*Kamala and Doug have a relaxing day at home with baby Devi and Major and some of Kamala friends from the house and senate visit! Thank you so much to my best friend joebidenloving for helping me write this! Enjoy!*

August 16th, 2021

Today has been a relaxing Monday so far for Kamala, Doug and Devi! Devi turned a week old the previous day which Kamala and Doug celebrated!

Kamala, Doug and Devi have been mostly relaxing together, doing regular household chores like laundry and washing dishes while also taking care of Devi when he needs to be fed or changed.

Kamala and Doug have also been dog sitting Joe and Jill's dog Major while they are at the hospital. Joe and Jill should be coming home with their baby boy Jacob later this week.

Right now, Doug is feeding Devi his bottle while Major lays by Doug's feet, missing his parents.

"Once I'm finished feeding Devi, we can play catch." Doug says as he pets Major's head, causing Major tail to wag.

Kamala walks into the living room, wearing a fancy looking t-shirt and a pair of maternity jeans that still fit her, even though they are a little baggier on her now.

"Hi, beautiful! You look so nice today!" Doug says as his face lights up at the sight of Kamala.

"Hi, handsome! And thank you! We are going to have some visitors come to meet Devi today, so I figured I need to get out of my sweats!" Kamala says as she kisses Doug before softly kissing Devi's forehead.

Devi finishes his bottle and Doug begins to burp him on his shoulder.

"That sounds like fun! Who is coming over?" Doug asks Kamala.

"Cory, Amy, Kirsten, Nancy and Chuck!" Kamala says happily as she bends down to pet Major, giving him some much needed attention and love.

"That sounds fun, honey! You haven't seen any of them in a while." Doug says to Kamala and Kamala nods.

"You are such a good boy, Major! Yes, you are! I know you miss your Daddy and Mommy, I know." Kamala says softly as she rubs Major's head.

"He is a good boy. The press gives Major such a bad rap for no reason." Doug says to Kamala and she nods, continuing to pet the German Shepherd.

"And yeah, it's going to be fun to see everyone! I haven't seen Cory, Amy, Kirsten or Chuck in a month or so!" Kamala says to Doug and Doug sits up on the couch.

"Oh that's fun, babe. We'll get to introduce Devi to his Uncle Coco, Auntie Kirsten, Auntie Elizabeth, Auntie Amy, Auntie Nancy and Uncle Chuck!" Doug says as he stands up and rocks a now sleepy Devi.

Kamala smiles and admires her two favorite boys together. Kamala still can't believe she is even a mom to a beautiful and healthy baby boy.

"When are they coming over? And do you need me to help prepare anything?" Doug asks Kamala as he softly strokes Devi's cheek as Devi falls asleep in his arms.

"I think Nancy and Chuck are coming to visit us first, since they have a few meetings to go to this afternoon. Nancy told me she and Chuck will be here in about an hour. Cory, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth will come visit us after that. And no, I think Cory is bringing all of us food, you know how he is with his food." Kamala says with a chuckle as Major lays his head on Kamala's lap.

"Okay baby, just tell me if you need anything from me. I'm gonna go and put Devi in his crib so he can have a nap before they come over." Doug walks to Devi's nursery and places him in his crib.

When Doug returns to the living room, he sees Kamala curled up on the couch with Major.

"Aww, aren't you two so cute." Doug says as he sits down next to Kamala on the couch.

Kamala smiles at Doug and carefully lays her head on his chest.

"Major is so cuddly. I know what Jill means by calling him a cuddle bug." Kamala says as she and Doug both chuckle and smile at Major.

"But Jill and Joe are going to be upset with us letting Major on our furniture. They don't allow it at their house." Kamala says as she pets Major and Doug chuckles lightly at his wife's comments.

"I think they'll be alright with it, honey. Besides we don't have to tell them, it's not like Major will tell on us." Doug says and strokes her hair causing Kamala to smile.

"Do you want to pick out a cute outfit for Devi for later? I know Cory got us some cute stuff for Devi, maybe we should try one of those?" Doug asks as he hugs Kamala from behind, holding her and placing his chin on her shoulder.

"Sounds good to me, honey! After everybody leaves I want to call Jill and Joe and see how Jacob is doing. Did I tell you he is in the NICU?" Kamala asks Doug.

"The NICU? Oh my goodness, is he okay?" Doug asks, shocked at the NICU news.

"He is fine, he just has some jaundice so they are putting him under those blue lights for a day or two." Kamala says to Doug.

"Oh okay, it still seems a little scary with the NICU." Doug says, thankful that everything went completely fine with Devi and Kamala during the delivery.

"I can't wait for Devi to meet Jacob, our little buddy will have such a good friend." Doug says, reminiscing about how good it felt knowing Cole and Ella had each other and imagining the relationship Devi will have with Jacob.

"I know! Devi and Jacob are going to be best friends and kind of like brothers too! It is going to be so fun having two babies in the administration!" Kamala says to Doug happily.

Major sees a squirrel outside in the tree and he jumps out of Kamala's lap to runs to the window to see it, causing the squirrel to run away.

"Major! Shh! Shh! Shh!" Doug says as he panics, thinking Major is going to wake Devi up.

"Dougie, Devi is use to all of these noises. Don't worry about it. Babies are suppose to expose to alot of noises so they can sleep through it, remember?" Kamala says to Doug with a chuckle.

"Yeah baby, I do remember." Doug answers Kamala playfully, still diverting some of his attention to Major who now tries to climb up into the window.

"Major, down! Good boy!" Kamala says as Major listens to her command quickly.

"How about I go out with Major for a while to throw some balls and you can get some rest?" Doug caresses her shoulders as he talks to Kamala.

"You need all the sleep and relaxation you can get, baby. Growing a baby is hard work and being Vice President is hard work and you did them both at the same time. I'm so proud of you." Doug says, causing Kamala to smile ear to ear.

"Come on Major, let's go out to the garden! See if we can find some balls" Doug says to the energetic German Shepherd.

Major gets super excited and wags his tail so fast Kamala thinks he's going to knock something over.

"Let's give Mama Kamala some rest before we get visitors. And get some energy out of you at the same time. You're a good boy aren't you, Major?" Doug pats Major on the head before they head out into the garden!

Doug and Major both play outside for a little bit while Kamala rests on the couch for a while!

After resting on the couch for about thirty five minutes, Kamala fixes her hair some before going into Devi's nursery to get him dressed in a onesie that Cory bought for him.

*Devi's outfit*

Doug and Major both come inside and Doug changes his clothes into something more nicer for visitors.

"You could have kept what you had on, Dougie." Kamala says with a cheeky grin walking into the master bedroom holding a sleepy Devi  in her arms.

"But I wanted to look good, I can't seem like I've totally lost all sense of how I look just because we had a baby. Plus, I'm clearly not used to playing outside anymore, I'll need to get my workouts in if I'm going to keep up with this little guy." Doug says as he kisses Kamala on the forehead.

"Are you excited that Cory, Amy, Kirsten, Elizabeth, Nancy and Chuck are coming?" Doug asks Kamala and she happily nods in agreement as she puts Devi's pacifier back in his mouth.

"I'm sure they will all shower Devi with love when they arrive." Doug says, kissing his wife on the forehead one more time and planting a light kiss on Devi's head before heading out of their bedroom.

Kamala and Devi also leave the bedroom with Doug and the three of them all walk downstairs!

"Woof! Woof! Woof!" Major says as he jumps up and down on Doug.

"Down, bud. Down." Doug says as Major gets down before he runs around playfully.

"Are you hungry, Major? Is it lunch time? I'll make you some food! Wanna hold Devi, Dougie?" Kamala says to Major and then Doug.

"Of course!" Doug says happily as Kamala carefully hands Devi to him before she walks into the kitchen to make Major some lunch.

With Devi in his arms Doug settles down in an armchair in the living room.

"Are you excited to meet your aunts and uncles, Devi?" Doug asks his son and trails a finger from his nose to his forehead in a try to calm down the right now a bit fussy Devi.

"Just relax baby, everything is alright." Doug says softly and Devi calms down in his arms, leaving Doug staring into his sons eyes.

Doug is mesmerized by their beauty and the love he feels when he look into them. Doug had never imagined this to be possible again but he's so happy it happened, that Devi happened and that he had a child with the love of his life.

Doug was brought back to reality by Major's bark.

"Was someone excited for their lunch?" Doug asks Kamala as she emerges from the kitchen.

"I think so." Kamala says and smiles as her husband and son in the armchair.

"I think he's about to go out again." Doug says in a low voice as he feels Devi's movements in his arms slow down and relax.

"He sleeps just like you do, Dougie. It's so cute." Kamala says as she kisses Devi's forehead.

Just then, the front doorbell rings, causing Major to bark and get very excited. Devi doesn't seem phased by the barking at all, peacefully sleeping in Doug's arms.

"Do you want me to get it, honey?" Doug asks Kamala about to get up from the armchair but Kamala stops him.

"I'll get it, honey. You and Devi just relax and continue to look cute." Kamala says as she quickly kisses Doug before walking to the front door.

Meanwhile outside, Chuck and Nancy are talking about dinner plans after work.

"Honey, do you want to go to the new restaurant that is in downtown DC tonight? We haven't had a date night in a few weeks and I really miss it." Chuck says as he holds a yellow baby themed bag with many gifts that himself and Nancy bought for Devi.

"If you want to, but I don't want the press to figure us out! Not now anyway. You look very handsome, my love." Nancy says as she fixes Chuck's tie and blushes at his adorableness.

"And you look gorgeous yourself, honey." Chuck says to Nancy as he smiles at her

Chuck and Nancy quickly kiss each other as Kamala opens the front door witnessing the kiss but doesn't want to make a big deal about it.

"Nancy! Chuck! It is so good to see you guys! I've missed you both! Come in! Come in! Make yourselves at home!" Kamala says as she hugs Nancy and Chuck as they walk in.

"Woof! Woof!" Major barks happily at Nancy and Chuck.

"Major, you know who Chuck and Nancy are! Yes you do!" Kamala says in a babyfied voice at the energetic dog.

"Hi, Major! Don't nip at me now!" Nancy says as she carefully pets Major.

"He has been a good boy with Doug and I!" Kamala says with a cheeky grin.

"That is very kind of you and Doug to watch him." Chuck says with a smile.

"Doug or I didn't want him being at the White House alone while Jill and Joe are at the hospital. Major knows us and he has been doing well!" Kamala says with a big smile.

Kamala, Major, Chuck and Nancy all walk into the living room where Doug and Devi are still sitting in the armchair.

Doug looks up when he hears them come into the living room and smiles.

"Hello, Chuck and Nancy! This is Devi and he loves to meet both of you today." Doug says as he presents Devi to the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader while still seated in the armchair. Doug doesn't want to go up and risk disturbing Devi's sleep.

"Aww!" Chuck and Nancy both say in unison as they admire Devi in Doug's arms causing Kamala to chuckle at the two elders getting excited over a baby.

Doug feels proud, his beautiful baby boy is already charming two of the most powerful people in the world and he hasn't even met his Pop the president yet.

"Oh my goodness. Devi is so precious. So so so beautiful!" Nancy says as she admires Devi sleeping on Doug and gently rubs his head.

"Devi is perfect. Congratulations to you both!" Chuck says to Kamala and Doug with a smile, before fixing his glasses.

"Thank you!" Kamala and Doug both say in unison with big smiles at Chuck.

"Sit sit! Make yourselves at home!" Kamala says to Nancy and Chuck.

Kamala sits down on the couch while Nancy sits next to her and Chuck sits down on another armchair.

"Chuck and I brought Devi some gifts! We may have bought a lot!" Nancy says, causing Kamala to smile and laugh.

"She went overboard!" Chuck says playfully causing Doug chuckle.

"I love spoiling babies, Chuck! You know that!" Nancy says playfully smacking Chuck's leg.

"Nancy! Chuck! You two shouldn't have! We appreciate all of the love you guys have for Devi! You didn't have to!" Kamala says to Nancy and Chuck.

"We wanted to! Devi is very much loved by the house, the senate and the world!" Nancy says with a cheeky grin.

"Little Devi says thank you for all the gifts! You really shouldn't have, this is to much." Doug says as he eyes the big yellow bag.

"Well, it isn't every day a Bay Area sister in missions for this nation has a baby so I needed to spoil him a bit." Nancy says with a chuckle.

"You sure did!" Doug says as he stands up and walks over for the couch.

"We better get over here if you're going to open your presents, Devi." Doug says as he sits down at the couch next to Kamala and Kamala smiles.

"Nancy, Chuck do you two want to hold him? You definitely can!" Kamala asks Nancy and Chuck with a smile.

"I do!" Nancy says with excitement as she quickly puts hand sanitizer on her hands.

Doug carefully hands Devi to Nancy and Nancy instantly cradles the newborn. Nancy absolutely loves children, having five children and nine grandchildren herself.

"My goodness! Look how much hair he has! It's so soft too!" Nancy says, softly rubbing Devi's head, admiring the newborn.

"He has more hair than I do!" Chuck says as he chuckles causing Nancy, Kamala and Doug all laugh.

"Did he give you heartburn? My son Paul had so much hair I was nearly sick with heartburn!" Nancy says to Kamala.

"Every day I had heart burn near the end! So I was happy he was born with hair and not bald." Kamala says jokingly causing Doug, Kamala and Chuck all laugh.

One by one, Kamala and Doug open all of the gifts that Nancy and Chuck have brought!

"Thank you so so much! A lot of these things we actually needed more of!" Kamala says to Nancy and Chuck.

"You are very welcome! Now Nancy can't wait to buy presents for Jill and Joe's son." Chuck says as he chuckles.

"The more babies the merrier for me! They make me young!" Nancy says as she continues to hold Devi.

"He is such a little angel." Nancy says and smiles at Doug and Kamala.

Doug can feel his cheeks light up from the compliment, he's just so proud of his son. Kamala also smiles at the compliments.

"He's been a very good little boy, we've been able to sleep almost the whole night already." Doug says and places his hand on Kamala's knee.

"Yes! And he is gaining weight so the doctor said we can let him sleep through the whole night if he wants to, which is wonderful." Kamala says to Nancy and Chuck.

"Devi has the best mother in the world, no wonder he's acting like a little angel." Doug says to Kamala and Kamala blushes.

"Oh stop!" Kamala says as he smiles at Doug and Doug smiles at Kamala.

Devi stirs awake from his little nap and looks up at Nancy's face. He is mesmerized by her gold necklace and lays in her arms looking at it.

"Looks like our little angel already has a taste for pricy jewelry, this'll be expensive or us." Doug says to Kamala and chuckles lightly.

"He loves to look at my pearl necklaces I always wear! And he also likes the necklace Doug bought me that has Cole, Ella and Devi's names on it." Kamala says to Nancy and Chuck.

"I never seen a newborn baby wide awake like this before! All of the babies I know sleep all of the time!" Chuck says as he smiles.

"Devi sleeps all day usually but he usually wakes up for thirty minutes or so!" Kamala says happily.

"Hi, Devi! Hi!" Nancy says as she looks at Devi and smiles down at him.

After an hour, Nancy and Chuck leave to go back to work for the day.

Kamala takes them to the door and hugs them goodbye while Doug changes Devi diaper. Devi had a poop explosion but luckily his onesie didn't get messed up.

Kamala walks back into the living room and sees Doug changing Devi's diaper with Major licking Devi's head.

"Dougie! When I opened the door to let Nancy and Chuck in they were kissing! Since when were they a couple? I need details! I hope Cory, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth have answers because I need some!" Kamala says with a chuckle.

"Honey, I'm sure you'll get all of your details. It ain't for nothing, you've been shushed by Chuck before." Doug says to her with a sexy wink and Kamala chuckles at him.

"So, you think I'm somewhat of a gossip girl?" Kamala asks Doug playfully with a cheeky smile.

"No honey, I'm just saying that if there's information to get you have the best gang to get it from. And they're coming in ten minutes so you don't have to wait for long." Doug says to Kamala with a giggle.

"I know Nancy and Chuck's marriages weren't doing well, especially Chuck's. Nancy told me about it when Joe did his speech to Congress a few months ago. I always thought they would be a cute couple but I never thought they would actually get together!" Kamala says as she picks up Devi and holds him.

Major cuddles with Doug and Doug hugs him close causing Kamala to awe loudly. Doug looks up at Kamala, smiling at her.

"What about a dog, wouldn't it be cute? Devi and a puppy, giving him another playmate!" Doug says, looking at Kamala with puppy eyes as he hold Major closer to him.

"I don't know, Dougie. We travel a lot for work. Maybe when Devi is a little older we can think about it." Kamala says causing Doug with frown a little but he understands.

Devi sneezes three times, causing Kamala and Doug to both chuckle and smile at him.

"Bless you! Your little sneezes are so so cute." Kamala says as she rocks Devi in her arms.

Major happily licks Doug's cheek, causing Doug to laugh.

Ten minutes later, the doorbell rings again and it is Cory, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth!

"I can get the door this time, you settle down with Devi and I go get them!" Doug says happily to Kamala as she smiles and sits down while he walks towards the front door.

"Hi! everyone and welcome! Come on in!" Doug says as he hugs Cory, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth one by one.

"Kamala is in the living room with Devi, I didn't want her to stand when he was so peaceful." Doug says causing all four of them to awe.

Cory, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth all follow Doug into the living room where Kamala has settled on the couch with Devi in her arms.

"Hi, brother! Hi, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth! It is so good to see you guys!" Kamala says happily as Cory, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth all sit down.

"Hi, Kamala! You look great! After I had my boys I was looking a mess!" Kirsten says causing everybody to laugh.

"Aw, thank you! I feel great!" Kamala says as she kisses Devi's cheek.

"Hi, sister! I can't believe you are a mom now and I am an uncle!" Cory says proudly.

"Yes! You are Uncle Coco! And you three ladies are Aunties!" Kamala says to Cory and then Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth.

"Aw, he is so adorable! Look at him!" Amy says as she admires the newborn.

"He looks like such a little sweetheart." Elizabeth says with a grin.

"He looks just like his Dad! Aww!" Kirsten says as she smiles at Devi.

"He is a lucky little kid, he got my looks." Doug says sarcastically as he sits down next to Kamala on the couch.

"Hopefully he'll grow up to get more of his mama's looks." Doug says and strokes Devi's head.

"He'll grow up to be a beautiful boy whoever he takes after in the future." Elizabeth says as she bends over to stroke Devi's hair.

"He is such a handsome little man!" Amy says with a big smile.

Kamala and Doug both smile at each other as they hear all of sweet compliments about their baby boy!

"I brought some food for lunch for all of us to enjoy! Let's eat!" Cory says causing Doug, Kamala, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth to smile.

"Aww, thank you, brother! This food looks really good!" Kamala says happily to Cory.

"Thank you, Cory! We really appreciate it!" Doug says to Cory with a grin.

"Cory, you are the best!" Amy says happily and Kirsten and Elizabeth nod in agreement!

Kamala puts Devi in his swing to sleep and so she can eat using both of her hands.

Doug and Kamala bring over paper plates, napkins and silverware for everyone to use!

Doug, Kamala, Cory, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth all enjoy their lunch together while they chit chat!

"Before all of you begin to hold Devi after we finish eating, I have a serious question!" Kamala says to Cory, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth.

"What is it?" Cory, Amy and Elizabeth all say in unison to Kamala.

"Yes! What is it?" Kirsten asks Kamala.

"When we're you guys going to tell me Chuck and Nancy were an item?" Kamala asks Cory, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth playfully.

Doug blushes from his wife's straightforwardness with her best friends. Doug isn't used to gossip like this happening in front of him, he usually just gets the juicy parts at home later.

"Well, Cory seem to have known for a long time." Elizabeth says playfully tattling on Cory as he gasps loudly. 

"I don't know anything but why would Nancy go for Chuck? She could pull way better than that if she wanted to leave Paul." Elizabeth continues causing, Kirsten to blush and giggle. 

"I caught them in his NYC office a few months ago, just kissing. I didn't want to say anything, I know Chuck has had some marital problems." Kirsten explained to Kamala.

"The only reason I asked is because I when they visited us earlier they were flirting with each other while they waited for me to answer the door. When I opened the front door they were kissing." Kamala says to Cory, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth.

"And they did say that the baby gifts for Devi were from the both of them like a couple would say." Doug realizes and Kamala nods.

"I knew Chuck's marriage wasn't doing the best when Joe did his first big speech to Congress a few months ago but she was hush hush about hers when I asked about her and Paul." Kamala says to Cory, Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth.

"All I know is that they haven't officially came out as a couple to the public but Chuck told some of us in the Senate just a few days ago! Chuck says they have been a couple since June, but I think it's been longer than that!" Cory explains to Kamala and Doug.

"I think so too! I think it's been since February at least! I remember Nancy got a lot of pretty flowers from an admire named "C". Chuck thought he was slick." Kirsten says playfully.

"Why is it such a secret I wonder?" Amy asks out loud.

"The only thing I can think of is because they don't want the republicans or the media to judge them for their long marriages ending. I also think they don't want Republicans or the media to make them resign from their jobs for being a couple. I don't think they can make them resign though." Elizabeth says to everyone.

Doug is in shock by the detail in this gossip. Doug wonders how these people can keep up with everything happening in the country and gossip like this at the same time because he sure can't.

"You're all very observant on detail." Doug says to the group with a light chuckle

"Well that's kind of our job being in Congress. We need to be observant on detail if we want to catch everything the Republicans try to lure us into." Elizabeth says to Doug playfully.

"That does make some sense." Doug says, still trying to wrap his head around the fact that Nancy and Chuck seem to be a couple now.

"So what would happen if they went official?" Doug asked the group generally.

"They'd probably get a lot of crap from the Republicans but I think it's fine constitutionally. The senate and house aren't interlocked in a way that would make it unethical and Chuck isn't a part of the order of succession to the presidency. So I assume it would be fine." Amy answers.

"Oh, I can't wait to tell Joe and Jill about this later! I don't think Joe has any idea about this." Kamala says to everyone.

"Joe always joked with Chuck and Nancy about their work chemistry!" Kirsten says as she chuckles loudly.

"How is Jill and the baby by the way?" Cory asks Kamala curiously.

"They are both doing well! I talked to Jill yesterday and Jill thinks are will all be home by the end of the week." Kamala says to Cory.

"Major has been having out with us while Jill and Joe are at the hospital with baby Jacob." Doug says with a grin.

"Major is such a sweet dog!" Elizabeth says as she smiles at Major who is sleeping by the screen door, feeling the week son.

"We need to have a baby shower for Jill!" Amy says happily.

"Yes! We really do!" Kirsten cheers with a smile.

"Oh lord, another party to go to!" Cory says playfully causing all of the ladies to laugh.

"I think Ashley, Hallie, Melissa and the three older grandkids are planning a small party for baby Jacob and Jill when they come home. It's going to be really cute." Kamala says with a grin.

After Doug, Kamala, Cory, Amy, Elizabeth and Kirsten finish their lunch, it is now time for Cory, Amy, Elizabeth and Kirsten to hold Devi!

Cory, Amy, Elizabeth and Kirsten each take turns holding Devi, admiring his features and cute little face!

Doug looks on from his corner of the couch, he finds it nearly impossible to be this proud. He can't remember feeling this strongly for Cole and Ella when they were born. Maybe he feels this instant love and pride because he knows what it's about now now that he is older.

"He's the cutest baby I've ever seen. He's the perfect mix of you two, with Doug's features and your hair Kamala. This is a lucky little boy." Cory says when it's finally his turn to hold Devi.

Doug and Kamala both smile at Cory's comments.

"He really is. He's going to bless you and us with so much joy over the next couple of years. We're all so lucky to be his aunts and uncle." Amy says with a big smile.

Major walks over and is happily pet by Elizabeth and Kirsten. Major is enjoying all of the love while being at Kamala and Doug's house.

"Sweet pup! Your mom and dad will be home soon!" Elizabeth says to Major.

"He has been really good! The media gives him such a bad rap." Doug says to everyone.

"He really does! Major is a sweetheart." Elizabeth says as she continues to pet Major.

"Poor Chuck didn't even get a turn to hold Devi. Nancy hogged him the whole time." Kamala says causing Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth to all chuckle.

"I was afraid these three were going to be like that!" Cory says playfully causing Amy, Kirsten and Elizabeth to all gasp.

"We wouldn't be like that, Cory!" Amy says, jokingly with Cory.

Cory continues to hold his nephew, excited to be an uncle. Devi wiggles around before sucking on his fingers.

"Someone is getting hungry!" Kirsten says noticing the signs of a hungry newborn.

"I'll go make him a bottle." Doug says to everyone and goes out to the kitchen causing Kamala to smile.

"Thank you, honey." Kamala says as Doug leaves the living room.

"He is the best dad ever." Kamala says causing Amy, Elizabeth, Cory and Kirsten to all awe.

"So what's it like you think, being a mom of a newborn?" Kirsten asks Kamala as she focuses her gaze on Devi, not being able let him go out of her sight.

"Honestly it's been so wonderful. I'm loving every minute of it. And it's so nice with Doug already having kids that he knows what to do! I know what to do since I helped Maya when Meena was a baby but it's different when it's your own baby." Kamala says to everyone.

Devi begins to cry causing Cory to do a silly face. Cory isn't a dad yet so he doesn't have much experience with babies.

"Uh oh! What did I do?" Cory says as he hands Devi to Kamala.

"You didn't do anything, don't worry! He is just getting hungry. It's almost time for him to eat. I've been pumping so much milk for him!" Kamala says as she calms Devi down while Doug makes his bottle.

"That's great! I pumped a lot with my boys too!" Kirsten says with a smile.

"I breastfeed him some but I want him used to bottles so Doug can feed him when I'm working." Kamala says

"I'm sure some republicans are having a fit with you having maternity leave but don't listen to them. You deserve it just like everybody else." Amy says as Elizabeth nods in agreement.

"Joe and Jill have seriously been the best honestly. Joe doesn't want me to do anything but obviously I read the briefings and such!" Kamala says with smile.

Devi begins to fuss again and Doug walks in with his bottle.

"Here you go, baby! Shh, shh, it's okay." Kamala says as she begins to feed Devi his bottle.

Devi instantly calms down and drinks his bottle.

"Aww! Do you feel better now little buddy?" Doug asks his son as Devi continues to eat from his bottle.

Doug caresses Devi's little feet with his thumb as Devi finishes the bottle.

"I can burp him if you want, honey" Doug says and Kamala gives him Devi. Doug stands up and takes Devi on his shoulder, doing small rocking movements while he strokes Devi's back.

"That's an attentive and caring father, just how we like them" Amy says playfully to Elizabeth and Kirsten and they both nod and chuckle as Doug continues burping his son.

"Devi looks so little in Doug's arms!" Cory says with a smile.

"Thank you again for bringing lunch, Cory! We really appreciate it!" Kamala says and Doug nods.

"Of course! It's the least I can do!" Cory says to Kamala and Doug.

"Yes, thank you for lunch for all of us too!" Elizabeth says as Amy and Kirsten nod in agreement.

Devi burps loudly causing everyone to chuckle loudly.

"Little piggy! Yes you are!" Kamala says in a babyfied voice as she giggles.

Doug, Kamala, Cory, Amy, Kirstin and Elizabeth all talk with each other for another hour before Cory, Amy, Kirstin and Elizabeth all leave to go to work!

Kamala, Doug, Devi and Major all enjoy the rest of the day together! :)
