Kaneki looked really bad these days.His eyes were forming dark purple circles and his face was far more pale than usual.His hands were shaking and he was really cold.

Even the warm house were he lived with his lovely girlfriend, (Y/N) (Y/L/N) , was too cold for him.But he didn't say anything.

He couldn't live like this.He had to do something.Everynight he stayed awake to protect her and take care of her.His body was exausted and he was hungry.

"Kaneki, go to bed..."Ken suddenly felt arms around his thin waist and a pair of cold lips on his head.

"I have to stay awake, you'll never know when those monsters will come to kill you."Kaneki said and took one hand off his waist and kissed the back of it.

"I'm serious, did you even sleep last night?"You asked him.

"I'll sleep when i'm dead, not now.Go back to bed."His answer made you angry so you caught the front of his shirt and dragged him to bed.At least he helped with walking a bit.

"What-what are you d-doing?I have to get back.I have to help you.Remember when they attacked?I don't want that to happed again 'cause i love you-"

"I love you too Kaneki!"You cut him and pushed him on your bed.

"If you don't sleep, then you won't be really helpful you know..."You cuddled up to him and covered the both of you with a fluffy blanket.

"I'i can't s-sleep now, i-i'm scared..."Kaneki pouted and nuzzled his head on your cheek.

"It's okey Kaneki, everyone is scared of something and i know how you think about them."You said and kissed his soft and cold lips.

"Can we stay awake tonight?I-i d-don't think i c-can go back to sleep."

"Of course we can, love!"You smiled and went on with a conversation about his day at work.

Time skip:

The next morning you were sleepy but it was Sunday and that meant more time to spend with your boyfriend and make him finally eat something.Unless if something happens aanndddd...

"Kaneki-kun, open the door!I want to see how my meilleur ami (=best friend) is doing."

Yep, freaking Tsukiyama is back.
