Mio (澪) is a young girl who has just lost her actual family and was sent to the orphanage before the Kusanagi family (草薙家 Kusanagi-ke) adopted her and changes her name as Mio Kusanagi (草薙 澪 Kusanagi Mio). Even though she was not blood-related, they've already treated her fairly and seeing her as one of their own, especially for her foster brother, Yuuki Kusanagi (草薙 悠来 Kusanagi Yūki), who has become her closest family member and she eventually falls in love with him, but she couldn't admit her feelings towards her brother.

In the fateful day, Mio has gone to the museum alongside her brother and friends for the trip before they've trying to stop the mysterious thief, who has stolen the priceless bronze mirror from the museum. However, things didn't end so well as the mirror end up shattering, cause Mio and the others were sent to the alternate world of Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

After she was sent back to ancient China, Mio gains her ability to transform into Kamen Rider Zangetsu (仮面ライダー斬月［ザンゲツ］ Kamen Raidā Zangetsu) and later, she was reunited by her brother and eventually takes her role as the second Messenger of Heaven (天の御遣い Ten no Mitsukai).

Mio, along with her brother, now begins their quest to bring peace to ancient China.

In terms of strength and abilities, Mio Kusanagi/Kamen Rider Zangetsu (Shin) was considered as the third and strongest Riders among both Sengoku and Genesis Riders in the Koihime†Musou: Sangokuden no Gaim, with Yuuki Kusanagi and Séverin Niel/Kamen Rider Bravo being the first and second strongest Riders respectively.

Kamen Rider Zangetsu's Rider Indicators (Normal & Watermelon)

The Sengoku Driver (戦極［センゴク］ドライバー Sengoku Doraibā, lit. "War Culminating Driver") is the transformation belt for the Sengoku Riders.

Her Sengoku Driver is one of the original Prototype Sengoku Drivers and it has DNA Restriction features which only allows Mio Kusanagi to uses the Sengoku Driver after places the Driver on his waist for the first time. Her Sengoku Driver is also featuring both Musou Saber and its Holster.

Her Sengoku Driver plays an Japanese horagai music and announces "Soiya" (ソイヤ) before every transformation while her personal Lockseeds are styled in pure Japanese.

The Sengoku Driver is composed of the following parts:

　・Lock On Arm (ロックオンアーム Rokku On Āmu) is the arm part fixing the Lockseed. When releasing the power of Lockseed, it plays a role of a safety device to prevent power runaway.

　・Drive Bay (ドライブベイ Doraibu Bei) is the storage bay to set Lockseed. It has enough strength to withstand power released and also plays a role as a connector for connection that exchanges energy between Lockseed and Sengoku Driver.

　・Cutting Blade (カッティングブレード Kattingu Burēdo) is a blade-like switch that plays the role of a trigger to release the power of Lockseed. By lowering the blade, the set Lockseed opens, and it exerts its effect.

　・Rider Indicator (ライダーインジケーター Raidā Injikētā) is a display board indicating that the transformation to Armored Rider was certified.

　・Lift-off Switch (リフトオフスイッチ Rifuto-ofu Suitchi) is a switch next to the Cutting Blade. It can release the transformation by the Sengoku Driver.

　・Folding Band (フォルディングバンド Forudingu Bando) is the belt part to hold the Sengoku Driver. Usually it is folded and stored in the buckle part of the driver, but it automatically stretches according to the wearer's body shape.

　・Band Shelter (バンドシェルター Bando Sherutā) is a storage block to store the Folding Band.

The Sengoku Driver is usually only in its buckle form. If the user wants to use the belt, all they have to do is place it on their waist and the Folding Band will automatically wrap around their body, fastening the belt.

The Sengoku Driver possesses a Rider Indicator called Face Plate (フェイスプレート Feisu Purēto) on the wearer's left hand side. The Rider Indicator indicates what Ride Wear was generated upon attaching to the user during its first use. When the Driver is damaged beyond function, the Rider Indicator becomes blank. Removal of the Rider Indicator allows extensions to be used in its place.

Not every Sengoku Drivers are made equal with some being more powerful than the others.

The Sengoku Driver can pluck Helheim fruit and transform them into Lockseeds. Wearing a Driver and locking a Lockseed in also provides nutrition to a wearer thus allowing them to survive without growing hungry.

When the Cutting Blade is pressed down between one and three times, a Rider can activate a certain ability.

　・Once: The Squash (スカッシュ Sukasshu) function can either power up a Rider's Arms Weapon for a finishing attack or allow the user to initiate a Rider Kick when infused with the fruit-shaped/nut-shaped energy of their Arms.

　・Twice: The Au Lait (オーレ Ōre) function gives extra power to the Squash function.

　・Thrice: The Sparking (スパーキング Supākingu) function can either further enhance a Rider's finishing attack to its full potential or temporarily convert the user's Armor Part into its original fruit/nut form to spin and use as a shield.

Sengoku Driver w/Genesis Core Unit

The Genesis Core Unit (ゲネシスコアユニット Geneshisu Koa Yunitto) is the central piece of the Genesis Driver. As it is more advanced than the prototype drivers used in the Sengoku Driver, it can accept both normal Lockseeds and the Energy Lockseeds. The effect of using a Normal Lockseed and Energy Lockseed in conjunction creates a jinbaori-themed Jimber Armor Part, a mixture of both of the Lockseeds that make it up.

The Genesis Core Unit can be used alongside the Sengoku Driver by removing its Rider Indicator and attaching the unit in its place. Initially deemed as a reject prototype and failure, this configuration yields unexpected results, granting performance extremely similar to the standard Genesis Driver. Aside from this, it grants varying special abilities exclusive only to this configuration, which is sacrificed in the standard Genesis Driver for higher raw performance.

Genesis Driver (Normal & Lockseed-In)

Genesis Driver w/Folding Band

The Genesis Driver (ゲネシスドライバー Geneshisu Doraibā) is the transformation belt for the Genesis Riders. It utilizes powerful artificial Lockseeds known as Energy Lockseeds (エナジーロックシード Enajī Rokkushīdo). Unlike the Sengoku Drivers, the Genesis Drivers didn't have DNA Restriction features and the Genetic Ride Wear undersuits are programmed within the Energy Lockseeds rather than onto the Driver itself.

The Genesis Driver is composed of the following parts:

　・Seaboll Compressor (シーボルコンプレッサー Shīboru Konpuressā) - The handle. Pressing it into the Genesis Driver releases the Energy Lockseed's power and allows for transformation and deathblows.

　・Genesis Core (ゲネシスコア Geneshisu Koa) - A connecting terminal where Energy Lockseeds are inserted. Because plans to mass-produce the Sengoku Driver ran parallel to the Genesis Driver's production, it can be removed and attached to the Sengoku Driver.

　・Vascular Duct (バスキュラーダクト Basukyurā Dakuto) - A straw-like pipe that runs from the main body to the Concentrate Pod. It sends energy extracted from an inserted Energy Lockseed to the Concentrate Pod.

　・Concentrate Pod (コンセントレイトポッド Konsentraatio Poddo) - The clear cup-shaped energy pod located towards the bottom. It stores and stabilises any liquified energy extracted from an Energy Lockseed.

　・Lift-off Switch (リフトオフスイッチ Rifuto-ofu Suitchi) - A switch that releases the Genesis Driver from the user. Located on the right top section.

Like the Sengoku Driver, the Genesis Driver is usually only in its buckle form. If the user wants to use the belt, all they have to do is place it on their waist and the Folding Band (フォルディングバンド Forudingu Bando) will automatically wrap around their body, fastening the belt.

To transform, the user opens the lock on the Energy Lockseed, which causes a dimensional opening into the Helheim Forest to materialize above them and an Armor Part that corresponds to the Energy Lockseed used to appear from it. Afterwards, the user attaches the Energy Lockseed onto the belt's Drive Bay (ドライブベイ Doraibu Bei) and closes the lock to secure it into the Lock On Arm (ロックオンアーム Rokku On Āmu). Finally, the user pushes the Seaboll Compressor (シーボルコンプレッサー Shīboru Konpuressā) juicer in, which extracts the juice from the Energy Lockseed itself through the Vascular Duct (バスキュラーダクト Basukyurā Dakuto) and into the glass-like Concentrate Pod (コンセントレイトポッド Konsentraatio Poddo) at the bottom, causing the Armor Part to fall on top of the user's head and the Driver to announce the Arms granted, along with its corresponding music (or in the Lemon Energy and Matsubokkuri Energy Lockseed's case, its corresponding phrase).

When the Seaboll Compressor is pushed in between one and two times, a Rider can activate a certain ability.

　・Once: The Squash (スカッシュ Sukasshu) function can either power up a Rider's Sonic Arrow for a Rider Slash or trigger an alternate finishing attack.

　・Twice: The Sparking (スパーキング Supākingu) function can either enhance a Rider's finishing attack to its full potential, allowing the user to initiate a Rider Kick when infused with the fruit-shaped/nut-shaped energy of their Arms, or temporarily convert the user's Armor Part into its original fruit/nut form to spin and use as a shield.

・Lockseeds

The Lockseeds (ロックシード Rokkushīdo) are mysterious devices that are the source of the Sengoku Riders' powers. They all have powers associated with fruits, seeds, berries, and nuts. Lockseeds were originally fruits that grow on trees in the Helheim Forest.

The Inves love Lockseeds and Helheim's fruits, regarding them as their favorite food. However, if an Inves consumes a Lockseed, it assumes its Advanced State, and if it consumes yet another Lockseed, then that Inves will evolve into its Strengthened Form.

When a person wearing a Sengoku Driver/Genesis Driver picks a Helheim fruit, they will quickly convert into Lockseeds.

If an Sengoku Rider summons an Inves in a battle, then they will be fully materialized in the real world, however if a New Generation Rider summons an Inves, one Lockseed can call in three at a time. If one manages to jailbreak a Lockseed, they can summon fully materialized Inves as well without being an Armored Rider, although there is a chance for the Lockseed to malfunction.

Lockseeds are given ranks, from D to A, but it is unknown if either the number of the Lockseed, the chance of rarity of such a Lockseed being found, or a combination of the two makes the Lockseed's ranking.

A-Class Lockseeds are normally unbreakable (though they can be devoured by an Inves or destroyed by powerful attacks). Given their powerful nature, they are useful for both transformation as an Armored Rider or to summon a high-class Inves. One drawback is that the summoned Inves is in its Advanced State, and if said Inves consumes a Lockseed that summoned it or an entirely different Lockseed, it will evolve into a second form of itself called an Strengthened State (強化体 Kyōka-tai).

Beyond the normal variety of Lockseeds, there exists another brand of Lockseed in the form of Lock Vehicle Lockseeds (ロックビークルロックシード Rokku Bīkuru Rokkushīdo). They are indicated by their rougher design and their theme being based on flowers. Once unlocked, the Lock Vehicles will unfold from their Lockseed Modes into their Vehicle Modes, and have the capacity to breach into the Helheim Forest by forming a crack (either at a certain speed or with a beam). Due to these Lockseeds being made mainly as a mode of transportation, Lock Vehicle Lockseeds do not have a Lockseed ranking.

A certain organization has managed to created fully functional artificial and more powerful Lockseeds Energy Lockseeds (エナジーロックシード Enajī Rokkushīdo) that sacrifices the ability to summon a normal Arms Weapons when used in a Driver, instead summoning a Sonic Arrow (with the exception of Kamen Rider Kurokage Shin). These particular Lockseeds can only be used by a New Generation Rider with a Genesis Driver, though there is a roundabout way Sengoku Driver-wearing Armored Riders can use Energy Lockseeds. In terms of rankings, Energy Lockseeds are given the general rank of Class S, outranking even the more powerful nature-converted Lockseeds (except skilled users of the Suika Lockseed). Like A-Classed Lockseeds, they are normally unbreakable.

Musou Saber (Kamen Rider Zangetsu Ver.)

The Musou Saber (無双［ムソウ］セイバー Musō Seibā, lit. "Unrivaled Saber") is Kamen Riders Gaim, Zangetsu, Bujin Gaim, Gaim Yami, Jam and Proto Gaim's side weapon. Being a side weapon for certain Sengoku Riders, the Musou Saber is carried in a holster located on the left side of their Sengoku Driver as part of their suit.

The Musou Saber consists of the following parts:

　・Hamon Edge (ハモンエッジ Hamon Ejji) is blade section of the saber. It is a blade which analyzed the structure of some famous sword and demon saber of the world, greatly improved by modern state-of-the-art technology and improved sharpness and strength.

　・Musou Muzzle (ムソウマズル Musou Mazuru) is a muzzle that fires a bullet in gun mode.

　・Energy Chamber (エナジーチャンバー Enajī Chanbā) is the energy gauge of the saber. At high power, the chamber itself emits light strongly, and the remaining number of bullets in Gun mode is displayed.

　・Drive Launch (ドライブランチ Doraibu Ranchi) is the storage bay for loading . By setting the Lockseed, finisher can be released in Saber Mode and Gun Mode.

　・Barrett Slide (バレットスライド Baretto Suraido) is a slide switch for bullet loading in gun mode. It is necessary to reload if remaining impact bullets are displayed in the energy chamber where remaining debris is displayed.

　・Burai Trigger (ブライトリガー Burai Torigā) is a trigger used for triggering finishers and gun mode shooting.

　・Power Cell Grip (パワーセルグリップ Pawā Seru Gurippu) is the grip part of the saber. A large capacity power cell is built in, and supplies energy to the saber.

The Musou Saber can be used as both a sword, which is known as Saber Mode (セイバーモード Seibā Mōdo) and a gun, known as Gun Mode (ガンモード Gan Mōdo), at the same time. To activate the gun portion, the user pulls the Barrett Slide (バレットスライド Baretto Suraido) tab in the back, allowing them to shoot at any range four times.

By inserting a Lockseed into the Drive Launch (ドライブランチ Doraibu Ranchi) and locking it in place, Gaim, Zangetsu or Bujin Gaim can perform a Fruits Charge (フルーツチャージ Furūtsu Chāji) finishing attack, which is announced by the Musou Saber counting "1, 10, 100" (一、十、百 Ichi, Jū, Hyaku). The Musou Saber can count higher to "1,000" (千 Sen) and "10,000" (万 Man) while combined with the Daidaimaru, as well as even further to "100,000,000" (億 Oku), "1,000,000,000,000" (兆 Chō), and "Muryodaisu" (無量大数 Muryōdaisū, lit. "Immeasurable large number", which is the number Infinity in modern day mathematics) while combined with the DJ Gun. The Musou Saber also has a finisher for Gun Mode, the Musou Shot (無双ショット Musō Shotto, lit. "Unrivaled Shot"), which is activated by pulling on the Pallete Slide beforehand.

・Kachidoki Bata

The Kachidoki Bata (カチドキ旗(バタ) lit. "Triumph Flags") are a pair of sashimono (指物) possessed by Kamen Rider Zangetsu in Kachidoki Arms. They are part of the Kachidoki Armor Part and feature Zangetsu's respective symbols. While they can be detached and wielded as weapons, they are normally stored on the Zangetsu's back.

The Melon Defender (メロンディフェンダー Meron Difendā) is the Sengoku Rider Arms Weapons granted either by accessing Melon Arms or via the summoning ability of Kiwami Arms. True to its shield design, the Melon Defender can be used to block attacks, thus leaving the opponent wide open. In addition to being a shield, it has sharp curves and a sharp point on the bottom of the shield which allows the Melon Defender to also act as a melee weapon. It can also be thrown towards an opponent and return like a boomerang. It ultimately pair's well with the Musou Saber, giving Zangetsu a great balance between ranged and close combat attacks.

The Genesis Bow Sonic Arrow (創世弓ソニックアロー Sōseikyū Sonikku Arō), more commonly referred to as the Sonic Arrow, is a bladed bow-like side weapon used primarily by any Kamen Rider who transforms using a fruit-based Class-S Energy Lockseed. Non fruit-based Class-S Energy Lockseeds provide an Arms Weapon instead. The Sonic Arrow was used as her primary weapon as Kamen Rider Zangetsu Shin Melon Energy Arms.

The bow is a modernized bow with blades on the front of the bow, allowing its users to use it as a melee weapon. It features a laser point tracer to aid the user in landing important shots. Depending on the Energy Lockseed the user is equipped with, the Sonic Arrow can serve different purposes, serving a wide range of utility.

Taiken Mode

The Hinawatenga-DJ-Ju (火縄甜瓜ＤＪ銃 Hinawa Tenga Dī Jei Jū, lit."Matchlock Sweet Melon DJ Gun") is a white-colored variant of Kamen Rider Gaim's DJ Gun and the Sengoku Rider Arms Weapons granted either by accessing Kachidoki Arms or via the summoning ability of Kiwami Arms. It resembles an updated and futuristic Tanegashima rifle. It was served as Kamen Rider Zangetsu Kachidoki Arms' primary weapon.

By scratching the disk-like DJ Table (ＤＪテーブル Dī Jei Tēburu) apparatus, Gaim can enhance his shots, which are further subjected by the settings of the DJ Pitch (ＤＪピッチ Dī Jei Pitchi) switch, which is set at Medium by default, but can also be set at either Low or High. To further enhance the shots, Gaim has to scratch the DJ Table once again, then pull the trigger to show the effect.

　・Low: Cannon-like bursts
　・Medium: Shotgun-like blasts
　・High: Machine gun-like firing speeds

The DJ Gun can combine with the Musou Saber for the stronger Taiken Mode (大剣モード Taiken Mōdo, lit. "Great Sword Mode"), making the Great Orange Blade (大橙刃 (Daidaijin) edge piece appear on the back of what would be the Matchlock Grip (火縄グリップ Hinawa Gurippu).

The Sakura Hurricane (サクラハリケーン Sakura Harikēn) is the first of the Lock Vehicles available to be used by both Sengoku Riders and Genesis Riders, which is summoned by unlocking the Sakura Hurricane Lockseed. Mio Kusanagi/Kamen Rider Zangetsu (Shin) has used it as her main Rider Machine. The Sakura Hurricane was based on a Honda CRF250L. The code is L.V. 01.

Sakura Hurricane consists of the following parts:

　・Shield Chip (シールドチップ Shīrudo Chippu) is the windshield of Sakura Hurricane. It also fulfills the role of radar, and in addition to detecting surrounding conditions during driving, collect data necessary for traveling.

　・Bloom Processor (ブルームプロセッサー Burūmu Purosessā) is the flower-shaped control device that controls the function of Sakura Hurricane. It controls all functions such as power system, navigation while driving, support for posture control. Spatial projection display is carried and instruments such as dimension indicator can be projected from here and displayed.

　・Dimension Shifter (ディメンションシフター Dimenshon Shifutā) is a cylinder-shaped warp driving device that artificially generates distortion of space or joins the spaces apart together.

・Front Vine (フロントバイン Furonto Bain) is an oscillator installed on the fender, that generates an energy shield to protect passengers and car body from gravity anomalies that occur when passing through a crack in space.

　・Petalleaf (ペタルリーフ Petarurīfu) is a cylinder-shaped energy shield oscillator. Cooperate with Front Vine to create an energy shield covering the vehicle body and passengers.

　・Ancient Locker (アンチェインドロッカー Ancheindo Rokkā) is the armor to guard the equipment of the rear wheel and power transmission system. It also has the role of protecting the car body from external shocks occurring during sub-space traveling.

　・YGE-001 (ワイジーイーゼロゼロワン Waijīī-zerozerowan) is a four-stroke in-line four-cylinder gasoline engine of Sakura Hurricane. By utilizing a part of the output of the dimension shifter with the main power during normal traveling, the ordinary 150% acceleration can be obtained momentarily.

　・Bell Housing Drum (ベルハウジングドラム Beru Haujingu Doramu) is a 2-piston-caliper-hydraulic-disc brake. With a strong stopping power, the braking distance is reduced to 40% of the usual braking system.

　・Planas Seat (プラナスシート Puranasu Shīto) is the riding seat of Sakura Hurricane. The special resin cushion inside the seat freely deforms according to the attitude of the passenger, and absorbs the impact and prevents the balance from collapsing. It also supports acrobatic movements such as running at high speed and jumping off from high altitude.

　・Radial Grounder (ラジアルグラウンダー Rajiaru Guraundā) is the all-round type tires for both on-road and off-road use. It is gathered up with high quality such as grip, brake effectiveness and controllability.

・Dandeliner

This machine has the ability to fly and has a weapons system within the front. Mio Kusanagi/Kamen Rider Zangetsu (Shin) has used it as his secondary Rider Machine. The code is L.V. 03.
