Chapter 4.
"We are here!!!!!" my mom squeals literally squeals her whole voice out with excitement and claps her hands while jumping up and down on the passenger seat, since I'm sitting behind her I have to move my feet under the seat because her excitement is going to leave my feet swollen. My eyes snap open and I groan just because she woke me up. I love seeing my mother happy, she has put on the most phenomenal makeup every women could kill to wear she has put on the most biggest and brightest smile I have ever seen in a very long time! The last time she got this excited was on her wedding day of course but that was a long time ago I curse her first marriage I hate my father! Enough thinking about him! I don't want to spoil my mother's facial expression.
"You are overexcited honey!" My father laughs with my mother what a remarkable couple. I take a quick peek outside of the moving vehicle.
The first sight I see when I rub my eyes twice in disbelief just throws me under the bus! My eyes only allow me to say one word which is...
"Whoa." With my mother looking at only one building in the block was enough to tell me that this was going to be the new shelter over our heads. After a five to six hours of driving this is the kind of results to appreciate.
The house is big much bigger than I had expected. It's modern and simple just like my life. The street has a lot of trees and colorful flowers planted in the sideways and the old benches add toppings to the nature of the street. My father parks his car in the driveway. My mother's smile really is contagious I just can not stop the grin on my face it is just not possible. We climb out of the car and stroll to the door admiring the captivating modern beauty of my new home
"Still can't believe that this is where I'm going to live!" I take a deep breath inviting the fresh breeze of this great area in Kirkland.
"I couldn't too but we earned it as a family."
"Oh yes we have and we didn't let anybody tell us otherwise!" My dads says.
"Together we win?" I ask.
"Always Dale! Always!" My father has a strange deep voice. I sure hope that none of this isn't to good to be true. Let me leave all the negatives behind.
I take my mother's hand and start to dance with her the cha-cha with her.
"Grrr.." I start cherishing the extraordinary.
"Would you two hurry up?" My father grins.
"Right behind you."
My father unlocks the front door for us. It opens we step in. The house is incredible I'm blown away it's beautiful and modern on the inside too. It's spacious. It's wonderful, absolutely stunning the mustard color couches, the dark wooden table with glass laying above it, the curtains are grey giving the livingroom a delicate look. I walk to the kitchen everything is all white, the silver hanging pots completes my mother's dream kitchen. My mother has always dreamt of one day owning her very of white kitchen that includes a white counter as well. I can tell that this room alone my father renovated just so he could give his wife her dream kitchen, what a charming someone he is. I investigate the rest of the rooms in the house with my parents. Almost everything it's brand new.
"This room will be yours Dale!" My father tells me. The first door on the right is my room, attached to it in the hallway going down is where the bathroom is. Opposite is my parent's master bedroom and at the very end of the hall on the left it's just an empty room. Might be a good room to study. "Go on open it!" He encourages. I walk right through the door and look around it's big. I even have my own study table at the corner of my room and very own closet.
"Do you love it?" My father asks. My mother looks like she only seconds away from tearing.
"Yes I like it!" I stay as cool as possible. I love this room. I have a problem of admitting the obvious.
"We'll leave you to it then!" They walk away.
"Huh!!" It came to my knowledge that every room in the house has something new except my room but that's okay with me I like it this way, but I sure would have appreciated even a small bedside lamp. I lay down on my old bed in my new home.
"Please put them over here!" I hear my father instructing Hiccup the truck driver. What an awful name! What normal parents calls their child Hiccup. Some parents we have.
Tomorrow is a big day I'm going to a brand new school which is completely out of my element but I'm more than willing to giving anything new a try. What if I don't make friends, will I be able too? It's going to be a long ass day tomorrow.
After a few hours of filling Elaine about the new house someone knocks on my bedroom door. "Come in." I instruct. The door opens and my mother stands by the door.
"Honey I just came to tell you that dinner is ready".
"I'll be out in a sec." I sigh. My mom nods and leaves.
We quietly eat dinner and we all head to bed at once after me and my mom finish washing the dishes.
---
An obnoxious buzzing sound and chirping birds wakes me up. I pop one eye open to see where the annoying noise is coming from, I follow the noise as I roll over the pillow. It happens to be coming from my headboard of course, I groan. It's time for me to wake up and get ready for my first day at Lake Washington High.
I take a quick shower and eat my breakfast. I'm excited for my first day. I kiss my mom goodbye on her cheek. I wish I hadn't done that because now she's a sobbing mess. I mouth 'I'm leaving now' to my father. I grab an apple from the bowl placed in the centre of the counter and close the front door behind me.
My school is a few miles away so I can just walk there everyday. I am beyond grateful that my parents well my mom didn't try and persuade me into riding the school bus.
I arrive at my new school and it is massive. It's big and more beautiful seeing it in person than when I did on the internet. I'm taken away by the structure. It's elegant and modern. I stand outside of the gate cherishing every detail about the school. A group of boys pass by me and laugh. The metal gate is painted in black and they are large grey walls caging it.
I walk inside the school buildings. I'm anxious my palms are sweating, keep it together Dale!
I accidentally pump into a girl carrying books, the girl's books slip from her hands and fall with a loud noise to the black and white tile floor. Fifty eyes look at me. I flush. Being the young gentleman my mother raised me to be I help her pick up the books.
"I'm so sorry...I...I just didn't see where I was going I'm sorry" I'm beyond mortified.
"It is okay really it is fine" I gather up all the courage in me and look up to the girl I pumped into seconds ago. I take note on what she said. She used 'it is' instead of 'it's'.
She is a beautiful young lady her long black is tied into a ponytail, she's wearing a black leather skirt, a white shirt and flat summer shoes. she's a stunner for a sure fact I bet every outfit she wears embrace her body. The way her brown eyes are so delicate and bright from the lighting in the hall makes my mouth turn into a smile. I must admit she has the most beautiful eyes. Her smile is infectious everyone around is staring at her. She looks like a goddamn angel.
"You are new ain't you?" I can't stop myself from staring and grinning like a child that just received a Christmas present.
"Yeah I'm new. Sorry I'm just lost. I'm looking for the reception." I manage to say.
"Okay I can show you where the reception is, follow me" I follow quietly behind her till we get to the reception.
"Thank you so much...uh." I forgot to ask her what her name was.
"Juliet but you can call me Julie. What's your name?"
"I'm Dale." She gives me a small smile then turns of her heels dismissing herself.
"It is nice meeting you Dale. I will see you around. School starts in less than five minutes and my Life Science class is at the other building, but we can meet up during break, how about that?" She asks me, what a pleasant girl she is. I think I'm starting to love Lake Washington High.
"Yes I would love that." I wave my hand goodbye to Julie. She turns on her heels and disappears in the hall, leaving me standing alone by the reception door. At least I've made one friend.
The bell rings, I lift my head high up hoping that it is break. My teacher Miss Lynn I presume she said nods clarifying my thoughts. I have been sitting in this class for four periods. I walk out and go to find my new friend Julie. I reach the lobby l'm stuck on the lobby stranded looking around school for a pretty young lady simply because I didn't ask Julie where to meet her up even if I did it's not like I'm familiar with the place.
I feel a hand on my shoulder, I slowly turn and there she is, Julie as beautiful as ever now that the sun is complimenting her complexion she looks like a golden fairy. I seriously have to stop fantasizing about things whenever I'm hitting on girls.
"Hey." she doesn't know what to say to me I can tell.
"Hey." I don't know what to say to her either.
"I assumed you'll be here!"
"Yay and you found me." We smile. She has such a captivating smile but something about that smile just feels off I can feel it right in the pit of my stomach.
"I am supposed to be meeting my friends, you can come with?" Why is she nervous?
"Lead the way madam" I smile and bow trying to lighten up the mood and that works perfectly in my favour as she gives me a radiant smile.
Julie introduces me to her friends, Clara her bestfriend, Jen, Grace, and Marvin.
"Everyone this is Dale!" She tells them at least I'm not the only boy in the group of friends.
"Hello." I say in a deep voice.
"What an enchanting voice you have there."
"Thank you Grace."
"So...Dale!! tell us a little bit about yourself?" I hate the way Grace pronounced my name. My instincts immediately tells me that she is bad news.
"We are all waiting?" Should I even tell them about my parents and that we moved from Sunnyside to Kirkland? Nop probably not.
"I'm just a cool dude. I recently moved to the city" it's true I decided not to lie. I'm still leaving my parents out of this and the reason behind our move.
"A cool dude yeah?" Grace raise her eyebrow she looks quite impressed.
At the same time I hear a soft voice say "So...how is Kirkland?" I choose to follow the soft voice. It's Juliet's voice, I look into her eyes. Looking at her is almost like listening to the morning angels sing their favorite tune. God I could stare into those honey brown eyes of hers all day.
I catch a smirk on Grace's face it is like she knows I'm hitting on her friend. Doesn't this twit have morals?
"It's awesome, I like this place." I ignore Grace's question. What I meant to say is that you made me like this place. Juliet compliments everything around and now that I may be part of her everything I might show my interest in her soon before Marvin or any other guy does. I'm new in LWH so I'll patiently wait for the perfect day.
(How was your Valentine's day? Please comment!! ++<3.)
