It was coming up to 9.30 in the morning, Rakhee sat beside her husband wishing he would wake up. She hadn't stepped out of the room since last night. The feeling of restlessness had become worse as the sun had risen.

Yesterday after everything that had happened Kareena Di had decided to speak to the Shergill's and her mother-in-law had supported this. No one had bothered asking for her opinion... not once had anyone thought of the fact that Roo was her daughter and she should get the final say. But then this is how things had been for a while hadn't they; she didn't get a say when Karan married Preeta and left her, she didn't get a say when Kareena Di decided to get Karan engaged to Mahira while still being married to Preeta, she didn't get a say when her family got Preeta and Shrishti arrested during Karan's engagement and she didn't get a say when Kareena Di chose Sherlyn for Rishabh.

Loneliness, that's what she felt... in her own house, by her own family she was being isolated, made to feel insignificant. The more she thought about it, an icy feeling began to engulf her heart, she didn't like feeling this way, this wasn't her. She looked towards her husband; she knew that if Mahesh was well everything would be okay but right now she felt very alone.

"Please Maheshji aap jaldi thik ho jaye mujhe aap ki zarurat hai, humare bacho ko iss ghar ko aap ki zarurat hai".

"Mummyji Dadi our Kareena bua aap ko bularahi hai breakfast keliye" Sherlyn interrupted. Seeing the state of her mother-in-law Sherlyn smiled in her mind. She had been damn pissed when Kareena bua had called her in the early hours of the day asking her to come home. She had almost told the old hag to shove it but then remembering in time that she was playing the role of the dutiful daughter-in-law, she'd stopped herself from saying anything. Now that she was back, she was glad she had come. Seeing the whole family so upset made her feel content.

What she still couldn't figure out was why? Why did this Akaash Shergill target Roo was it to do with Preeta? Yes target... it was too coincidental – the way in which this guy marries Roo and then dumps her in the middle of the road... but then Shergill group of industries... there could be no way that a middle class girl like Preeta could ever know Akaash Shergill, could she?

"Tell Kareena Di that I am busy looking after my husband, mujhe bhook lagegi tab mein kaloongi" Sherlyn was a bit startled by her mother-in-law's tone, but then smirked internally realising that she must be distressed about her daughter.

"Lekin Mummyji Bua ne kaha tha ke aapne kal shaamse kuch bhi nahi kahya"

Rakhee glared at her Daughter-in-law. Rakhee realised that Sherlyn would always support Kareena, always do her bidding, why wouldn't she? She was Kareena's choice right, Kareena's friends daughter... Rakhee felt a sudden resentment for her older daughter-in-law, Sherlyn would never be hers, she would never support her. Rakhee thought about Mahira the girl her son was marrying, the girl who was her 'best friends' daughter. Would Marhia support her the way Sherlyn supports Kareena? She didn't have to think hard as the answer came to her in a snap.. NO! With that thought in mind Rakhee thought of Preeta and instantly a smile lit up her face.. she knew in her heart that even after what Karan and the rest of the Luthra family had done to Preeta, she would always support Rakhee.

Seeing the smile on Rakhee's face confused Sherlyn, "Has mummyji lost it?" she thought.

"Mummyji woh breakfast"

"Tumne sunna nahi Sher..." Rakhee was cut off by screaming, Roo's screaming...
