"Quackity,come here!"
Karl shouted at the ghost running after him.

"Why should I?"
The ghost responded by continuing to fly away, taking the other's detector with it.

All this under the eyes of another raven who watched the scene in exasperation. But he was used to it by now

It had been a month since their meeting, and they had become friendly towards him. After all,he didn't hurt anyone, why kick him out? The villa belonged to him,he had the right to haunt it.

They also found that they enjoyed his company. He wasn't a ghost in the commune or a bad presence. He always managed to make them laugh with some stratagem and he was hilarious funny. So they decided to became friend. As much as a ghost could be evaluated by such.

So yeah, they regarded him as a friend.

"Quackity please. It's fragile, and we need it to work"
Karl explain to the ghost.

"Alright,alright"
Quackity gave it back to him. Or rather he threw. He hadn't thought about the fact that because he was close to the ceiling of the room,it's would fall.

"Oh shit-"
He later realized.

Luckily Karl had jumped in to get it in time.
"I got it!"
"Good"

"Can you two try not to mess up whit something every 20 minutes?"
Sapnap sighed. This went on like this all day

"It's funny. And then there aren't other options"
The ghost answered at the guy.

"How about talking?"
Karl proposed.

"Talking? And about what?"
The ghost approached curious.

"Well. Of things about us for example. We've known each other for a while, but we hardly know anything about you. And you can ask us questions too. Like, about our favorite things, what we like to do,eat and stuff similar. What do you think about it?"
The ghost thought about it. He was very curious about their lives, which he was reciprocated by the other two. What harm could it do to talk about itself?

"Alright!"
The 3 friends sat on the carpet in the living room, making themselves comfortable.

"What are your questions?"
Quackity asked them.
The other two looked at each other and then came up with the question that most teased them to know.

"How did you die?"
They asked him.
Silence.
For a few minutes there was only silence. The ghost's face was grim, while Karl and Sapnap were confused.

"Why do you want to know?"
Quackity spoke after a while.

"We are curious to know how you died...maybe we can understand you more like this, and be closer"
Sapnap answered.

"but if you don't feel like talking about it then that's okay,it was also an unsuspecting question. If you want, let's move on to something else"
Karl reassured him noticing his change of mood.

"No,it's fine. I can tell you..."
Quackity took a deep breath and then began to picture itself in the story.

"I think it's been 7 or 8 years since that night....I died at 21 years old"
Quackity began to explain, getting the full attention of the other two guys.

"You see,I think it happens to everyone in life to do something wrong...for me it was marrying too fast and not having noticed anything before this mistake...."
Quackity stopped.Even though it had been a long time he still remembered everything.

Karl and Sapnap kept their questions for later, continuing to listen to him.

"That person's name was Schlatt. When we started dating, everything was fine. He was kind,he brought me flowers, gifts,he spent a lot of time with me. A normal boyfriend. Or at least that's what I was seeing....We dated for a couple of years. And two years before my death he asked me to marry him. I was really so happy when he made me the offer. I was hoping to live a fantastic life with him..."
Quackity stopped. It really hurt to remember the good times back, before he turned into a totally different person.

"Unfortunately I was wrong. The first months of our married life were normal, like any other couple...but slowly everything started to change...he started to change..."
If he were still alive,he most likely would have cried.

"He became violent, did nothing but drink and go home at unrealistic times,he was always busy and at work. Those few times he came home he was always drunk and it never ended well..."
He took a deep breath and calmed down.

"I remember that he threw various objects at me...sometimes they even caught me. And if he was really angry,he hit me"–he smiled bitterly–"Ours was no longer a healthy relationship. It had become toxic, and that was only after 5 months of marriage...this situation went on for 2 full years. Suck right?"
Quackity avoided looking at the gazes of the two boys in front of him. He didn't need to know that they too felt pity for him. Already while alive he had received too many of those looks.

"At one point I remember not having made it anymore...one day, during the winter,I tried to report him to the police. Now you will ask me why I have not done this before...because,despite our already broken marriage, I didn't want to abandon it. I loved him very much,  thought I was helping him change and being able to take this path by helping him...how stupid I was...
That day it was snowing very hard, which is why I hadn't calculated that he could go home early. When he discovered the various evidence I had accumulated,he had connected everything.I tried to escape, but he always had more strength than me"
Quackity remembered every little detail of that night. How could he not after all.

"I remember we had a fight, and he beat me harder than usual. I also remember experiencing a sharp pain in my chest before lying down and unable to move....he stabbed me with a knife from the kitchen. After which, the last thing I saw before I died was his gaze. Hard and cold. After that I closed my eyes forever...."
Quackity tilted her head back slightly. He never thought he could ever tell someone like that.

"And this is how I died..."
He finished the story. He returned his shining gaze to the other two who...were crying?

"Why are you two crying?"
He asked confused.

"I want to hug you"
Karl I try to get closer, but since the ghost was intangible it didn't succeed in its meaning.

"You have had such a difficult life...yet you have had the courage to try to rebel. You aren't stupid. You are a wonderful person who has had terrible things happened to you"
Sapnap replied, wiping the tears from his eyes.

For the first time in a long time,Quackity was not having a look of pity. It wasn't the first time he'd told someone about his life as a couple. When he was still alive he had told it to some of his close friends, but in their eyes they felt only pity for him.
Karl and Sapnap were different. They weren't commiserating, but comfort him.

"It's not your fault. You couldn't have known it would turn out like this. You tried your best, even if you didn't succeed, you must be proud of it"
Karl said.

"Thank you..."
For the first time in a long time, he was happy to have lifted a weight from his chest.

"but let's stop talking about me. I want to know about you,how did you become ghost hunters?"

"Well, it's a very long story"
Sapnap said.

"We have all the time in the world"
Quackity prompted him curious

"Ok then let's star from the beginning......"
Sapnpa immersed himself in the story. Karl sometimes intervened by specifying certain situations better and recounting those in which he had not taken part.

Despite the initial sadness, the afternoon began to flow quietly between the 3 friends,in the haunted villa.
