"You can't keep disappearing for days and returning as if nothing had happened! We care about you Karl!"
Sapnap pointed a finger at him.

"Nick,we already talked about it! I can't tell you where I'm going,but it's very important,you have to trust me!"
Karl  answered.

"How could I? How could We? We are here damning ourselves,worrying if you could ever come back,and you are who knows where. I can't trust you if you don't give me a motivation..."
Sapnap yelled back.

"Don't start over again! I have already explained to you that I am not cheating on you as you are assuming. I love you two too much to hurt you,and you know it. Stop proposing to this topic"
The brunette yelled at him.

"So why do you just disappear every time you get the chance? If not for this then for which reason?!"
The raven resumed.

"I already told you I can't tell you!"
Karl yelled again.

"Then you don't give me a reason to trust you!"
Sapnap answered.

These quarrels had become normal by now. It had been a couple of weeks that Karl had started to disappear and reappear after a couple of days.

At first they didn't notice,they thought it was just a way to get away and unplug everything,after all Quackity and Nick had these moments too.
But things went to speed up when they realized that from a few hours,they had passed to days,and from days to weeks.

They were worried that something was going on,so they did nothing but argue about it. And that didn't help much.

Due to past traumas with his previous relationship,Quackity was never present at the arguments,and therefore there was not one person trying to calm them down. Sapnap was very stubborn and restless,while Karl was stubborn to keep his mouth shut. For this reason,without a means to calm the waters,they almost always ended up fighting. As now.

"You are always like this! All you do is jump to conclusions, you should give others a chance to explain themselves!"
Karl scolded him.

"I'm giving it to you now! As well as all the other times! It is you who do not want to give them to me! I'm not the problem here!"
Nick was slowly starting to lose his company had been stuck on the same subject for half an hour.

"So are you saying I'm the problem? Ah thank you very much! I thought you trusted!"
Karl shouted back.

The room temperature was starting to rise. It was as if their dispute was raising the temperature.

"And I trust you Karl,but you can't expect me not to ask for explanations!"
Sapnap was starting to be irritated,really much irritated. The reddish color her hair was taking was proof of that.

"Instead it seems that you do not trust! You and Quackity disappeared for a couple of days too,and I never gave you the third degree from what I remember"
Karl replied by pointing out the obvious.
Which caused the last straw of his companion's patience to overflow.

"But me and Quackity when we disappeared it was less than 2 fucking weeks,Karl! And we certainly gave explanations as to why we did it and where we had gone! And that's what you're not fucking doing! Fuck!"
Screamed the raven. And in that moment it all happened in slow motion under her eyes.

His hair caught fire,burning the trademark bandana he wore on his head,sending sparks across the room and scattering,igniting the wooden floor,and some electronic appliances that short-circuited exploded causing more smoke than there was already,making the room uninhabitable. But that wasn't the worst part.
Karl,who was in front of him,had been hit in the face by sparks,which had caused him severe burns,and the remaining ones had gone to burn the skin,of the bare arms,as if it were lava,making him scream from agony.

Sapnap realized that his world was shattering when he saw the brown crumble to the ground coughing and crying.

Quackity was on his way home when he saw it. He had spent most of the day running the casino,and now he was going back home hoping to find peace. What he found was all the opposite.

When he parked in front of the house, he saw his residence on fire,and Karl and Sapnap outside. The horror that struck him most was seeing Karl lying on the ground,with deep wounds,gasping and Sapnap trying to help him.

"Fucking shit.....NICK! KARL!"
He got out of the car quickly approaching the two,calling an ambulance for Karl and the fire brigade for the house.

"Karl! Karl hold on, can you hear my voice? If you hear it, nod. Successes are coming ok?"
Quackity tried to make him stay thighs.

"Hey,look at us,it's gonna be okay. Don't fall asleep,stay awake.You will be better soon"
Karl nodded slightly at Sapnap's words.

A few minutes later,the firefighters arrived and managed to put out the fire. But now their house was fine when it was gone,there was hardly anything left of it.

After the firefighters,the ambulance finally arrived,which loaded Karl with it and picked up Sapnpa and Quackity,heading towards the hospital

Once in the hospital,they carried the stretcher the brown was lying on to the operations wing,leaving his boyfriends on the verge of tears outside.

"What the fuck happened? Why did our house go up in flames and Karl is in a critical situation?!"
Quackity asked to sapnap,who was staying silent the whole time.

"Nick! Answer me!"
Quackity shook him trying to find some reaction. Nothing,Sapnap remained silent. In a guilty attitude

"Don't tell me...don't tell me you've lost control! Again?!"
Quackity took him by the shoulders.
"

Nick look at me!What the fuck did you do?"

"WE WERE FIGHTING OK?...We were fighting and I lost control...."
Sapnap explained to him half-screaming,pushing him aside badly. The dark tone of his voice made Quackity step back a little.

"I've seen this! Arguing about what?"
Quackity asked impatiently.
"About.....mhm"
Sapnap began to lower his tone,he was so much ashamed.
"For DreamXD balls Sapnap,arguing about what shit!?"
Quackity spurred him on.
"WE WERE FIGHTING ABOUT THAT HE DISAPPEARING AND COMING BACK AS IF NOTHING WAS OK?!HAPPY NOW?!"
Sapnap yelled at him. Making him wince heavily.

There were seconds of silence,in which Sapnap regretted yelling at him knowing his trauma. Quackity's face was dark.

"Again! what had we decided?! we said we would wait when he was ready to talk about it and not to force the situation! Look what you've done! Our house is gone,and Karl is literally on the verge of death!"
He aimed at him.
"And do you know whose fault it is? ONLY YOUR! IF YOU WOULD HAVE HEARD ME INSTEAD OF DOING YOURSELF,IT WOULD BE OK NOW! BUT NO!....if Karl doesn't survive I want a divorce"
Quackity accused coldly.

"Lex,Bab-"
sapnap tried to reason with him.
"Don't call me like that. If Karl doesn't survive from those burns and injuries,I want a divorce. But keep in mind that if he comes out of there whole,I am staying with you only for him,not for you. Clear?"
Quackity I summarize decisively. Thousands were stabbed to Sapnap's heart upon hearing this.

"Clear...."
"Good...."

The next few minutes were passed in silence and agony. Until a nurse came out of the room where they had taken Karl,giving them hope.

"So? How are he? How long will it take for him to recover? He need to-"
Quackity started.

"Sir,sir please...."
The nurse stopped him immediately.
"We're sorry....we did what we could.When you arrived it was already too late,we couldn't do anything..."
The nurse began.

"Are you kidding right? It is not possible"
Sapnap asked in disbelief,hoping to see his boyfriend walk out that door and tell him he was better. But that didn't happen. The words that were uttered later did not give him time to hope.

"I'm sorry for your loss....He didn't make it..."
And she left soon after,leaving them alone in their pain.

"Lex-"
Sapnap tried to get closer
"Don't touch me...you killer! I don't want you near me!"
He pushed him aside brutally, looking at him with hatred.

"It's over....within a week I want the divorce papers signed,I'll have George send them to you...I don't want to see you anymore"
He took off the wedding rings hee was wearing and dropped them to the ground,walking out of the hospital,still with tears and agony.

Sapnap watched him go,and crouched down,picking up the wedding rings.

"Why do I always screw up...Karl...Alex...I'm sorry..."
A tear ran down her face, followed by all the others.

3 weeks later,his body was found hanged from a tree,now lifeless. In his right hand,the faiths are still clasped in a gloomy memory of happiness.
