Kanan's pov

"Do you like it?" I ask Ezra.

"Yeah it's pretty cool." He says looking at the speeder.

Earlier in the morning, I went on a supply run and found this speeder. It has good speed but no design yet.

Sabine would probably fix that.

"Who's speeder is this?" Ezra asks me.

"I don't know. It didn't look like anyone owned it." I say.

It was a little strange that a speeder like this would just be at that town unattended. But it will be good for us when we have missions.

"Where do we put it?" He asks.

I shrug. "Let's just leave it out here till I tell Hera."

We definitely can't put this in the ghost, so I'm going to contact Hera on where we could put it.

"You know what, I'm going back into the ghost to contact Hera. Do you mind watching it till I get back?" I ask him.

"Oh I wouldn't mind......" Ezra says with a smirk.

"Don't even think about driving it." I say.

He sighs and sits on the speeder. "Fine."

I then go into the ghost and contact Hera.

I wait for Caleb to go inside the ship and leave his padawan.

When he is gone, I sprint to the speeder with the now confused child on it.

I drop something on the ground and start the engines.

"What the...." The kid says.

"Hold on tight!!!" I shout with a laugh.

"WAIT WHA-"

I then drive away with the padawan still on, shouting at me to stop.

Kanan's pov

Hera told me to hide the speeder by the hills because we have no room in the ghost.

She seemed ok with the speeder which is a good sign. But she was worried on who it belongs to.

At least she let us keep it.

Everyone besides Ezra and I are at a mission. It's too bad they couldn't see the speeder.

When I was on the ramp, my eyes widen.

Both the speeder and Ezra are gone.

"No....." I say and run outside. "No no no no no no no force no!!!"

I looked around and didn't see Ezra anywhere. I could see the speeder marks on the ground. But they aren't that clear to see where he went.

He probably drove the speeder without telling me. I grab my com and call Ezra.

"Ezra?!?" I shout angrily. I told him not to drive it!!!

Suddenly, I heard my voice from behind me. I turn around to see Ezra's com on the ground.

Great, he dropped it.

But what confused me was that there was a piece of paper on the ground too.

I picked it up and gasped at what I read.

If the master of the padawan is reading this, then you shouldn't be concerned about the blue haired kid because you will never see him again.

I am now panicking. Ezra didn't drive away, he was kidnapped!!!!

Ezra's pov

"Who are you?!?" I shout at the stranger who just hijacked me.

"Relax kid. My name is Edward and I'm just playing a trick on your master." He says while stopping the speeder.

"Wait.....what?" I say confused.

"I used to be friends with your master Caleb who is now named Kanan right?" Edward asks.

"Uhhh.....yeah." I say.

"Well we used to be pranksters. The last prank he did was on me. Kanan made me think my padawan got kidnapped." He says.

Wow......and I thought my pranks were extreme........

"So now I am 'kidnapping' you for revenge." He says.

"Isn't revenge not the Jedi way?" I ask.

"Not when it involves pranks." Edward says with a smile.

He has a point....

"You could've told me beforehand. I was this close to jumping off." I say.

"That wouldn't have been good." He says while laughing. "We have been gone for awhile, so we should go back before your master really freaks out."

"He probably thinks I disobeyed him and drove away. So your prank might not have worked." I say.

"He will definitely think you were kidnapped when he reads that note I dropped." Edward says starting the engines again.

"Wait you wrote a note?" I ask.

"Yep, saying he will never see you again." He says.

I then unexpectedly high five him. It was a smart prank. I should take my pranks on Kanan more extreme like him.

Kanan's pov

I'm in the ghost trying to hold my tears.

Someone took Ezra!!! He's gone!!! I will never see him again!!!

No, I will see him again. I will find him.

I was about to contact Hera again, till I heard the door open.

I turn around hoping to see Ezra, but instead see.....Edward?

"Edward? Is that you?" I ask.

"Yep it's me. That prank you last pulled on me was really funny." He says while grinning.

"What do you-" That's when I realize what is going on.

"Edward!!! Are you serious?!?! Where's my padawan?!?" I shout.

He laughs. "Finally got revenge!!!!"

"Ok fine!!! You got revenge, just give me back Ezra." I say.

As if on cue, Ezra walks in. I immediately pull him into a hug.

"Thank the force.....thank the force...." I repeat while holding Ezra.

He didn't reject the hug. Either way I wouldn't let him go.

"Now you know how I felt when you kidnapped my padawan." Edward says.

"Mine wasn't this bad!!!" I yell with Ezra still in my arms.

"Oh really? You left one of his shoes on the floor with a blood stain." Edward says.

"A blood stain? You never told me about that." Ezra says trying to get out of my tight grip.

"Because I didn't want you to become obsessed with pranks like I was." I say finally letting go of him.

"I still am. But not that extreme. I should do pranks like that." Ezra says.

"No way." I say. "But really Edward, you had to write that note?"

"You would've thought he just went for a spin. My speeder is every teen's dream." He says.

Wait a minute.....

"That was your speeder?" Ezra and I say at the same time.

"Yeah I wanted you to take it so I could take your padawan with it. I also needed to know your location to do so." Edward says.

"Wow I need to upgrade my pranking skills." Ezra says.

"Well can we still keep the speeder?" I ask.

"No."

"Awww."  Ezra and I say, disappointed.

"Gotta go bye!!!" Edward says while leaving.

"Bye!!!" Ezra says waving at him.

"Really Ezra?" I ask.

"What?" He says. "He makes good pranks."

"I'm just glad you're here and not kidnapped." I say and pull him into another hug.

He hugs me back. "Me too dad."

My eyes widen. "Ezra....did you just say dad?"

"What? No!! I said Kanan.....yeah I said that." Ezra says and breaks out of the hug.

I was shocked he called me dad. But I am happy that he thinks of me like that. Even if he pretended he didn't say it. He was probably embarrassed.

"Let's get some rest. I'm exhausted from that prank." I say.

"Don't worry, you'll get used to pranks." Ezra says.

"What?" I say.

"What?" He repeats.

I sigh. "I'm now even more tired."

Ezra laughs. "Yeah me too."

He then starts to walk out of the room.

"Goodnight son." I say with a smile. That makes him stop by the door in surprise.

Even though I only see the back of him, I could still see him smiling.

"Goodnight dad." He then walks out of the room and I could feel his happy waves through our bond.

Ezra and I have one strong bond.........
