Nagano Prefectural Police Hospital

     Kaoru slowly wakes up in the hospital remembering Yusuke's fight from the night before and he looks at his transformation. He is currently bandaged on his chest and has an IV in his arm. As soon as he sat up, he saw a piece of paper on the bedside table, seemingly left by Yusuke. The content of the paper was "Hey, Ichijo-san. I have something important to do so I have to go back to Kuoh. Because I'm currently a student, I probably can't help much, but I'll try to arrange time. I'm going to take this seriously, and I'm not backing down. Yusuke Godai." When he finished reading the paper, he crumpled it.

Kuoh Station: Platform 20

     At this time, Yusuke and Sakurako had just gotten off the subway together.

Yusuke: Wow! Feels like it's been ages since I've breathed Kuoh air!

Sakurako: I still can't believe you lost your bike.

Yusuke: *laughed nervously* Come on, don't mention that anymore. What do you wanna do for lunch? Restaurant?

Sakurako: No! I'm going home for today.

Yusuke: Oh, okay. I was kinda hoping you could decipher more of the writing on the belt for me.

Sakurako: Sorry, but not today.

Yusuke: Yeah, okay. I understand.

Occult Research Club

     Rias was currently sitting at her desk and talking to Kiba, who was standing in front of her.

Rias: How's it going?

Kiba: Yes, President! Just like what you was worried about, the Gurongi had escaped the seal.

Rias: *worried* This is bad. So how is Kuuga?

Kiba: Yusuke-kun is still in the "development" process. I believe he will control that power soon.

Rias: Yes. I also believe so. After all, Kuuga is always the only hope for all of us.

Somewhere in Kuoh

There were the appearance of some strange guys wandering around and looking around everywhere they went, their actions looked like they had never been to a place different from them.

Nagano Prefectural Police HQ

     Kaoru had just exited the elevator when he met his superior, Aira. Aira immediately asked Kaoru about his health.

Gohei: Hey, you doing all right?

Kaoru: Yes. So...

Gohei: We brought the dogs, like you suggested to the location you said ULF 3 ran from.

Kaoru: Did you get anything?

Gohei: I'll tell you what I got: a complete shock. The sweet little pooch Yamato was howling and freaking out, and he took it out on my coat!

Aira angrily showed Kaoru that his coat was bitten by a dog and a bit of fabric was torn off.

Gohei: Are these things aliens or something? Because they sure as hell ain't local.

After talking, they both went into the meeting room to listen to the recent information.

In Toshiao Ward: Wakakusa Daycare

     As soon as Yusuke entered the center and said hello, he was immediately surrounded by eager children. Following they were several babysitters, one of whom was his twin sister.

?1: You're here, Onii-chan!

Yusuke: Yeah, I'm here, Minori-chan.

The two laughed for a moment then joined the others inside. Inside, Yusuke began performing a juggling act for the children as they clapped their hands.

Nagano Prefectural Police Crime Lab

     Kaoru was currently listening to one of the researchers explain about analyzing the body of 1 or rather Xu-Gmun-Ba, the kaijin that was destroyed by Kuuga. Although he was blown up, there were still a few fragments of his body left, so those fragments were brought back for examination by researchers.

Researcher: The analysis of the spider webs and the remains of ULF 1 are not in yet. Understandable. This is uncharted territory. One thing that is finished is the blood analysis. You can see a neer-match for it here.

The researcher shows Kaoru Gmun's blood test data with other blood test data. The two blood test data were quite similar, causing Kaoru to curiously ask the researcher about the other blood test data.

Kaoru: Is it spider blood?

Researcher: No, spiders don't have red blood cells. It's... Human blood.

Nagano Prefectural Police A/V Room

After conveying the information to the head of headquarters, he then played the video of the Unknown Creature attacking the archaeologists to everyone in the room, including Kaoru, Tsurumaru, Aira, and the Unidentified Lifeform body researcher.

Chief: Humans, huh? Human blood... But it's not conclusive, right?

Researcher: Right. The fact that the blood composition is similar doesn't mean we can be sure it's actually human blood. But if you look at the footage we have, these creatures clearly have a lot in common with humans, in terms of morphology.

Chief: We're got 27 victims already. And now reports are starting to come in from the neighboring prefectures. Taking that into account, I want to review what we know about the Unidentified Lifeforms.

He asked Tsurumaru to turn on the projector containing Unidentified Lifeform 1, aka Xu-Gmun-Ba, who was confirmed dead, Unidentified Lifeform 2, which was Kuuga's white form, and Unidentified Lifeform 3, known as Xu-Goma-Gu, is fighting Unidentified Lifeform  4, which is Kuuga's red form. Tsurumaru then shows two more images, which are blurry photos of other Unidentified Lifeform.

Chief: If we designate the one from the video as ULF 0, and include the two we've had sightings of, that means there are at least seven Unidentified Lifeforms.

He requested that all Kanto region police be alerted to the Unidentified Lifeforms, but to keep it and the surrounding investigations a secret. He then ordered the police to open fire when they saw the Unidentified Lifeform. Since regular handguns did not injure them, he equipped the special unit of the Nagano Police with SIG-SAUER P230 semi-automatic guns, HK MP5 submachine guns, and high-powered rifles. After Kaoru heard the announcements just now from the leader, he quickly interjected.

Kaoru: Chief!

Chief: What is it?

Kaoru: I think ULFs 2 and 4 should be excluded as targets.

Chief: Why's that?

Kaoru: They saved me when I was under attack.

Everyone in the room was surprised by what Kaoru just said.

Chief: Can you be sure that's what they were doing?

Kaoru: Yes, sir.

Chief: Then can you prove it?

Kaoru: Well...

Although Kaoru really wanted to remove Number 2 and 4 from the list, unfortunately he had no evidence for that.

After leaving the meeting room, Kaoru called the number on the business card that Yusuke gave him but was transferred to the number of a small restaurant called Pole Pole. A while later, he called Sakurako, whose number went to voicemail on her phone because she was sleeping. Kaoru leaves a message asking her to tell Yusuke not to return to Nagano.

At Yusuke's place, he was currently walking and talking to Minori about the recent troubles in Nagano, but he did not mention Kuuga or the Unknown Creature to his sister.

Minori: Sounds like my brother had a big adventure in Nagano.

Yusuke: Yeah. And I don't think it's over yet.

Minori: You think so?

Yusuke: I do.

Minori: I see...

Yusuke: Yep.

Minori: Did you really get sick in Nagano?

Yusuke: *startle* Huh? How do you know that?

Minori: I learned from Issei-kun, he came to visit you yesterday but because you weren't here, he had to go home. How do you feel now?

Yusuke: *nervous* Oh yeah... Better! I'm just a little tired.

Minori: By the way, Issei bought us some sweets, and they're still in our refrigerator. When you get home, remember to take it out and leave it outside for a while before you can eat it, after all you just recovered from being sick.

Yusuke: Ok, now I have to prepare some things to go to work. Be careful when you get home, Minori-chan.

Minori: Ok. Just make sure to wear clean underwear every day, Onii-chan!

Yusuke: *Embarrassed* Okay. Well, I'm heading out.

Before Yusuke left, he did not forget to give his thumbs up instead of waving goodbye, Minori did the same as he just did.

Nagano Prefectural Police HQ: Underground Parking Lot

Kaoru had just gotten into his car when he was taken by Tsurumaru to see something that looked quite serious, but unfortunately it wasn't that serious. Tsurumaru just wanted to watch a video with Kaoru showing how to use a new police motorbike called the Trychaser 2000A.

Kaoru: This is what the big rush was about?

Tsurumaru: *excited* Oh, yeah! This thing is awesome! Now we can study up on it before it arrives.

Kaoru: *leave*

Tsurumaru: You don't wanna watch, Ichijo-san?

Kaoru: I followed its development when I was in the Metro PD.

Tsurumaru: Wow, I should've known...

Kaoru: The prototype has top speed of 300 kph. Hell of a machine.

Kaoru finished speaking and quickly left to search for ULF 3, leaving Tsurumaru alone to watch the video.

Kuoh: Benkyo Ward

Yusuke went to a small restaurant called Pole Pole. He went to the door and opened it but couldn't because it was locked. Yusuke went looking for the key to open the restaurant's door when he suddenly remembered that he lost it in the church fire. Having no other choice, Yusuke ran around to the side and started climbing up the house. While Yusuke was climbing up, he suddenly heard someone calling him. He turned his head to look at the person who called him and saw Issei sitting on his bicycle.

Yusuke: Oh, hello Issei.

Issei: Are you climbing up the house again? It's been a long time since I've seen this scene! By the way, yesterday I heard that you were sick so you didn't go to school. When I came to visit, I didn't see you at home. What were you doing in Nagano that made you sick?

Yusuke: Ah, it's just a few chores.

Issei: Is that so? How are you now? Seeing you climb like this, it must be cured, right?

Yusuke: Well, thanks for asking and some sweets. I'm better now.

Issei: Ok, I have to go home now. When you have free time, come over to my house to play. My parents miss you very much too.

Yusuke: Oh okay!

Issei rode away on his bicycle, Yusuke opened the restaurant window and went in to get some of his things to prepare to go to Nagano.

Nagano City Interior

     On the way, Kaoru received a call from Tsurumaru, who was quite worried about him.

Tsurumaru: Where are you right now, Ichijo-san?

Kaoru: Trying to track down and deal with ULF 3 while there's still daylight. Before 4 shows up again, I hope.

Tsurumaru: What's got you so worked up about this? I honestly can't believe that one of the Unidentified Lifeform saved your life.

Kaoru: I can't, either. Bye.

Kaoru hung up and continued working but accidentally bumped into a woman on the way.

Kaoru: Oh, excuse me.

Suddenly the woman muttered a strange language similar to the language that Unidentified Lifeform often speak and left. That made Kaoru feel suspicious about that woman's identity, so he quickly ran after her, held up his police badge and asked her.

Kaoru: Just a second! Can I ask you something? What did you just say?

?2: ...

Kaoru: Say something!

After a few seconds of silence, the woman pushed him to the ground and ran away. Kaoru chased after the woman and during the chase, he was suddenly surrounded by a bunch of rose petals. Thought he had lost that woman, but fortunately Kaoru found her so he decided to secretly follow her.

The woman then went to an abandoned warehouse and found Xu-Goma-Gu, also known as Unidentified Lifeform 3, who was using a long piece of cloth to cover his body. The two talked without knowing Kaoru, who was currently hiding in a nearby corner and eavesdropping on their conversation, although Kaoru himself did not understand the conversation very well because the two were talking in their own language.

?2: So you apparently fought Kuuga?

Goma: I did, La-Balva-De! And I nearly killed him!

Balva looked at Goma for a few seconds then transformed into her kaijin form and tormented him.

Kaoru was so surprised that he almost froze because he was witnessing a scene that he never wanted to see.

Tokyo: In Benkyo Ward

     A group of people appeared in a tunnel, among them were the strange people who had been wandering around Kuoh.

Each person in that group was holding a rose petal, it seemed that these rose petals were what Balva gave to each of them to meet each other. After looking at each other for a while, they suddenly encountered two thugs riding a motorbike. When those two guys saw them, one of them got out of the car and started being aggressive.

Thug: Whoa whoa! What are you guys doing around here?!

Group: ...

Thug: What the hell's with the attitude? You got a problem?

After those aggressive words, the group remained unmoved with an expression of not caring about the words coming from him. Suddenly, the thug noticed the girl in their group and found her legs and thighs very attractive, so he started to be sexual by lightly hitting her thighs. The girl began to change her expression to anger and responded with a kick that sent him flying to the ceiling of the tunnel and falling to his death instantly. The remaining thug, after witnessing that scene, started to drive away in fear. The girl still did not want to let the other guy go, so she transformed into her kaijin form and chased him while the others of the group is observing.

Back at Balva's place, after torturing Goma, she gave him a rose petal.

Balva: The others are gathering. Join them in Kuoh.

Goma: *receive rose petal* Ku-oh?

Balva: It's a "play" location.

Goma: Can I still "play"?

Balva: No! There is important information there for us Gurongi.

While the two of them were still talking, Kaoru watched for a while and was about to open fire on them when his phone rang, making them both aware of his presence. Goma advanced to attack Kaoru and he quickly opened his gun at him, but unfortunately Kaoru's shot only grazed Goma's cheek and his wound healed immediately. Goma tried to strangle Kaoru to death but was stopped by Balva because they didn't have time to kill him, so he released Kaoru by throwing him against the pillar. After that, the two left. Kaoru did not understand their actions, but he ignored them and quickly answered his phone and found out that the person calling him was Tsurumaru.

Kaoru: What now?!

Tsurumaru: Traffic cameras in Yamanashi Prefecture have spotted a strange shadow headed in the direction of Kuoh!

Kaoru: *hangs up and surprise* If those things reach Kuoh... He'll...

Kaoru tried to stand up and quickly ran out of the abandoned warehouse.

Benkyo Ward: Near Edani Station

     It's dark now, Yusuke is running to catch the train but accidentally hears the sound of a motorbike crashing. When he ran towards the sound, he saw a Gurongi, the same monster chasing and killing the remaining thug.

Kaoru was currently running and calling Sakurako. He asked her if she had seen Yusuke but unfortunately the answer he received was no which made him even more worried and Kaoru could only hope Yusuke wouldn't do anything foolish.

Yusuke then tried to fight Gurongi to save the thug she was killing, but because Yusuke had not yet transformed, he was greatly overwhelmed. At this time, the police were trying to find the Unidentified Lifeform, a detective was also searching and informing his teammates.

?3: This is Morimichi! We have no idea what we're dealing with. Everybody, stay on your toes. HQ want them dead, not captured. Be ready for anything!

Yusuke then summoned his belt and began his henshin move.

Yusuke: HENSHIN!

Yusuke proceeds to attack Gurongi and henshin Kuuga in the process.

The two were about to start a death match, but soon the police approached the scene. A detective inside immediately contacted other police.

?4: This is Sakurai! I've spotted Unidentified Lifeform 5 near Edani Station. ULF 4 is here, too!

Sugita: Two of them?! Copy that, we'll be there soon!

Ending contact, the policemen who found them began to take their positions to shoot them. Just as they finished their position, more police arrived, including the detective who informed them of the order from HQ.

Sugita: There they are! Sakurai! We're taking aim at ULF 4! Everyone else, aim at 5!

Tsuyoshi/the rest: Roger!

Having finished speaking, all the police raised their guns and prepared to shoot at Kuuga and Gurongi. At this time, Kuuga was confused and didn't know what to do about the current situation.
