Yay! Chapter 40!!!! XD

You continued to walk beside Asano, but you couldn't help but look around for any sign of a certain "devil".

'The hell did he go?' You thought as you walked closer to Asano.

"Gomen!" You yelled when you bumped into Asano. Your breathing grew heavy and you were grew extremely frantic.

"Hey what's up with you? Your acting strange," Asano questioned as he turned to you worriedly.

"O-Oh well. . . I just feel like we're being followed by . . . Someone," you murmured as you looked over your shoulder.

Your eyes widened as your eyes met, yet again, with golden eyes. You looked the person behind you up and down.

He had a blue coat that made him look dark and dangerous, a sadistic smirk across his face, and lastly those menacing golden eyes.

"K-K-K-K-a-a-r-m-m-a," you managed to stutter out in fear as you clung onto Asano. Asano glared daggers at Karma and put his hand into his pocket as if ready to grab a weapon.

"Heheh can't stop me with a measly knife Gakushuu," Karma chuckled evilly as a type of smog engulfed you and Asano.

"What the hell is this?!" Asano yelled through a few coughs. The smog filled your lungs, causing you to cough crazily.

"*cough*! What is *cough* this?!!" You screamed as your lungs felt as if they were on fire.

The next thing you knew. . . you blacked out.

Your eyes flickered open and searched around the room at your surroundings. You were in a dark room, with no windows, no doors, and lastly Karma standing across from you.

"K-Karma?! What did you do to Asano?!" You asked with a small growl.

Karma chuckled in response and walked over to you, the heel of his boots clicking against the floor as he walked. He approached you and bent down next to you.

"That's for me to know and for you to find out," he murmured as he smirked at you.

"Whatever," you muttered as you rolled your eyes.

He grabbed your face in his hand and forced you to look up at him. A demonic smile was spread across his face as he stroked your hair.

"You should have stayed with me  (Y/N)-chan," he growled as he caressed your cheek with a hand.

You tried to swat his hand away but your hands were handcuffed behind your back.

"Tell me where  the hell Asano is?!" You demanded as you spat in Karma's face. He stared at you blankly and wiped the spit off his face.

"That's a rude way to ask," Karma chuckled as he stood up and began to walk away. He suddenly stopped and raced towards you swiftly.

Before you could react to anything, Karma managed a kick in your stomach. You spat out blood and fell to your side.

Karma stared down at you with a grin.

"Hehe you look so weak without me right now (Y/N)-chan," he laughed as he spun on his heals and walked away.

He lifted up a few brick in the floor, revealing a secret passage or hole. After saluting to you with a wide grin, he jumped down the hole.

You huffed and searched for any sign of Asano.

Your eyes widened as you spotted Asano's pocket knife across the room. . . Next to some blood splats.

You gulped and hoped that Asano was okay.

'Where is Karma keeping Asano?!' You though angrily as you tugged at your handcuffs.

'Hmm, lemme try and pick the lock on these handcuffs' you thought as you slipped a paper clip you had left in your pocket.

Once you heard a click, your handcuffs slipped off immediately.

"That was pretty easy," you mumbled as you stood up and dusted yourself off.

You heard a creak which caused you to look up at a . . . Door?

'What the hell?! I didn't see any doors?!' You thought as you raced towards the pocket knife across the room.

Your eyes widened as your hand was almost grasping the knife, but a gun was pressed to your head.

"Hehehe saw that coming," Karma chuckled as he loaded the gun.

"How did you?" You questioned as your sweat slid down your forehead.

"Hidden cameras! Now let's bring Asano out. I wanna see the both of you suffer at the same time," he laughed as he clamped a hand around your throat.

You dropped the pocket knife and gripped Karma's hand that was around your throat. While you gasped for air two other men approached you and Karma.

One of them had Asano in handcuffs, blood splatters on his shirt.

"The hell did you do to him?!" You yelled through gritted teeth.

Karma twirled the gun around on one finger as he lowered you down to the ground, but kept his hand around your neck.

"You'll find out soon (Y/N)," he laughed as he turned to the two other men.

"Okay now bring him over here," Karma ordered the men.

The two men nodded and began to pull Asano over to you.

You tried to reach out to Asano, but Karma's hand around your throat kept you from doing so.

"Now let's have fun," Karma chuckled as he aimed the gun at your head.

Your cries caught in your throat as tears slid down your face.

"Sir! He got loose!" One of the men yelled as Asano charged at Karma.

Karma huffed and released his grip around your throat, causing you to fall to the floor.

Asano had picked up his pocket knife and was ready to fight, while Karma just stared at him.

"Oh so you wanna fight huh?" Karma asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"Well that's fine with me," he finished as he twirled the gun around in his hand and charged towards Asano with it.

The two men disappeared through the door, scared of getting hurt between the fight.

'Jeez, who knew those guys were such chickens' you thought as you laughed softly.

You watched as Asano stabbed at Karma with the knife and Karma shot at Asano with the gun.

They both kept dodging attacks which grew boring, so you decided to join in the fight.

You weakly stood up, but then regained your composure.

After dusting yourself off you signaled Asano to keep Karma focused on him. Asano nodded in reply and continued fighting against Karma.

You snuck around the fight and backed up a little bit.

You ran up to a wall of the room, jumped up, pushed against the wall, and sent a spinning kick towards Karma.

A smile spread across your face as Karma's eyes widened.

Your kick was just about to hit Karma in the head when . . .

BANG!!!!!

A bullet shot through you, causing you eyes to widen and you to spit out blood.

You fell to the floor weakly and gripped the bullet hole, trying to stop the bleeding.

Karma stared down at you with darkened eyes and a devilish smirk across his face.

Asano stared at you shocked and confused about what had just happened.

'I need to stay awake!' You thought over and over in your mind.

But . . . You blacked out . . .
