The whole shrine was silent again except for those animal and insect noise around. Kyoka softly layed on the grass as she embraced the sun's warmth. Once again, a body figure was detected by her senses.
Someone's being stubborn again.
"How can you see me? Aren't you alive? Aren't you a human?" Kyoka quickly spatted, her gaze not faptering. Although a bit irritated, she does seem to enjoy it as well. She hadn't done something like this for several decades already.
"I do always get that reaction from the other spirits I met." The holy knight took the spot beside her. The goddess felt happy that she had someone to talk to but also felt uncomfortable at the same time.
Kyoka made a mental sigh of relief. "So you're dead." Her attention fixated on his features. 'Not bad though,' she thought.
"No. . . not yet." His voice trailed off. There was a flash of sadness that came accross his eyes. She can tell that he was enduring something. Yet when she blinked for a moment, his joyful expression came back.
Her brows knitted. "What do you mean?" The goddess become curious. She was supposed to eliminate this human from her shrine. However, something in her mind was preventing her to do so.
"Besides from my main quirk. . ." He paused for a moment, staring at his hands. "I also have a semi-apparition ability, where I can seperate my soul from my body." The blonde ran his hands through his hair as he sighed.
Kyoka remembered the other spirits she met a thousand of years ago who had the same ability with him. Well, the kind like him are really a rare case.
"Currently, my body is resting in the infirmary. But the spirit, which is me, is right now next to you." The holy knight made a cheeky grin. Kyoka couldn't believe that he's making himself more idiot, denying the fact that it really made him cute at all.
"That is why you needed the goblet of immortality, huh?" Kyoka now understand his whole situation.
Her shrine was actually forbidden to those people who have bad objectives. They couldn't even pass the shrine nor step on the entrance. Others who tried to get the immortality quirk had given up since it is really impossible to pass through. Yet, it's a different case to Kaminari.
"Yeah, I did but now I think that it's something important to you." Kaminari stood up as well as Kyoka. They stared at each other's gazes.
"Indeed. Without that, my shrine would be dead and I can't stay here on Earth forever." She crossed her arms, unexpecting his sudden outburst.
"Wait, what?! I knew it! I shouldn't have done this! I'm so sorry!" He bowed his head at his most possible lowest angle he can do, receiving a laugh from the goddess.
"You're so fragile!" She giggled, unnoticing his sigh. He mumbled something before he turned around. No one would ever hear his words.
Kyoka shrugged the blonde's crestfallen mood, knowing humans are really emotional.
"So you must go now. There's nothing you can do here anymore."
"I don't think so."
