In a certain ancient era

A warrior appeared to be fighting a horde of monsters and defeating them. After that, the warrior sealed himself inside the stone coffin.

Kurogatake Ruins Excavation Site

A group of archaeologists have just found the very stone coffin that the warrior sealed himself. Right now, they were working and talking at the same time.

Archaeologist 1: Haruta, is everything okay over there?

Archaeologist 2: I'm good. Are you okay, Akiyama?

Archaeologist 3: This is amazing... Oh, Professor, everything's ready.

Archaeologist 4: *nods*

Archaeologist 5: We're are good over here, too.

Archaeologist 6: *videography*

Archaeologist 4: All right, let's open this thing.

All of them: Right.

The group immediately began to open the stone coffin and discovered inside was a mummy of the warrior himself. The group was extremely surprised by this discovery.

Archaeologist 4: It's so strange, finding something like this in Japan.

Archaeologist 1: Professor, there are differences here that don't reflect any known interment practices.

Archaeologist 2: Professor... This doesn't say anything like "touch this and be cursed", right?

Archaeologist 4: Well, we already touched it. So less joking, more working.

The group giggled for a while and then started doing their thing without noticing the mummy's hand moving a little.

Kuoh Town

There was a high school boy trying to calm a crying boy who lost his parents.

?: I know this is kind of sudden, but I think the coolest people are the ones who can smile no matter how hard it gets. When I was eight, I got lost in the mountains around the Annapurna Massif in Nepal. I thought I was dead. I was totally terrified and wanted to cry. But there was a local kid who was with me, a guide, and even though we were the same age, he just smiled and said it would be fine. I was so inpressed by that!

The student spoke in a light and cheerful tone, but unfortunately, that wasn't enough to make that kid stop crying. Still, he continued to coax.

?: That said, I guess being separated from your mom and dad is scary, huh? Ta-da!

Seeing that the words had no effect, the student immediately took out three small balls and started juggling them, but not forgetting a happy smile. The boy saw this and stopped crying, the student after juggling, smiled and raised his thumb, making the boy want to do the same. Seeing that the boy had stopped crying, the student was happy and immediately gave him one of his balls. Soon after, the boy's parents found them and thanked the student profusely and started to leave.

The two had just finished talking when another girl appeared.

?2: President , here you are! There are some things that need you to take care of urgently! *looks at Yusuke* Who is this?

Yusuke: *laughs* Hi, I'm Yusuke Godai, second year, new transfer student *raises hand*.

The male students in Yusuke's class immediately gave him a hateful look at the level of attention he received from the female students.

Teacher: Just when there is an empty seat, you sit there.

Yusuke: Yes sir.

Yusuke immediately sat in that empty seat, and as soon as he sat down, suddenly a voice next to him was heard.

3: *laughs* Hi, long time no see.

Yusuke: Um, hi... Do we know each other?

?3: I knew you would say that right away. Hyoudou Issei, your childhood friend.

Teacher: Hey, you two, shut up. It's time for school.

Yusuke/Issei: Yes *laughs nervously*.

So they both started to focus on their lessons.

Two girls appeared to be talking to each other about something.

?4: What's wrong, President?

It's break time, Yusuke and Issei are happily talking to each other.

Just as Yusuke finished speaking, two boys appeared calling out to Issei.

So the three of them ran off to do some crazy things, Yusuke was disappointed with the change in his childhood friend and had to go back to class alone.

Jounan University Archeology Lab

One night in a room, a girl was looking at the pictures of the stone coffin on her computer while talking on the phone to the person on the other line.

?6: Hello? Oh, Makoto. I'm busy, so can this way? Huh? No, I don't have any scoops. Right now, I'm digging through assorted ancient languages from around the globe to see if anything matches the ruins from the Kurogatake site.

While talking on the phone, one of her colleagues started to leave but did not forget to wave goodbye to her, she also waved back and continued to talk to Makoto. Suddenly Makoto talked about that stone coffin's cursed message to her.

?6: Oh, come on, do you really think there'd be a curse?

She talked on the phone without realizing that someone was climbing the vines outside the building.

?6: The writings on tombs usually just say, "So-and-so is buried here, along with such-and-such.". It's like a directory. Act like a real reporter and dig up your own scoops, okay? See ya.

After talking, she ended the call and started looking for some documents. By this time, that person had managed to climb through the window in the room she was working in. Yusuke smiled while showing off his newly worn mask to her. She just smiled and continued talking.

?6: Great, more weird stuff. Want some coffee? And how is the new school?

Yusuke: Very good. By the way, Sakurako-san, aren't you over there?

Sakurako: I'm not always there. And besides, someone asked me to translate these ancient languages.

Yusuke: Ha ha, Sakurako-san is not only good at science but also good at archeology. You are truly one of a kind.

Sakurako: *laughs* This guy, stop flattering others.

Suddenly Sakurako's computer had finished translating two of the characters from the ruins. Sakurako immediately came to see.

Sakurako: What the... What's going on here?

Yusuke: *curious* What's up?

Sakurako: Look at this.

Yusuke goes over to see the two words that have just been translated on the computer, one of them means "death" and the other means "warning". Sakurako laughed and was a little worried.

?6: I guess I'll tell the dig team. It'll make for good conversation.

Sakurako then took out her phone and started calling the archaeological team to talk about it.

Over there, the team's equipment is malfunctioning. Right now the archeology team is being attacked by something. One of the team of archaeologists is trying to call the police to ask for help.

Some Archaeologist: Hello, police?! I'm calling from the Kurogatake ruins excavation site! Help! Save us! Aaaaaah... *screams*!

At the same time, their recording device recorded a mysterious shadow attacking them.

Sakurako heard the group's cries for help over the phone and was shocked. Seeing that, Yusuke immediately went outside when Sakurako asked him to stop him.

Sakurako: Where are you going?

Yusuke: Checking on 'em now! Call you in the few!

Sakurako: Checking...? But you still have to go to school tomorrow.

Yusuke: It's okay to take a day off from school *smiles*.

Sakurako: Probably okay. But how can you going to get there?

Yusuke: Just go there by motorbike. Don't worry, my motorbike has enough gas. Bye!

Yusuke then left and got in the motorbike goes to the excavation team.

Near Komagane Interchange: Central Expressway

     Yusuke was driving in the rain when he stopped at a red light, looked to his left , and saw a large blue beam of energy shooting into the sky from the Kurogatake wreckage. The beam then releases multiple electrical sparks into the surrounding air.

The shadow attacked the archeological team walking through the forest with a blue aura and exploded with the surrounding trees.

He then shoots energy into the ground and says some language.

?!: Awaken!

That caused some monstrous hands to emerge from the ground.

Kurogatake Ruins Excavation Site

     It was morning, a team of police arrived and began to investigate the scene. An inspector in the police group looked around and then began to comment.

?7: A lightning strike didn't do this. What are the chances it was some kind of eruption?

Certain officer: Not likely, and the observation station didn't show any signs of seismic activity.

Yusuke has arrived and is currently observing from the nearby trees. When he saw the entrance to the ruins, some strange images appeared in Yusuke's mind that surprised him enough to make him step back. Over there, a certain officer continued to speak.

Certain officer: I gotta say, the closer we look, the more questions we have. I've been doing mountain rescue for a while now, but this is the first!

Yusuke started trying to sneak into the ruins by running past the inspector and said.

Yusuke: Pardon me! I'll be out of your hair in a sec!

?7: *blocks Yusuke's path* And who are you?

Yusuke: Tsk, guess that's not gonna work, huh?

?7: What are you trying to do?

Yusuke: There was a warning about death.

?7: Huh?

Yusuke: Ms. Sawatari at Jounan University deciphered some of the writing in there, and that's what it said.

?7: Are you with the excavation team?

Yusuke: No, sir. Just passing through. This is me.

Yusuke gave the inspector his business card, which read " Professional dream chaser. Godai Yusuke. Possesses 1999 skills. ". After the inspection finished, he called an officer.

?7: Kameyama...

Tsurumaru: Sir?

?7: Escort him to a squad car.

Yusuke belike:

Tsurumaru: Right. Come along.

Tsurumaru then dragged Yusuke onto the squad car. On the way to the car, Yusuke distracts the officers by pointing to the sky.

Yusuke: Hang on a sec! What is that?!

All of them: *looks up at the sky*

Seeing that the officers were all fooled, Yusuke quickly ran towards the ruins. The inspector saw this and stretched out his hand to stop Yusuke, but unfortunately Yusuke avoided him by slipping under the inspector's arm. However, the inspector then grabbed Yusuke's ankle, tripping him and the inspector caught Yusuke before he hit his head on a metal box. Yusuke suddenly raised his thumb and said.

Yusuke: Smooth moves, officer!

?7: You want to get arrested for obstructing an investigation?

Yusuke: *frightened* Sorry... I'll go.

Yusuke starts to leave, but then he sees a certain officer carrying what looks like a belt out of the ruins in a large bag. This caused Yusuke's head to appear even more strange images, almost all of the warrior. Before leaving, Yusuke also took a close look at one of the figures on the face of the thing.

Nagano Prefectural Police Headquarters

Yusuke is now outside the headquarters and meets Sakurako who is in a state of fatigue because she has just gone jogging.

Sakurako: I wasn't sure if my computer would be enough, so I brought a bunch of other stuff.

Yusuke: Sorry about that... Ah, did you figure out the fax I sent from the convenience store?

Sakurako: I've got a few likely options.

Yusuke: What do you think it means?

Of the two of them, they were investigating the picture when the inspector appeared.

?7: Fancy running into you again.

Yusuke: Ah hey, let me introduce you! This is Sakurako Sawatari-san, who I mentioned!

?7: Oh, so it's you?

Sakurako: *excited* Ichijo-san, long time no see! How are you?

Kaoru: *smiles* It's fine.

Yusuke: Wow, you two know each other?

Sakurako: Introduce me, this person is a police inspector, Ichijo Kaoru-san. And my old friend.

Yusuke: That's it! *turns to Kaoru* Hi Ichijo-san, nice to meet you *smiles and holds out his hand*.

Kaoru: Um *grabs*.

The two shook hands and then released. Kaoru then turned to Sakurako.

Kaoru: I was supposed to contact you. But now that you're here. Great!

Sakurako: What's the matter?

Kaoru: You two follow me.

Kaoru led the two inside the headquarters. In a certain room, Kaoru took out a tape wrapped in a bubble bag for them to see.

Kaoru: This is video in question. It was the only thing we found intact after that disaster.

Sakurako: *surprised* They're all... dead?

Kaoru: The entire team. It seems to have been quick, at least.

Sakurako: I... I only really knew them from around the lab, but...

Yusuke: So... What was on the tape?

Kaoru: I'm going to play a copy we made. If it's too much, let me know and I'll stop it.

Kaoru began to show them the video in the tape showing the stone coffin being lifted from below the coffin and thrown to the side, then a black shadow emerged from the hole below the coffin. The black shadow then raised something similar to a belt and shouted, "Kuuga...". The cry for help is heard in the first recording then begins and that is when the video ends. After the video ended, Kaoru spoke up.

Kaoru: We have no clues as to the identity of that strange shadow. But something about the way he threw down that ornamental belt struck me as significant.

After saying that, Kaoru took out a suitcase.

Kaoru: Usually, having evidence examined by experts requires a bit of paperwork, but I'll handle that on my end.

Kaoru started to open the suitcase for them to see, inside was what looked like a belt. Yusuke immediately recognized it and picked it up and showed Sakurako the symbol in the fax he sent her.

Yusuke: That's it! That's the symbol I sent on the fax!

Suddenly an officer entered the room called Kaoru and whispered to him something quite serious, Kaoru heard that and motioned for the other officer to go ahead. Before leaving, he continued talking to them.

Kaoru: I'm leaving that in your hands, so please look into it. Sorry to do this, but I have to go.

After saying that, Kaoru immediately left. Yusuke started questioning Sakurako.

Yusuke: Sakurako-san, what does this symbol mean?

Sakurako: Power.

Yusuke: Power?

Southern Nagano City

     There are a lot of officers gathered in one place right now. One of them was announcing a serious problem over the radio.

Certain officer: We're in Southern Nanago near the 1532 MK building, where the strange creature has built some kind of giant spider's web!

Suddenly that unidentified creature started attacking the officers.

As soon as he finished attacking the two officers, he began to say a strange language.

?8: You pitiful trash.

The officers immediately opened fire on him but unfortunately those bullets could not do anything to him. He then proceeded to attack and kill all the police officers. An officer was too scared to see that the monster had killed all his teammates, so he jumped in a squad car to escape. Thought to escape that guy but did not expect that he would chase after him.

Yusuke and Sakurako are currently on their way out of headquarters.

Yusuke: Let's start with trying to decipher what's written on that belt.

Suddenly a squad car crashed through the door making everyone surprised and scared, that monster crawled out of the door. He stood up and looked at what looked like a belt.

?8: Is that Kuuga's belt?!

The thing suddenly emitted a bright light that caused Yusuke's head to appear more images of the warrior fighting the monsters.

Yusuke: Again? What does it mean?

That monster began to attack everyone in the headquarters, although there was resistance, it did not affect him. Seeing that, Yusuke became angry and told Sakurako.

Yusuke: Sakurako-san, hide!

Sakurako: What're you...

Yusuke: I'm trying it on!

That monster suddenly came towards them but both of them dodged to one side to avoid his attack. Yusuke while dodging also quickly grabbed something similar to a belt and immediately put it on his stomach and the thing absorbed into Yusuke's body, causing him severe pain. Sakurako witnessed this and couldn't help but be surprised.

Sakurako: No way. That belt just... It merged with Godai-kun's body.

That monster then threw Yusuke out of the headquarters and continued to attack him. He attacked Yusuke so aggressively that he couldn't resist.

Yusuke: *painfully* This is bad... I'm gonna die... If I don't do something!

Yusuke then punched him causing his arm to turn white and look like it was armored.

Yusuke: *surprised* I transformed?!

Yusuke then continues to punch and kick him and he changes more and more with each hit until he finally completely transforms into something quite like that warrior. That monster and Sakurako who had just run over to see were surprised by this
transformation of Yusuke.

However, this transformation seems to have put a strain on Yusuke's body, and he quickly fell to his knees. That monster saw that and laughed.

?8: Those horns are smaller than I remember. And with your form like this, how can you fight against me, Xu-Gmun-Ba.

Gmun then used this to attack Kuuga and send him flying. Kuuga then pushed a truck into Gmun, knocking him to the wall but unfortunately Gmun remained unharmed after that.

Gmun: Is that the best you can do, Kuuga?

Gmun pushed back the truck causing Kuuga to fall, he then released the thread into Kuuga's hand and used it to throw him on a nearby roof, after which Gmun also crawled up to continue fighting Kuuga. During the battle, Gmun cornered Kuuga and prepared to kill him.

Gmun: You're finished, Kuuga!

Suddenly a helicopter appears, Kaoru is currently in it and is surprised to see Kuuga and Gmun.

Kaoru: *surprised* Two of them?

Kaoru then took out a gun and shot at Gmun, distracting him and then ignoring Kuuga and moving on to the next target, Kaoru. He shot a thread on the helicopter and climbed up to attack Kaoru. However, before Gmun could attack Kaoru, Kuuga jumped onto the helicopter and dragged Gmun to the side of the helicopter, where they continued to fight intensely until Kuuga finally kicked Gmun out of the helicopter, then fell through the roof of the shed. Kuuga then made sure that Kaoru was safe. Kaoru was surprised that Kuuga saved him.

Kaoru: Did you just save me?

Kuuga: *thumbs up*

Kaoru: ... Who are you?

Kuuga: Later!

Kuuga jumped out of the helicopter and landed safely in a nearby building. Then, Kaoru raised his thumb and recognized himself.

Kaoru: It couldn't be...

Kuuga immediately ran away and the helicopter returned to where it came from.

Somewhere nearby, a mysterious blonde man wearing the uniform of Kuoh Private academy appeared, observing all the fighting.

?9: Looks like our hope has already appeared. This should be reported to the president.
