Blink and you'll miss it! It's the famous teleporter, Abra!

This Pokémon line has always fascinated me, so I'm glad that we've finally reached this chapter. Gosh, the hours I've spent trying to catch Abra before it teleported away...

Type Factor:

This entire evolutionary line is strictly psychic, so that makes evaluating its type advantages and disadvantages fairly easy.

For strengths, Abra has the upper hand against fighting and poison types. However, Abra definitely needs to watch out for bug, ghost, and dark types. That means that Abra has more natural weaknesses than strengths. Yikes!

Design Factor:

I think this Pokémon's design is spectacular. The golden fur is very unique and contrasts Kadabra's red spots well, and its image exudes intelligence and wisdom. I find the design to be fitting and really likeable!

Lore Factor:

This evolutionary line's lore speaks of great power yet great horror. Upon a full evolution to Alakazam, this Pokémon is known to be remarkably intelligent. It never forgets anything due to its brain cells multiplying until the day it dies.

This, however, comes with an unfortunate side effect. Alakazam's brain grows so horrifyingly large that it can no longer support its own head, and it relies entirely on its psychic power to keep its head up. Yikes! That's definitely not something I would want!

Stats Factor: 

Alakazam is pretty interesting when looking at base stats. This Pokémon has a staggeringly strong special attack base stat, but HP, attack, and defense are lamentably low.

For reference, Alazakam's base special attack is at 135 while the base defense (the lowest stat) is 45. That's quite a difference!

Evolutionary Factor:

This evolutionary line is incredible, in my opinion! Each evolutionary stage is fascinating, a perfect blend of different yet similar.

Not to mention, each Pokémon is very interesting in its own right. Overall, a top tier Pokémon line!

Conclusion:

So, in sum, this Pokémon might not have the best type factor, but it has plenty of other benefits. In fact, I think this Pokémon may be one of my favorite psychic types!
