Chapter 7: Weekend Time
"NAGISA I'M GOING TO MURDER YOU AND YOUR BLOODLINE!!!"
Karma sipped on some Strawberry Milk as his wife tore through the house after a certain Blueberry. Itona yawned, walking down the stairs, jumping back just in time to avoid getting trampled by the blue and black blurs. He stared for a minute before shooting a look at Karma. "What's going on?" He asked. Karma took a long sip of his Strawberry Milk. "Hell if I know. Something petty if I had to guess." He said. Pretty soon everyone that lived in the Phantom Household was watching the Blueberry plead for his life as Shadow continued chasing him around the house at top speed. It was a miracle she hadn't caught him yet. Phoenix and Natsu sat in their father's lap, cheering (Y/N) on as she chased Nagisa with a knife. Asano was sipping on some coffee, Itona had some normal milk, Karma with his Strawberry Milk, Caramel was...drinking caramel...the cannibal, and the kids had a mix between strawberry and chocolate milk. It seemed that they may have been alternating days.
The Phantoms loved their weekends. What can I say?
After a while they managed to rescue Nagisa and now Karma and Shadow were spending some time in their room with the kids. Playing a few games and watching some cartoons. While the kids were focused on the cartoons, Karma was currently being the affectionate kitten he was. Snuggling and occasionally kissing (Y/N), which made her overly flustered. But she lightly pet Karma and kissed back, returning his affections.
Nagisa was currently practicing with Asano and Itona in the training room. Both males questioning why (Y/N) was at his throat this morning but Nagisa continued to brush it off. They trained for a while and decided to go out for lunch together since they still had a lot of catching up to do.
Caramel was taking a much deserved nap, and even Ritsu had the day off from her normal duties of finding jobs and gathering information.
All of the Phantom's familiars were playing together near (Y/N)'s summer home underground. Flare and Guardian catching up, while Nova was being chased by Fang and Amber.
All in all, it was a normal weekend. Or at least normal by Phantom standards. Which is really just "as normal as we can get being super powered hybrid humans with magical animals in our basement".
Natsu and Phoenix eventually passed out so (Y/N) and Karma carried them into their room across the hall and put the boys in their beds. (Y/N) turned off the light as they were leaving and Karma closed the door behind them. They both returned to their room and dozed a little. "Thank Demon Gods for weekends..." The female mumbled, leaning on her husband. He hugged her, nuzzling his face into her neck. "You are such a kitten." (Y/N) said, chuckling a little. "Blame Nagisa and Itona..." Karma replied, his Neko ears and tail popping out. (Y/N) just started petting him. She's grown more accustomed to showing physical affection since they got married. But physical affection made her quite flustered at times, even though sometimes it would help her relax as well. They spent their weekend cuddling and reading together.
Nagisa was slowly adjusting back into the Phantom way of life. He retained most of his knowledge of Phantom Training but he kept working hard with Asano and Itona being there to point out where he had gotten rusty at. Being chased by Shadow at top speeds in the morning was tiring but he didn't plan on letting it slow him down. Nagisa was really catching up with everyone and was happy to find his old room intact. Still better than the little apartment he had working on a teacher's salary of course.
Itona was happy Nagisa was back, as they all were. But Nagisa was one of the only people that normally respected his personal space and DIDN'T TOUCH HIS STUFF. He really didn't mind the others touching his stuff much, they were family after all. But they did it mostly to annoy him and it had a habit of working. But he was still having fun. They were a family through and through. And Shadow always had something to teach. Some things never change, and he was glad for that.
Asano enjoyed the new teaching job outside of his normal Phantom duties. Granted dealing with kids wasn't his strong suit, but he was good enough. Nagisa's class was weird, most of em looked like delinquents. But keep in mind who Asano was...and is now. He's a strong willed man with a multitude of talents under his belt. And teaching kids history is something he can do. Probably not as well as Shadow...or as Koro-sensei......but he could do it. He had all the right influences to know what a good teacher is...and what a bad one is.
Caramel...was still sleeping currently. But she's happy. Finding the Phantoms was the best thing she could've ever done. She was like Karma's younger sister in the past, and she still is now. She has a habit of treating Shadow like a sister but that was a given. She didn't share the original Phantom's bond...she wasn't in 3-E after all...but she shared a bond with Karma and Shadow, them being childhood friends. She smiles at how much they've grown since she last saw them.
....
The Phantom Family has, and always will be large. Friends are family, family is family. But no one knew how quickly the family would grow. Lets add a few more leaves to this family tree, shall we?
