April didn't like the mornings. She always had to get up at 7 every morning and be at work by 9. That meant leaving her cozy bed and sleepy wife behind. Rinse, wash and repeat. This morning was especially hard as it was a cold, wintery day and she was so snuggled into the covers and her wife, Kelsey, was cuddled into her chest and sound asleep.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

April groaned. Stupid alarm she thought.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

Sighing, April pressed the snooze button and wrapped her arms around Kelsey. She was so warm...like 50 blankets on top of you. I'll just call in sick, or say Kelsey is dead and I need to plan her funeral...who needs work when you have a beautiful wife to spend time with.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

April ignored the alarm this time, instead cuddling deeper into Kelsey. A good 5 minutes passed of just the alarm going off. "Mmm...Snowcone..." April opened her eyes and looked at Kelsey, who was still half asleep. "You gotta get up..." Kelsey mumbled.
April giggled softly and tucked some of Kelsey's red hair behind her ear. "I know." Kelsey lightly kissed April's lips and fell back asleep. You're not gonna remember this when you wake up,  April thought to herself.

Slowly she got out of bed and wrapped the blankets extra tight around her wife and went to work feeling a little happier that day.
