He is living with his mother and young sister after his father pass away because he is died in a investigation accident, Satoru's father was a Detective and teach Satoru about being Detective. Satoru meet Riku Sugiyama in middle school, and he being a school nerd as he befriend Riku but Riku being stoic. Satoru want Riku to be his Aibou but Riku refused and decide to study hard.
