"Maheshji!" Rakhee cried as she rushed into her room seeing Mahesh Luthra having difficulty breathing.

"DAD!" Karan and Rishabh followed close behind.

"Bhai!"

"Mahesh" quickly the rest of the family made their way into the room all panicking seeing Mahesh's condition.

"Sameer tum jaldi doctor ko phone karo!" Preeta said taking control of the situation as she tried to push past the rest of the family members that were crowding around the bed. She and the rest of the Arora's had arrived a little later as they had waited for a while debating on whether it as appropriate for them to follow the family. However, Preeta's love for her father figure had won and the rest of her family had followed her to the room once she had started for the stairs.

"Yeh tum kya kar rahi ho? Dur raho! Tumne already bohot karliya hai Papaji ke liye, aab unse dur raho!" Sherlyn snapped at Preeta attempting to use this as a means of reminding the family that Preeta was the cause of Mahesh's condition.

Ignoring her taunts Preeta turned to Rishabh

"Rishabhji, Mahesh uncle ka medicine box kahan hai?" Rishabh nodded and quickly moved to collect the box from the cupboard and handed it to Preeta who began looking at the medications it contained.

"Tumhe samaj nahi aaraha?" Kareena snapped seeing no one paying attention to Sherlyn and letting Preeta near her brother.

"Bua please!" Karan stopped her from saying anything further and turned back to Preeta who had found what she was looking for and was now in the process of administering Mahesh's medication. Within a few minutes Mahesh's breathing returned to normal but before the family could take a breath he stated to shake almost like he was fitting.

Seeing her husbands state Rakhee started to panic further but before anyone could say anything Sameer rushed in with the Doctor who forced everyone to leave the room except Rakhee who insisted on staying.

As soon as the room door closed behind the family Sherlyn who was internally smiling at Mahesh's condition grabbed Preeta's arm and jerked her around so that she was standing in the middle of the family.

"Yeh saab tumhari wajay se huwa hai! Tumhari wajay se Papaji ki halat aur kharab hogaiyi hai!"

"Yeh kya anaab shaanab baak rahi ho tum?" Karan came and pulled Sherlyn's hand off Preeta's arm. Running gentle fingers across Preeta's arm which had turned red from Sherlyn's grip his anger spiked and he turned back towards Sherlyn and took an aggressive step towards her.

"Karan! Yeh tum kya kar rahe ho?!" Kareena stepped in front of Sherlyn in a protective stance seeing the anger radiating off Karan.

"Bua..."

"No Karan! Tum iss larki ke liye Sherlyn se phirse batameeze kar rahe ho!"

"Bua Preeta meri..." but Kareena raised her palm to stop him midsentence.

"Karan iss larki ki wajai se aaj Bhai ki yeh haalat hai, isne mere Bhai ko yanike tumhare Dad ko iss haalat mein ponchaiya hai aur tum isski side le rahe ho? What's wrong with you?"

"Ha Karan mein bhi yahi kahena chaahti hoon... Aur andar bhi meine isse rokne ki kosish ki thi, isse kaha tha ke ye Papaji se dur rahe lekin issne pata nahi Papaji ko kaunsa galat injection de diya hai ke unki halat..." Sherlyn added more fuel to the fire.

"Mein tumhari thara bekar aur ghatiya nahi hoon jo kisi ki jaan lene ki kosish kare! Agar hoti toh meri Maa ko marne ki koshish karne par tumhe zinda gard deti!" Preeta glared at Sherlyn with fists clenched trying to keep her temper under control with great difficulty.

"PREETA!" Kareena moved forward to slap Preeta but before she could Karan stepped in between. His eyes spitting fire at Kareena. Kareena stepped back almost scared of the man standing in front of her.

"Galti se bhi yeh galti mat karna!" Although he didn't raise his voice the threat came across loud and clear.

"Karan yeh tu...? Kareena teri Bua hai aur tu..." Dadi began but the situation was diffused as the door to Rakhee and Mahesh's room opened and the Doctor stepped out.

"Doctor Dad?" Karan was the first to ask followed by Rishabh and then Dadi.

"Doctor Dad kaise hai? Woh theek toh hai na?"

"Please Doctor saab mere Mahesh ko theek kar dijiye

The doctor tried to speak but kept getting interrupted by the family who were anxious to know what was wrong.

"Ha Doctor iss larki ne paata nahi kaunsi galat dawai de di hai Bhai ko ke unki yeh haalat huwi hai!" Kareena said taking the opportunity to blame Preeta.

"BUA!" Karan turned back to his aunt who just didn't seem to have any sense of what to say when.

The doctor looked at Karan and then Kareena and saw that he was about to get caught in the middle of an argument and decided to step in before they could continue.

"Ji aap kaun?" he asked looking at Preeta

"Mein Dr Preeta Aro..."

"Yeh meri wife hai Dr Luthra" Karan cut her off

"I see, aur Mr Luthra ko unki medicines aap deti hai?" he questioned

"Nahi Doctor meine aaj hi aaiyi hoon aur meine paheli Mahesh uncle ko injection diya hai"

"Ha Doctor, Preeta aaj hi iss ghar mein aaiyi hai, hum abhi abhi isse welcome kar rahe the ke Girish ne hume upar bulaiya ke Dad ki tabiyat theek nahi hai" Roo explained before the doctor began blaming Preeta for something that wasn't her fault.

"Mr Luthra ko normally medicines kaun deta hai?"

"Bhabhi deti hai, I mean Mrs Rakhee Luthra" Kareena replied

"I see, aur yeh injections lata kaun..."

"Girish!" Sherlyn almost shouted before the doctor could finish his sentence. She had begun to panic that she would be caught. This whole time she had been ordering the wrong medications for Mahesh... okay so they were just vitamins and wouldn't do him any harm but they were doing nothing to help improve his condition! "Ha woh Girish Papaji ki medicines laaya hai" she said trying to calm herself as everyone turned to her.

Preeta who realised something seemed off with Sherlyn's behaviour looked at the Doctor and asked, "App yeh saab kyun pooch rahe hai?"

"Dr Luthra mujhe lagta hai ke Mr Mahesh Luthra ko jo medicines aab tak di jarahi thi woh galat thi?"

"WHAT?" "Yeh aap kya kahe rahe hai?" everyone questioned

"Mein sahi kahe raha hoon, Dr Luthra ne jo injection Mr Luthra ko diya hai woh ek naye packet se hai, jo ke sahi hai, lekin jo injection Mr Luthra ko aab tak diye gaye hai woh vitamin B12 ke hai jin se unki haalat mein koi sudhar nahi aayega."

"Lekin Doctor Bhabhi Bhai ko galat injection kyun degi? Aur Girish galat injection kyun le aiyega? Aur aapko kaise paata hai ke jo injections bhai ko diye gaiye hai woh galat the?" Kareena asked worried about what was happening in her house.

"Ms Luthra meine Mrs Rakhee Luthra se pucha tha ke Mr Luthra ko kaunse injections deye ja rahe the kyunke unho ne mujse kaha tha ke jo injection Mr Luthra ko aaj diya hai, usska naam alag sa hai. Toh maine unka medicine box check kiya jisme mujhe woh galat injection mile".

"Girish! Girish!" Karan started shouting for Girish who had gone to the kitchen to get water for the family.

Girish came running hearing Karan's calls.

"Kya huwa Sir aap ko kuch chaahiye?"

Karan was about to move closer to grab Girish by the collar to try and find out why he had bought the wrong medication when Preeta grabbed his arm stopping him where he was. Karan looked at her in anger but she just shook her head. It took a moment but Karan closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm him self while Preeta turned to Girish.

"Girish bhaiya kya aap Mahesh uncle ke injection le ke aaiye the?" she asked

"Ha Ma'am Sherlyn Ma'am busy thi, aur Rakhee Ma'am ko Sir ke injection ka box nahi mil raha tha toh Rakhee Ma'am ne Sir ki prescription mujhe di thi aur mein aaj subha medicines le ke aiya hoon.

"Kya yeh hai woh box?" Roo who had gone into her fathers room came out with the box of injections that Preeta had used.

"Ha Ma'am yeh hi hai" Girish confirmed.

"Aur yeh?" Roo showed him an old box that she had taken from Mahesh's medicine box.

"Mujhe nahi paata" he said and then looked at Sherlyn "Har baar Sherlyn Ma'am Sir ki medicines lati hai tho..."

Everyone turned to Sherlyn expecting answers,

"Mein... Mein...." She didn't know what to say and looked at Kareena hoping she would defend her but Kareena looked as angry as the rest of the family.

"Girish se galti huwi hoti toh samaaj aata hai, lekin tum to bohooooot padi likhi ho right?" Shrishti taunted "Toh tumse itni badi galti kase hogaiye? I mean Mahesh Uncle ko galat dawi..."

"Woh... Mein..."

Everyone looked at Sherlyn in disgust but not wanting to make a scene in front of the Doctor they remained silent. Sensing the mounting tension the Doctor spoke,

"Kabhi kabhi aisa hota hai ke aam logo ko sahi aur galat dawi ka fark nahi samaj aata, woh toh aacha hai ke Dr Luthra ko paata tha ke konsi dawi deni thi... Waise Mr Luthra ki tabiyat aapne aap sudhar rahi thi aur aab sahi dawi milne ki wajah se unki body mein reactions shuru ho gaye hai aur woh bohot jaldi theek bhi ho jayenge!"

"Saach Doctor?" Dadi asked "Mera Mahesh theek ho jayega?"

"Ha!" the doctor smiled.

"Thank you Doctor, Aap nahi hote toh..."

"Nahi Mr Rishabh thank you mujhe nahi Dr Luthra ko kahiye, yeh saab unhone kiya hai! Anyway, aab mein chalta hoon, agar kuch kaam ho yah koi problem ho toh mujhe call kar dijiyega"

"Sameer Doctor ko neech..."

"It's okay Mr Rishabh I'll manage" the Doctor said and then made his way to the stairs.

"Preeta Putar..." Dadi said moving closer to Preeta

"Ji Dadi"

"Putar, Thank you!"

"Yeh aap kya kar rahi hai?" Preeta said trying to stop Bani who was folding her hands in front of Preeta.

"Nahi Putar, Mere parivaar waalo ne tere saath itna galat kiya aur tu hamisha humara aacha karti hai! Jabse tu iss ghar se gaiyi thi taabse saab burra ho raha tha lekin aaj tere kadam parte hi hume itni badi khushi mili hai – Mahesh theek ho raha hai!" she continued with tears in her eyes. "Tu saach mein iss ghar ki Laxmi hai aur tere aache bhagya se iss ghar mein aab kuch galat nahi hoga!"

Bani wrapped her arms around an overwhelmed Preeta and hugged her close. Karan smiled seeing his girlfriend number one praising his babydoll. He slightly turned to Kareena who seemed annoyed and kept glaring at Sherlyn but was unable to say or do anything to stop it!
