I groaned as I walked around the snow filled streets of Tokyo.I pulled my scarf up more towards my face so I wouldn't catch a cold-I probably would either way-and rubbed my gloved hands together to warm them up a little more.

I tried to think back to why I was in this situation in the first place,and only one thing came to mind.

~flashback~
"What do you mean you can't pick me up!?!it's freezing out here!!!"I shouted into the phone to my violet haired friend."I'm sorry Y/N but I just can't,I have an extra shift here at anteiku and yoshimura won't let me leave"I scowled "why do you have an extra shift!?"she sighed.

"you know why.you're not here,Roma isn't,and...well Kaneki isn't either...obviously"I breathed out a sigh through my nose and rubbed my temples in frustration "fine.but you owe me one for this."I heard her laugh on the other end "alright,alright I owe you"I smiled "see you tomorrow touka,goodnight"I could tell she smiled "goodnight Y/N".

With that she hung up.

~end of flashback~

I gritted me teeth together in the cold weather,trying to pull my coat closer to my body."might as well take the bus since my house is half across town"I then started towards the bus stop until a voice from behind me caused me to cease in my walking.

"My house is closer,you're welcome to come over"

I nearly jumped out of my skin as I turned towards the person,ready to pull out my pocket knife and attack the douche bag who spooped me.

However,when I looked at the person my jaw nearly fell on the floor.

"K-Kaneki...?"

He smiled slightly and looked at me in concern "you look like you're freezing.c'mon let's head back to my apartment"he took a light hold of my forearm and pulled me with him to his apartment.

When we got there he took off mine and his coat and took off his shoes.i looked around and found it to be exactly the same as the last time I was here before he left."make yourself at home,I'll get coffee started while you try to warm yourself up a bit.I'll explain everything later"he went into his kitchen and started making two cups of coffee.

I took a seat on the couch and rubbed my hands up and down my arms as my eyes traveled around the place.a few minutes later Kaneki appeared beside me while handing me a cup.i took it and let out a quiet "thank you".

"Why were you out there in the cold like that?you barely had any warm clothes on"he asked as I took a sip of the bitter but warm liquid "I had gone to the 24'th ward to pick up a few things and I hadn't brought a car.and since I was to lazy to walk I called touka to see if she could pick me up but she had called me and said she had an extra shift at anteiku so...here we are".

Kaneki frowned "I'm sorry..." I looked at him in confusion "what do you mean 'sorry'?you don't have anything to be sorry for-"he looked down in sorrow "but I do.i abandoned you and everyone else for my own selfish reasons.i have no excuse other than wanting to protect all of you from getting hurt"

He looked like he was on the verge of tears.i smiled and placed a hand on his back "I don't blame you for anything Kaneki,and I certainly don't think that what you did was selfish"he looked up at me with a look in his eyes that I couldn't really read.suddenly his arms were wrapped around me and his head was laying on my shoulder.i blushed slightly and tensed up,but relaxed and hugged him back

My fingers played with the ends of his soft snow-white hair as he relaxed against me.soon after a few minutes his breathing steadied and his body fell limp with sleep.i smiled and kissed the side of his head then set him on the couch to rest.

I went to his bedroom and got the blanket off his bed and got a pillow and went back into the living room and covered him up with the blanket,then put the pillow under his head.i moved his hair out of his face and kissed his forehead before walking to the door and leaving,not before putting on a jacket and leaving a note of course.

A/N:so I hoped you guys enjoyed this and I know the last few bits weren't that good but it's like 5 AM where I am and I'm super tired and remember requests are still open!.anyway see you guys in the next oneshot!bye my little pups!
