It was a normal spring day in the Saskamaki mansion . Raiji doing his experiments shu sleeping on the sofa listening to music . Laito and Ayato trying to catch yui and Subaru in the rose garden . Everyone was doing something in the mansion all except Kanato . " ne teddy everyone is doing something but no one is paying attention to us right teddy . " Kanato was in his room taking with teddy but it was getting pretty boring . " ne teddy why don't we go outside for a walk ok ? "

( time skip outside kanato's pov )

I was outside waking with teddy by the park and sat on a bench . " ne teddy there doesn't seem to be anybody around to day . I wonder why ? " soon I decided to get up and walk some more with teddy . But when I started walking I saw son thing in the bushes . " what's that ? " I moved the bushed out the way and found was a very odd looking ball

It was light purple with dark purple rings on it . " well teddy that is one strange looking ball right teddy ? " I got a little closer to it . Then after I took another step it wiggled and made a crack noise . I bent down to take a closer look then POP! The top came right off and I feel backwards with teddy out of the bushes . " W-what was t-that teddy ? " slowly I got up and moved closer to the bushes . Then I her what it seemed to be a small animal cry and that's when I saw it . It looked like small purple bat with golden eyes . It was so small but not the size of a normal bat . Soon it jumped into the air and flapped its wings but fell then it started to cry very very loudly .

" EEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!! EEEEEEEKKKKKKKK!!!!!! " I had to cover my ears because of its crying " geez I never new that thing was this loud man !! " a tick mark appeared on my head and shouted for it to stop after I shouted at it . It settled down and walked to me with very sad and longing eyes .

" what ? What do you want ? " " eek ...." I started to walk away but it followed me " STOP FOLLOWING ME!!!!!! "
It fell backwards and was about to cry again . And I really didn't want that again but it seems that I don't have a choice . And took it home .

( time skip at the mansion )

I teleported to the kitchen so nobody would see me with a sleeping bat on my head . " ne teddy it seems to have fallen asleep . But what should we do with it now that I brought it home ? " "eck ...? " " oh sorry did I wake you ? " I put it down on the table by the fruit . I also had to hid it from my brothers " ne teddy do you think we should keep it as a pet for us to play with ? " I also had to decode on a name for it to " ne little bat would you mind if I called you echo . Because when you cry you make a sound like an echo . " " eck ! eck ! " it jumped up and down for joy and hoped into my arms and nuzzled its small head into my chest . " well echo it is then . " it hugged me like a child would do to its father or mother . " don't worry i will take care of you . And I will make sure nothing bad happens to you . "
