
"So...do you want to?" I asked again
"Yeah"
"I'll pick you up in 10 minutes"

Both me and Nagisa were taking a stroll in the park
"What do you want to do Karma?" He asked me
"Nothing really, let's sit down" I suggested
"Ok"
We sat down on a bench and sat in silence

"Here you go Karma"
Nagisa handed me the small box he tried giving me earlier
"..."
I hesitated, but took it

I opened it and pulled out a necklace with my initial on it
"I'm sorry it's not much, but that was all I could-"
"Why?"
"Eh?"
"Why do you only care about me!? Why can't you just be selfish for one day!?"
"But it's your birthday"
"So what! It's also Christmas! You deserve something to. This whole day I was trying to do something special for you, but nothing was going the way I planned!"
He looked down and smiled
"Thank you, but you've been giving me a gift Karma"
"Eh?"
"Letting me spend time with you on this special day"
"...."
As if on cue the fireworks lit up the sky and it began snowing
I sighed
"Merry Christmas Nagisa"
"Happy Birthday Karma"
I smiled and kissed his forehead

Bonus:
"Hey Nagisa"
Nagisa entered Karma's room
"Yes?"
"You know what day it is today right?" He smirked
Nagisa backed away, knowing where this was going
"Y-Yeah, it's you birthday"
"And it's also Christmas"
"What do you want?" He asked
Karma pulled out a Christmas dress
"Let's take a picture together" he smiled
"...."
Before Nagisa had the chance to run Karma tackled him and stripped him, changing him into the dress

"See Nagisa, it's not that bad" Karma said, holding Nagisa on his lap
"That's cause your not wearing this" Nagisa frowned
Karma only chuckled and kissed Nagisa
"Best gift ever"
"Happy Birthday Karma"
"Merry Christmas Nagisa"
