I wanted to make a really fluffy and cute oneshot and I haven't written for this sweet boy in a long time so here ya go!

'wow...look at her...so pretty...if only I could-'

"First class Sasaki, are you even listening to this meeting?" Haise snapped out of his daze and shot his gray eyes up, looking at investigator Ui, who had a stern look on his face.

"Of course, sir! I apologise, I'm a bit out of my game today" he laughed nervously, scratching his cheek with a sheepish smile.

"Try not to do it again, we need to find out where Nutcracker is striking next." The man turned back to the bored, a serious tone in his voice.

Shirazu leaned over towards Haise "Hey Mr. Sass, you ok?" Haise sent him a smile "I'm ok Shirazu, just a bit tired" Shirazu nodded "If you're sure".

The meeting ended, and everyone went their respective ways. As Haise was walking with the Quinxes back home, he heard the voice of a familiar female.

"Haise, may I speak to you for a quick moment?" The bi-color haired male turned around and spotted his mentor, Akira Mado.

He turned to the others "go on ahead, I'll catch up" he smiled and they all nodded, walking off.

Akira approached him "Haise, what happened in that meeting? you were completely spaced out" her eyes held slight concern, but Haise just smiled.

"Nothing important, I just didn't get much sleep last night" Haise brought his hand up and lightly touched his chin. Akira pursed her lips together "I know when you're lying Haise, tell me the truth" Haise sighed.

"Ok...um...there's this uh...I have a...there's a...person..." He shifted uncomfortably, shoving his hands into the pockets of his coat.

Akira raised a brow "a...person? Haise do you like someone?" His cheeks flared up red and he used his hand to cover his face. "No..." His voice was muffled.

The blonde smirked, taking Haise's hand off of his face "were they in the meeting? Is that why you were distracted?" She teased. Haise pouted "maybe..." Akira smiled "that's completely fine Haise, it's normal to like someone, but please don't let it get in the way of this mission".

With cheeks still red, Haise held a determined expression "of course, I won't let you down!" He bowed to the woman. "I'll see you later Akira-!"

"Sasaki!" A voice chirped.

Haise froze mid sentence, his body going stiff as his pale face started to turn even more red. He quickly turned around "Investigator L/N! Nice to see you!"

The girl in front of him smiled. "I wanted to see if you were ok, I heard about your fight with Orochi awhile back" Haise smiled "I'm ok, like you said it happened awhile ago" his hands fidgeted behind his back.

"Anyway! Do you think I could come over later today? I have something for Yonebayashi that I think she'd like" Haise nodded "of course you can come over!" Y/N smiled and bowed "then I'll see you later!" She walked away, a slight skip in her step.

Haise let out a breath that he didn't know he was holding, and he heard a light chuckling from behind him.

He immediately turned around "I didn't know you were still here..." He said to Akira. She smiled and gave him a knowing look "Y/N L/N, huh? I'll admit she's cute, but I thought you had a thing for the waitress at that coffee shop" Haise scratched the back of his neck "I-I mean sh-she's pretty...".

Akira placed a hand on his shoulder "well, don't you have a house to get to? You do have a guest coming" Haise nodded and bowed once again,. Giving the blonde another smile "yes ma'am!" Akira turned away "good luck Haise!"

Hours later Haise is at home working his ass off in the kitchen "Ok everyone, we need to make everything perfect! We're having a guest over tonight and I want her to be impressed!" Haise yelled at the Quinxes over the sound of extreme cooking.

"Maman, don't you think you're over reacting a bit?" Saiko walked into the kitchen, looking at him questioningly. All Haise did was continue cooking "of course not! I think this is totally acceptable!".

Mutsuki, Shirazu, and Saiko all shared a concerned look, why was their teacher acting so weird?

As Haise was setting the table with all kinds of foods, there was a knock at the front door. Haise instantly perked up, rushing to open the it. "Miss L/N! Glad you could make it! I made dinner! I wasn't sure what you liked so I made a bit of everything" he laughed sheepishly but his smile instantly dropped "unless you've already eaten, if you have I'm so sorry!" Y/N just smiled "it's ok Sasaki, I haven't eaten, and how many times do I have to say that you can call me Y/N?".

His cheeks turned slightly red "sorry..." She just laughed "it's ok, I'm just teasing. Can I come in?" Haise nodded "right, of course!" He stepped aside, allowing her space to walk in.

Both of them walked into the living room and dining room area, seeing all the Quinxes at the table, minus Urie who was out on a run.

Saiko perked up "L/N!" Y/N gasped "Yonebayashi!" The two girls hugged eachother, Saiko going to Y/N's nose due to her short height.

Y/N patted Saiko's head "I brought you something, I don't really use it anymore so I thought I'd give it to you" Saiko pulled away from the older woman and looked at her, tilting her head to the side.

Y/N pulled her bag off of her shoulder and dug through it, pulling out a thin case. Looking at the the cover, Saiko's whole face lit up and she squealed "ahhhh!!!! Awesome, thanks so much!!!" Saiko jumped around the chateau, her large blue pigtails bouncing around with her.

"Sorry I didn't get you guys anything" Y/N said and she looked at Mutsuki and Shirazu. "That's fine" Mutsuki said, and just smiled. Shirazu just shrugged "it's cool" he said.

As everyone seated for dinner, Haise stood off to the side since he couldn't eat the food he made.

As everyone was eating, his gaze lingered to Y/N. God she was so beautiful. If only he actually had the confidence to tell her of his feelings.

He watched as she laughed with the others, god her smile was beautiful, it made him melt just looking at it.

Haise's head held a dull ache. He rubbed his temples to relieve some of the pain but that only made it worse. He softly grunted and held his head, leaning against the kitchen counter.

"Mr. Sass, are you ok?" He heard Shirazu call out. Haise nodded "mhm...just a sudden headache..." Haise clenched his teeth and pursed his lips.

"You're weak Haise."

Haise grunted and stood up straight, his whole body tense "excuse me." He left the room and headed to the bathroom, closing the door and locking it.

He leaned against against the sink, the pain in his head was excruciating now

"You really think she's going to like you of all people? Look at you, Haise. You're pathetic."

"I'm not..."

Why was this voice antagonizing him all of a sudden? What did he do? All he did was look at a girl he likes.

Wait a minute...

'is Y/N...someone from my past? Is that why...why she took a sudden interest in me? Or am I over thinking this?'

There was a sudden knock on the bathroom door.

"Sasaki? You ok?"

Oh God...

Haise opened the door fast, causing Y/N to stumble back in surprise.

"Yes, I'm fine! I took some medication so my headache is gone now!" Haise didn't want to worry her, that's the last thing he wanted to do.

"Oh um, well I need to be heading back now. I have a shit tone of paper work to do and only twenty four hours to do them so...-" Y/N turned to leave.

'do it now, you idiot!'

Haise grabbed her wrist, gently pulling her back "u-um...I need to ask you s-something before you go..." She tilted her head to the side "what is it?"

'god dammit, that was cute!'

"Would you...would you like to get coffee with me some time? You don't have to, I just...I really like you, alot actually and..."

Y/N smiled at him "of course I'll get coffee with you, Sasa- Haise".

Haise's smile was wide as his cheeks turned red "well since you're going, I can finally say this now" he cleared his throat "I like you...a Latte".

Y/N held a blank stare "did you just...".

"Yes. It's a coping mechanism, I'm so sorry".

Y/N let out a chuckle "no, it's ok. I thought it was funny!" Her cheeks turned pink before she leaned up and pressed a light kiss to his jaw, seeing as she was slightly shorter than him.

Haise's whole face turned as red a cherry after that.

"Bye Haise! I'll see you tomorrow!" With that, she left.

Haise gently brushed his fingers where she had kissed him and smiled, feeling butterflies in his stomach.

"Wow..."
