Ryūbi Gentoku has made her first appearance in the new version of Koihime†Musou (恋姫†無双) as Shin Koihime†Musou (真・恋姫†無双) in 2008 as the main heroine if the player chose to side with Shoku. Since Ryūbi's appearance in the second game, Kan'u Unchō, who was the main heroine in the first game, is no longer the main heroine afterwards.

Background

Ryūbi Gentoku is a naivë young girl who was living a normal life with her mother and selling the mats and sandals. But, as the Yellow Turbans Rebellion happens, she was harassed by the bandits, who demands to hand over her money and belongings, before Kan'u Unchō and Chōhi Yokutoku saved her. After telling her mother about what happened, she revealed her daughter that she is the descendant of the Imperial Bloodline and gave her the sword that proves her lineage.

Then, Lord Kanrou had foretold about the Messenger of Heaven (天の御遣い Ten no Mitsukai). It is said 'Upon a calm night of turbulent times, the Messenger of Heaven shall descend with a shooting star which splits into four. They bear the Fruits of Heaven as their armor and shall unite the land under their banner. The world will dyed in their color and peace shall reign over the land like a calm and serene forest.'

Since then, three of them traveled together to find one of the Messenger of Heaven so they can change the country and serve under their lordship. Until they've finally met with one of them: Yuuki Kusanagi (草薙 悠来 Kusanagi Yūki), a young man that would be considered as the strongest Messenger of Heaven.

After Shoku was formed under his leadership and she had decided to settle as his second-in-command, together, they would fight together, side by side, to unite the land under their banner and bring peace to the land.
