"Why did I have to forget my umbrella today?" Whined Kelsey as she put her orange jacket over her head to shelter from the pouring rain. She sighed and looked up to the dark grey sky. "I'm never gonna get home like this..."

Suddenly a familiar green-haired girl appeared behind her. "Boo!" The girl whispered into her ear.
Surprised but not scared, Kelsey turned to see her friend, April smiling at her. "Oh April! You're still here? I thought you went home."
"Nah, I stayed behind to help prepare for the soccer match next week." April chuckled as she opened her umbrella.
Kelsey smiled. "Seems like something you'd do."

April smiled back. "Let's walk home together."
"I'm waiting till the rain stops, I forgot my umbrella." Kelsey looked away a bit embarrassed.
April blushed. "We could....share mine if you want."
"Is it big enough?" The red haired girl looked at her friend.
April walked towards Kelsey and put the umbrella over her head. "It is if we squeeze up together."

The two girls started walking home together with their arms intertwined. Since April was taller, she held the umbrella. Kelsey noticed that a bit of April's left shoulder was wet. "Hey you could of told me to move across...your shoulder is wet."
April nervously laughed. "It's only a bit of water, it can't hurt me."
"Still.." Kelsey pouted.

The rest of the walk, they talked about random things until they reached April's house.
"You can take my umbrella if you want." April said as she stepped up to her household front door.
"Won't you need it tomorrow?" Kelsey asked.
"Nah, we have a lot of umbrellas." April giggled.

Kelsey took the umbrella and blushed. "Well uh...thanks I guess."

They said their goodbyes and Kelsey couldn't help but think that they were acting like little kids. "Umbrella sharing is for amateurs....jeez."
