1. Karma is a female dog
A dark figure could be seen running over the fashionable rooftops of eastern Tokyo. Another silhouette, with a weird tape-like scarf floating around them, was chasing the former. The full moon glared at the two for creating silent ruckus during the serene night.
Izuku's POV
It's been almost 2 years since that fateful day which led me to become what I am today. Society cast me aside as a quirkless reject, making me live through hell for almost 70% of my 15 year old life until now. The gruesome conditions led me to bottle up my emotions and pent up aggression for longer than needed, which ultimately proved to be good for me. I'm no longer the scared Midoriya Izuku who'd tremble at the sight of people, anticipating the worst. I'm Karma, the infamous Vigilante.
My boots tapped the rooftops but no footsteps were heard, thanks to my advanced noise cancelling boots. A marvellous weapon tried it's luck at apprehending me but failed gracefully as I dodged it's course by swaying. This is fun. I sprinted across a huge fence, looking for walls or buildings. Roads aren't exactly my thing. Closed areas give me more advantage but right now I was open to attacks. The dirtied poster of a blonde hypocrite I once fawned over didn't fail to escape my eye and I did NOT fight the obvious eye roll. All Might, the No.1 hero, my former idol. I remember the times I used to jump around with his action figure in my hands, pretending to be him. My room used to be All Might themed starting from pillowcases to walls- All red, gold and Persian blue. Now it's all black and grey with hints of white. Why? Because:
1 I've changed over the years and now anything flashy seems... bland for some reason.
2. My favourite hero is no longer All Might and I'm far more intrigued by my new idol, one that I know will always be a true hero in spirit. I've opted to go with his theme now.
Speaking of which, I am currently being chased by my new No.1. The gentleman known as Eraserhead in the pro hero world, a rare diamond in the rough. I've admired this man since I was young but as a kid, I was drawn to All Might's flashy charisma. I've had the privilege of seeing Eraserhead in action quite a few times in my All-Might-Is-My-God phase and slowly, I was drawn to the man like a moth drawn to a flame. One of the primary reasons was the fact that Eraserhead fights without his quirk and holy Kingofchimeraants! He's the most amazing fighter I've ever seen. Also, he's the reason I got into martial arts and I am proud to say that I've mastered it better than he could. But I don't blame him for slacking off. Poor guy has to deal with cocky brats with flashy quirks all day then go on a night patrol and... jeez! Does this man ever sleep? I mean, normal sleep, not the worn out caterpillar-like ensemble for a sleeping bag to take naps between classes. He looks dead tired all the time!
Once again, I was getting really REALLY distracted by my dominating fanboy side. I somehow managed to enter another part of the city and rushed into a nearby alley. Ducking by the corner, I saw Eraserhead stopping at the centre, panting with his hands on his knees. Sweat dripped from his creased forehead and he arched his neck to get some oxygen. Oh dear... I made him work extra hard today. Nevermind though, I'll get him some extra strong coffee by morning. I rolled my eyes as he started running straight, looking out for me. Wow.. his tenacity is god-tier.
Soon I realised my idiocy as I heard gunshots in a distant alley. Shit! So that's where he was heading! My hero! (no sarcasm intended) I got to the street and climbed on top of a building. Six thugs, three knocked out, one wrapped up in Eraser's scarf, one holding hostage and one aiming at him. I won't be needed under normal circumstances because Eraserhead's far more capable of dealing with groups like this but I made him participate in my little goose chase. My eyes widened in horror as the boy being held hostage forcefully escaped the hold and the thug with the gun tried to shoot him. AND ERASERHEAD YEETED HIMSELF TO SHIELD HIM!!
I saw red as crimson leaked from my idol's abdomen. Before I knew, my feet moved and the guy with the gun was knocked out. The other guy was about to take the gun that somehow slid towards him but I was quicker. He ended up getting knocked out cold as well. My eyes landed on Eraserhead who was trying to stand up but was also hissing his pain. Trust me when I say this, a bullet in the stomach hurts like a bitch. The only thing that came to my mind was secure and save. I pulled his scarf off his neck after backhanding the coiled up thug and tied them to the pole nearby. By my estimates, they would wake up about three hours later. More than enough time to get it done with. I sighed and picked Eraserhead up.
Eraserhead looked at me and hissed in pain, "K-Karma..."
"Stay silent"
I was thankful that my voice changer was on and that I was strong enough to help him up. He was losing blood quick and I had to get him to safety. My supplies are back at my base but I couldn't risk Eraser finding it. I sighed as I was left with no choice.
"Okay, I'm gonna have to get something to patch you up so don't freak out"
He looked at me with a frown, a pained frown which made me uncomfortable. I set him on the ground and stretched my hands. Sparks of pewter erupted before a dome-like shield formed around him. He looked at me with wide eyes.
"What-" the hero tried to continue before another jolt of pain hit him.
I sighed and stepped away, whispering a firm "stay"
I quickly took to my feet and ran across the city. Luckily, my lair wasn't that far and I was assured that Eraserhead would be safe for the time being because of my almost impenetrable shield. So yeah, about the shield- You see, one day I had a horrible accident, one that almost took my life but it also happened to awaken a dormant quirk inside me. Apparently, all human beings are born with quirks. While most are lucky enough for them to manifest around the ages of 4-5, some rarities like myself aren't so lucky. Quirk genetics are.. queer and intriguing. The theories are for another day.
Fortunately or fortunately (yes you read that right) my quirk is what is known as a 'quirk mutation'. Since quirk genes are passed on from generations, each with distinct ones, the gene pool expands. I happen to be a rare case of such a mutation, leading me to be equipped with not one but four quirks! I'm like All For One lol! So my quirks are:
1. Telekinesis (from my mother but stronger)- I can attract objects, people and you name it. Not only that, I can use it to create shields and barriers on myself and others as well.
2. Flamebending (I couldn't come up with a better name because it's my father's quirk and I never went to a quirk specialist)- Allows me to control fire but not generate it.
3. Healing (apparently, my paternal grandfather's)- I can heal injuries but it takes a lot of energy and most often, I faint after healing. (Concluded from self experimentation)
4. Shadow control (My great maternal grandmother's- fun fact, she was a small-time hero back when heroism wasn't this popular)- allows me to make creatures out of darkness or shadows- basically control shadows like I wish to. But it takes a toll on me causing immense headaches after use.
Right now, I couldn't risk using healing or shadow control to help Eraserhead. I did not want to faint for him to efficiently carry me away. Besides, I'm pretty sure I have unfinished business there which includes annoying the ever loving shit out of my favourite detective. I jumped into my house and grabbed some first aid. After multiple bullet and stab wounds, I learned to stock up on immediate first aid. I never ran this fast, the thought of losing my idol was too much for me. But something didn't feel right. It was one bullet to his stomach so why would he feel so much pain? It was rendering him a stuttering mess which was weird because I thought he had extremely high pain tolerance, not to mention I've seen him fight with bullet wounds before. So what was wrong now? I pushed the thought aside and picked up pace. Soon, I came to the scene where a stray dog was trying to claw on the shield which made me chuckle.
I touched the barrier and it disappeared. Eraserhead wasn't looking good to be honest but lucky for him, his no.1 admirer knows how to patch him up quickly. I laid him down slowly, wincing at the hisses that left his mouth and pulled his shirt up. Now I know why he's looking so horrible. The bullet pierced through the cotton bandage wrapped around his torso. Wound on wound, crap. I carefully unwrapped the bandage and saw a stitched up slit, probably a stab wound, which was impaled by the bullet.
"Damn it, Eraserhead. This looks bad" I muttered under my breath.
He tried to sit up but out of annoyance, I flicked his forehead causing him to frown. Rolling my eyes, I quickly removed the bullet. Luckily, it didn't hit any vital organs so I just have to disinfect the wound. And that's what I did. After administering some stitches, I wrapped fresh cotton gauze around his torso and helped him sit up. His eyes were drooping due to the blood loss and it was hard for me to stay helpless.
"Karma.... Th.... Tha- thanks" he managed to get the words out before pressing his head onto the wall behind him.
I sighed and pulled out a bottle of painkillers. I took one pill, grabbed the bottle of water and pushed the pill into his mouth before holding the bottle to him.
"Come on.. swallow"
I had to be gentle because there were chances of him choking on it but luckily, it went smooth. It should take around 5 minutes for it to start working so I made another barrier around him to take care of my business.
"Now for the thugs... who the heck are they anyway?"
I pulled Eraserhead's scarf away and tied them to a pole using my trusty rope. I took one of their phones to get information while texting the location to Tsukauchi.
Tsukauchi's POV
Another long day at the office and I'm honestly tired. Sansa was complaining about the paperwork while sipping on the piping hot coffee. The caffeine was probably the only thing that kept my sanity right now and someone who I'd very much like to call Satan, decided to rob me of it.

XXX street- 7 thugs
Eraserhead- Injured. Primary first aid administered.
My eyes widened. Not because it was another text from Karma but because one of my friends was injured. Damn it Shota! What did you get yourself into?
I shot up from my chair, grabbed my coat and rushed outside, a confused Sansa in tow.
"All available units to XXX street. Get an ambulance as well, Eraserhead is injured." I yelled out in a hurry and sped towards my own car.
Karma has been active for the past 2 years and I have never seen him. After two months of chasing him like a maniac, I handed the case over to Endeavour but turns out, he almost killed the Vigilante but failed to capture him. Knowing that the No.2 hero would not hesitate to kill Karma the next time, I had to hand the case over to my dear friend Eraserhead. Now, Shouta is an amazing hero, better than All Might in all honesty. His skill has earned him quite the reputation- no one escapes Eraserhead... but one. Karma, whoever he is, is a challenge even Shouta seems to have trouble with. The Vigilante is crazy! Like really crazy! No one can catch up with him and I guess it's because of his quirk which I have no idea about. Since his debut, the crime rate has dropped by a whopping 23%! That was no minor feat. The most was the drop of 15% due to Eraserhead being an underground hero.
We arrived at the crime scene to find seven thugs tied to the pole. I let out a sigh and instructed the officers to take them in while walking towards Shouta. He was barely conscious when the medics got him into the ambulance. I looked at the spot he was in and frowned at the pool of blood. Did Karma seriously leave an injured hero unprotected at the crime scene? I was jerked out of my thoughts when my phone buzzed

Don't worry. I've been watching over him till you arrived.
What the heck! I looked around to spot him but to no avail. Does he have a mind reading quirk or something? Buzzz
I don't have a mind reading quirk. I'm good at predicting
I threw my hands into the air with a huff. I'm tired of his games. I just want to go home and sleep but noooo! He just had to play with me. Damn it, Karma! If I ever capture you, I'll get you to pay for a lifetime of espresso. I sighed and looked around for more clues. Karma is smart enough not to leave any clues about him so that leaves me with the thugs. Great.
Izuku's POV
After Tsukauchi's team got hold of the thugs and got Eraserhead to safety, I patrolled the city one last time before heading home. It was 2:15 AM and I couldn't sleep. I put on some songs and tried to snuggle up in my bed but in vain. Eventually, the day's efforts took a toll on me and I fell asleep around 3:20.
God... what a long day (and night)
