Tentacool Line

I hope you're all ready for a cool chapter... it's Tentacool!

I love jellyfish in real life, so of course I'm at least a little fond of this Pokémon evolutionary chain. So instead of wasting time, let's just dive right in!

Type Factor:

The type combination on this Pokémon isn't too bad! Tentacool and Tentacruel are both water and poison hybrids, so they are weak to ground, electric, and psychic moves, but their own moves hold advantages over fire, ground, rock, and grass types. Overall, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, so I'd say this line is in pretty good shape!

Design Factor:

I think the color palette for this evolutionary line is an interesting one. The colors almost seem to clash, but in a kinda neat way. It's almost like it is warning to stay away, which makes sense, since it's technically a toxic predator of the ocean!

Lore Factor:

The Pokédex information states that Tentacruel has 80 tentacles, which is an insane amount! These tentacles can deal a lot of damage, too, and can be dangerous against opponents. The lore makes sense, but it's not all that interesting, in my opinion. But it's still a good Pokédex entry, so I'd say it's solid!

Stats Factor:

The strongest stat for this Pokémon is special defense, followed closely by its speed. The lowest is the defense. Pretty straightforward!

Evolutionary Factor:

I'm not crazy about this evolutionary line, but I think it's decent enough. I don't know what it is, but the line as a whole seems somewhat bland to me. It feels as though something more is needed to spice it up.

Conclusion:

Overall, this Pokémon is a good choice for anyone looking for a classic yet underused Pokémon to add to their team. It has some strong points and some weak points, so pay close attention to them so you can use this guy to its fullest potential!
