{LONG SWEET MESSAGE AHEAD!}

Heyo minna! Happy new year! I just wanna thank you for this wonderful year. Thank you for being patient and kind to me. Thank you for being such understandable childs. Thank you for this wonderful year made by love with you all ♥ Gah, The first time writing this, I thought to myself, hey no one's gonna read this piece of shit, but look what I got now. Lovely readers!

I was anxious and terrified of publishing a book. Even tho, I had many. I didn't update much since no one really liked my stories. It's like building a lemonade store who no one buys in to (hue lemonade)

All of you made my year. I'm kinda late on greeting lmao but whatever. I just really want you guys to know that I love you so much! You guys mean a lot to me. Even tho, some of my chapters were really cringey and needs a lot of practices but still you encouraged me and helped me. And still read through.

This year I'm not only celebrating a year because it's the end. Its also because you guys were part of it. So thank you guys so much! I put my heart and soul for you! This year was depressing and tiring but you guys sticked with me. Even tho, some of the half people don't read this crap anymore it's understandable. But at least they also appriciate the stories I made. So that's enough to make me hapoy.

Just knowing you guys liked the hard work I made. Made the smile on my face. And that's why I won't stop trying to be a good author to you guys! ♥ Happy one year of being part of my jenny team! And happy new year! Go make 2018 worth it.

So, this is it..

Are you ready, (name)?

I'm super ready. I'm so pumped. So pumped! I punched his arm screaming yes, with stars on my eyes.

I'm actually really excited to go on the new year festival! This is my first new year with my boyfriend! I'm so excited! We'll go all out! Eat all sweets! Wait for the fireworks! Gah! Can't wait!

"Hurry! We don't have all day!" I shouted pulling him as he just looked annoyed at me. Hue, he can't be that mad, he loves me~

Once we reached the festival, my excited level went max! I interwined my hands with with as I try to pull him into different kinds of booths.

But, to my surprise, there wasn't going to be some booths today. Since, last time it was set on fire. I guess they didn't find enough tents.

So the booths here was only, mask painting and origami folding. They teach you how to do so. But, I have no other choice left, so i went with it.

On the mask painting, I was trying really hard I puffed my cheeks. But accidentally spilled the paint on my kimono. But my boyfriend just ignored me and continued his work. No matter how I whine he didn't care for me.

So I stood up and started cleaning my kimono on the bathroom. Gosh, thank you goodness it's removable on clothes. I went back to where I am at but I saw him talking with some girl.

I don't really wanna think it's flirting already. Maybe she's a friend? I went to say hi "Hey. Is she your friend?" I asked sitting down.

The girl looked at me confused but then laughed. My boyfriend laughed nervously too. "Its nice meeting you, (name). Enjoy this year while you can." She smiled and then stood up walking away.

"How'd she know my name? Wait, did you talk about me when I was gone?" I asked smiling cutely as he just nodded silently. He's a bit odd.

His work was really nice, and he paid for it to wear. We went to origami next. Omg, my excited is going up again! We reached the origami booth. And just in time! Only a few minutes left til new year! I gotta make this quick!

"Wait! Wait! Don't peek! It's a surprise!" I said turning around so he can't see my origami. It took me a while, because I had to hide a promise ring I'm giving to him!

Finished! "Hey! I'm do-" I froze eight there to see the same girl kissing him. That brought pain in my eyes. And in my heart. I unconsciously clenched my origami making the origami heart rip apart with the ring in my palm.

He then saw me, and he acted like it's all alright. How could he? My eyes starts to fill up with water. This wasn't suppose to happen, this wasn't...

"Look, I... I grew tired. You were so clingy and noisy. You were always annoying. So, why not just be apart?" He said casually looking anywhere but me. The girl has the look of like she just won.

I try not to cry in public. So I spoke with a shaky voice "I-I understand. J-Just... Go away while you can before I hurt y-you..." I said walking away with my fists clenched.

I stopped and looked back "B-By the way.... Fuck you." I raised a middle finger up and continued walking. Walking to nowhere.

I walked to a place where everybody wasn't. The back of the festival. There was a rocky table and a wooden chair, hidden behind the tree. I looked down the ring, tears dripping down.

I thought everything will be fine. Guess not what you think will be true. Expectations always loses to reality. And it hurts.

I felt something was placed on my hair. And I looked up to see karma. Karma was a classmate of mine. But I don't get why he's here. I quickly wiped my tears.

"Hey karma-kun, what brings you here?" I asked as I touch the origami flower he placed on my hair. "Well, I saw what that asshole did. And I just wanted to confront you" he said sitting beside me.

"Didn't I tell you that he's an asshole and-"

"a dickhead, I know." I finished for him as I sigh "Gosh, I like seeing you cry. But not when someone else hurt you. I must be the only one to." he said chuckling as I punch him repeatedly.

He just put an arm around me and pulled me closer to him. I allow myself to lean to him as I sniff my running nose. What more is there anyway?

"Hey, (name). Why are you so stupid?"

"WHAT? HEY!"

"You're stupid, you know? You shouldn't have let an asshole like him enter your life."

"I know...."

"But, you know. Hurting yourself makes you learn a lesson. That's what's good in it."

"mhm."

"Oh look, 10 seconds left. Hey (name)."

"Yes?"

People then started shouting from the festival.

"10!"

"I know it's cliche and all. But, you know you're stupid right?"

"Karma.."

"9!"

"What I wanted to say is.."

"8!"

"I... "

"7!"

"Well, how should I put this?" he then scratched his cheek

"6!"

"Wait, hold on..."

"5!"

"just say it!"

"Wait a bit more."

"4!"

"Oh! Right!"

"what?"

"3!"

"I..."

"2!"

"Love."

"1!"

"You!"

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

Fireworks started popping in front of us as I looked at karma surprisily as he smiled genuinely at me.

I felt as if my tummy also had fireworks, it's almost exploding. He leaned closer and closer, which made me anxious.

I started to shut my eyes tightly as I wait for something on my lips. Not long, I felt something press my forehesd. As I open my eyes to see karma kissing my forehead as I blush uncontrollably.

The fireworks inside my tummy sure is a lot. But... I felt nice. Nicer than the older. He kissed my forehead as the fireworks goes on in front of us. He started to lean back and smiled.

Guess this wasn't such a bad dat after all.

"I love you (name). Say, you didn't expect me to kiss you on the lips do you?" He teased smirking as I push him "Oh, shut up!"

"You know, I'll do that when you agree with me being with you." He said putting his forehead onto mine.

I push him and blush "Gah! Stop that!" He laughed and said "So, how about it?" I puffed my cheeks and sighed.

"Okay, fine." I said smiling. He too, returned my smile as he quickly pressed his lips onto mine I couldn't react faster.

He pulled away repeating words I always wanted to hear "I love you, (name)."

I smile and put the ring onto him "Oho~ proppsing already?" I only glared "Shut up." He grinned in response.

"A promise ring! A promise, that you'll always love me." I said smiling as he smirked "Well~ I shouldn't keep a promise but I'll try."

"Fair enough."

"Ain't you gonna say it?"

"Say what?"

"You love me back."

"Oh alright. I love you too."

"Now, this is a gift I won't forget. Happy New Year, (name)."

"Happy new year, karma ♡"
