Love at First Sound

Summary: He didn't come to gawk at a certain purple-haired pianist. He didn't mean to stare at her like he was some love-struck idiot. He was not mesmerized by the sight of this aloof person. He must not be.

A tiny bell rang as Denki Kaminari pushed through the doors of the UA café. He had heard a lot of good remarks in this café. Their lattes are best selling and even the aroma takes you back to the good olden times. He could still recall what his co-worker, Mineta, has said to him.

There are cute girls who works there.

However, he didn't came for that today. Denki just wants to take a sip of their said coffe after being exhausted from work, earlier morning. The calm and cozy atmosphere inside made him relaxed. He observed the minty green walls, the wallpaper with some All Might icons around. The place was also well-lit with 50's themed lampshades. His eyes darted on the counter. There were three staffs working --- a red-haired guy with sharp teeth, a brunette with a flushed, round face and a girl with a curly, pink hair. He had no intention of flirting them or whatsoever.

He was glad that the line wasn't that long. Denki was too tired to wait. And when it was his turn to order, he was greeted with the brunette woman under the name of 'Ochaco Uraraka' (he could see it on her name plate just right above her right breast).

"Medium-sized espresso, 40% whip cream please." The blonde ordered as Uraraka pressed on the register.

"Would that be all?"

Denki nodded, pulling out his wallet. "That would be 195 yen."

After paying, he grabbed his drink and was about to leave the place when someone pressed the keys of the piano. This caught everyone's eyes, including him.

The pianist's slender fingers started to press the tiles. A melancholic sound filled the room and in a second, Denki froze. His heart started to pulsate even more and he knew it wasn't normal. His eyes are locked on the pianist's fingers, pressing the tiles delicately. The music enchanted him --- sparkling, crystalline and unique. But what added more beauty to the music was the purple-haired pianist. He couldn't remove his gaze on her. Her purple shiny hair that obscured her beautiful eyes was something he hadn't ever seen.

And when her fingers stopped, gone is the music he adored. The pianist rose from her seat and headed towards the door. Denki inhaled deeply before catching up with her.

Both of them were outside, a meter apart. Denki watched her as she adjusted her coat. She shot him a sideways glance.

"Do I have business with you?" The blonde smiled nervously from the question.

"N-no. . ."

She turned away with that nonchalant expression. "Well then, excuse me."

Denki hesitated a moment to speak. He still ended up calling her again, not letting her disappear quickly.

"What is it, Pikachu?"  She narrowed her eyes, giving him her most terrifying glare. He didn't know that she could be this scary. However, that didn't offended him.

"The way you played the piano earlier was awesome. I was wondering if I might still hear you playing again in this cafe." Denki flashed her a grin, an innocent look was on his face.

"I suggest you watch Professional Pianists on Youtube. I'm busy."

"Well, I prefer listening to you than using Youtube. By the way, my name's Kaminari Denki. What's yours?"

Her eyes twitched. She found the guy very persistent. "Thank you, Kaminari-san. But I do not intend telling you my name. Now, don't try calling me again or I'll be calling the police."

Denki only chuckled. Of course, there would be ways in knowing her name and that would be saved for tomorrow. And he also corrects himself, repetitively. He isn't in love. He didn't come to gawk at a certain purple-haired pianist. He didn't mean to stare at her like he was some love-struck idiot. He was not mesmerized by the sight of this aloof person. He must not be.
