Camera footage

Ralph was in bed with Ezra. He was kissing him on the lips and neck. Ezra was pleading for him to stop with tears streaming down his face.

He only continued but worse.

Ralph started to passionately kiss him with his tongue. After that, Ezra passed out.

But Ralph didn't stop. He then started to unbutton Ezra's shirt and----

Kanan's pov

I immediately turned off the camera, mortified of what I just saw. I can't see anymore of that. My son being forced to do that, is too unbearable to watch. I had to stop it there.

My jaw dropped the second I started that footage. How could anyone do that to a kid? How could someone I thought was my friend do this to MY KID?!?!?!

And to think, I was here sleeping while all of this was happening. I was away for a month and left Ezra with a monster.

I'm going to kill him. Ralph is dead. When I see him again, let's just say my saber will be through him.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard the door open.

Ralph entered the room.

The second I saw him I immediately glared at him and tried my hardest not to punch him......yet.

"Hey Kanan what are you doing?" He asks.

"Just.....just watching some security footage." I say trying to not shout at him.

"There's security footage?" He asks looking nervous.

Oh he should be nervous.......

"Yeah but only in Ezra's room." I say.

Ralph's eyes widen. "Did you....watch it yet?"

"Yes I did......and let me tell you something......" I say getting up.

Not being able to hold my fist any longer, I punch him right in the jaw sending him to the ground.

"HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO EZRA?!?!?!?" I scream at him. I completely lost it. My anger level risen to the point where I could kill someone.

That someone is Ralph.

Ralph was laying on the floor with a bloody mouth. That's what he deserves, but he deserves more than that.

"Padawans always need to be disciplined. That's my way of disciplining. You should be thanking me." He says.

I punch him in the stomach. Ralph growls in pain.

"Thank you?!?!?! If anything I should kill you!!!!!" I shout. "You caused so much pain and depression to Ezra!!"

"Why do you care? He's just a padawan." Ralph says.

I got so insulted, I started to force choke him.

"He's not a padawan, he's MY padawan!!!! But even more than that!!! Ezra is my son!!!! I will always care for him!!!!!" I shout.

Ralph was gasping trying to breathe. I was right there going to kill him. I was going to take all the air out of him and let him die slowly and painfully.

But I let him go and throw him to the wall.

Ralph starts coughing out blood while holding his throat. He should black out in a few minutes.

"But as his master, I need to make sure he stays in the light. Killing is not the Jedi way. I need to set a good example." I say. "You will not die yet, but I'll make sure you are put into custody for the rest of your life."

That's when Ralph finally blacks out.

I sigh. My hands were covered in his blood. I get the spare handcuffs from the other room and put it on Ralph. I make sure it's tight.

I was about to call the fleet and tell them about Ralph till I remembered Ezra was still sleeping.

I hope he didn't wake up from all the noise.

I quickly go to Hera's room to check on Ezra. When I walked in, my eyes widened.

Everything was floating in the air while the lights kept turning on and off. Ezra was shaking while screaming.

"Please stop!!!! Please stop!!!" He shouts with his eyes closed.

He's having a nightmare. I must've not heard him while I was beating up Ralph.

I quickly go to his side and try to shake him awake. Ezra was sweating like crazy.

"Ezra!!! Wake up!!! You're having a nightmare!!" I shout.

When he finally wakes up, everything drops to the floor and the lights break leaving us in the darkness.

Ezra starts to breathe heavy with tears in his eyes. I already know what he was dreaming about. It made my blood go cold thinking about Ralph again.

"Ezra why didn't you tell me?" I ask him right away.

He looks at confused. "Tell you what?"

"About what Ralph was doing to you?" I ask feeling the urge to cry thinking about it.

Ezra's eyes widen. "How did you know?"

"There was a camera in your room. Ezra why didn't you contact me while I was gone or tell me when I came back?" I ask him.

"Because.....I was scared. He threatened to kill me and......" Ezra starts sobbing. "Y-you don't know how b-bad it felt being forced to do that s-stuff."

I pull him close to me and hug him. I was starting to cry thinking of how frightened he was throughout the month.

"It's ok Ezra. You're safe now. He can't bother you anymore." I say while stroking his hair.

"It was so awful Kanan." Ezra says.

"I know Ezra. I'm here now and will never let that happen to you again." I say.

"Thank you dad. I missed you so much." He whispers.

I tighten my grip on him. "You're welcome my son. I missed you too."

Time Skip

Kanan's pov

Ralph is now in prison and we will never see him again. If we do, then he will get another round of punches.

I made sure Ezra got checked in the med bay from all those painful nights. There were lots of marks on his neck and chest which made me shed a few tears.

But luckily, they weren't serious and should be gone in a matter of time.

By now, the rest of the crew returned from another successful mission. I told them everything that happened and they were all shocked.

Zeb was so furious about this and wanted to kill Ralph. But I told him he was never going to be seen again. Hera gave Ezra a very tight hug while crying herself. Sabine felt bad for Ezra and wanted Ralph to pay for what he did.

She felt a little better when I told her what I did to him.

Ezra is now back to his old self. He is laughing again and smiling like he used to. At times he would have nightmares about Ralph, but I will always be by his side to help him.

Right now, Ezra and I are in my room. I felt it would be better if he slept in the same room as me for the time being.

Ezra was finishing putting power cells into his light saber while I was meditating. When it was getting late, I get up and go to the light switch.

"Time for bed Ezra." I say and turn off the lights. But when I looked back at him, he was already asleep with his light saber on the floor.

Ezra has definitely been feeling safer to sleep without the fear of Ralph hurting him again.

I smile and put a blanket on him tucking him in.

Ezra starts to smile snuggling with the soft silky blanket. I brush his hair out of his face and kiss his forehead.

"Goodnight my son. Sleep well." I say and go on my bed.

I close my eyes and let myself fall asleep knowing Ezra is now safe and away from harm.
