*Ivy Shyamala Emhoff is here! Who's excited? Ivy's birth chapter will be coming!! It still needs to be written but it's coming, I promise! I have a few chapters in mind that I wanted to come out before Ivy's birth but I wanted to write this now 💕 Same with the Joe & Jill book, I'll have Ivy in some chapters and then write some of the chapters I wanted to write prior to Ivy's arrival! Kamala and Doug both post this same video reel on their official Instagram account

The video reel starts off with some maternity pictures Kamala and Doug took a few weeks before Ivy was born.

The next part of the video is of Kamala holding Ivy and the camera slightly showing Ivy but not too much so everyone has to wait until her close up pictures are released.

You see Ivy's fingers, toes, her head which is full of dark hair and her green hair bow.

During this clip, Kamala rub's Ivy's head while smiling at Doug and Doug is smiling back at Kamala.

Doug then kisses Ivy's head and then kisses Kamala.

The next part of the video is Devi wobbling over to Kamala with Doug and Kamala smiling down at him.

Maya helps Devi onto the hospital bed and sits him next to Kamala since Doug is holding Ivy.

Devi is seen smiling at Ivy and rubbing Ivy's head softly, causing Kamala and Doug to both proudly smile.

The next part of the video is of Kamala, Ivy, Doug and Devi all sitting on the hospital bed together. Devi is sitting on Doug's lap while Kamala is holding Ivy.

Doug and Kamala: "Hello everyone!"

Devi: "Hiiiii!"

Doug: "We just wanted to tell everyone that Miss Ivy is here and she is perfect."

Kamala smiles at Doug and at Devi before looking down at Ivy.

Devi: "Baby Eevee!"

Doug: "Yeah! That's baby Ivy! You almost have it!"

Kamala: "We are so happy to have Ivy be in our family. She is such a wonderful edition and she is already so spoiled just like her big brother."

Devi: "AAAAAA!" *does a silly face*

Doug: "We've been seeing all the comments on social media and are so touched by everyone's positivity. Thank you all so much!"

Kamala: "Yes, thank you! Oh, and by the way. Doug will be at the Congressional Baseball game tomorrow."

Doug: "But...."

Kamala: "No buts, Dougie. The game is at Nationals Park so you'll be able to come right back here afterwards. Ivy and I will be here cheering you on."

Doug smiles

Devi: "Yay!"

Kamala: "And you too! Go Daddy!"

Devi claps his hands and smiles

Doug: "Thanks a lot. Anyway, this is my first daughter in twenty three years and Cole and Ella can't wait to meet their baby sister face to face!"

Kamala smiles proudly

Kamala: "We will post more pictures and videos of Ivy soon, but for now we wanted to post this video to announce her arrival. And once again, thank you all for the love and support."

Doug: "Thank you so much! Do you wanna say bye bye, Devi?"

Devi: "Bye bye!"

Ivy yawns, causing Doug, Devi and Kamala to all smile at her. Kamala and Doug than kiss each other before the video ends

The last part of the video reel is of a picture Kamala, Doug, Devi and Ivy took as a family.

vp The @secondgentleman and I are pleased to announce the birth of our beloved and beautiful daughter, Ivy Shyamala Emhoff. Ivy was born on July 27th at 2:11am, weighing 6 pounds, 5 ounces and 19 inches long. Ivy is such an amazing addition to our family and we are so happy to be a family of 4. Both Ivy and I are doing great and we are now both home after a two day hospital stay. Both Doug and I want to thank everyone from across the country and the world for all of the good wishes, prayers and love for us during this beautiful time in our lives. More Ivy pictures will be coming soon from Doug and I, as well as Ivy's Auntie Maya, Nana Jill and Pop Joe who have been phenomenal, not saying anything until we gave permission. We love you all so much 💕

The @vp are extremely please to announce the  birth of our beautiful and beloved daughter, Ivy Shyamala Emhoff. Born July 27th at 2:11am, weighing in a 6lbs 5oz and 19 inches long. Kamala was once again a joyful warrior throughout the whole entire labor and delivery of our miracle baby girl. Ivy and Kamala are both doing fantastic and the 4 of us are resting and adjusting to our new lives at home. Devi loves his baby sister so much and is such an amazing big brother! Kamala and I both want to thank all of you for the great wishes, love and support during one of the happiest time in our lives. We appreciate all of you very much! More pictures to come soon!

secondgentleman Devi and Ivy! Devi is being very sweet with her, so far so good! They are eleven months apart so I'm not sure what to expect on happens with kids this close in age. At this stage, @coleemhoff wanted @ellaemhoff to be returned 😂

kamalaharris As Maya and Doug caught Ivy and brought her into my chest, I felt my mother's soft and sweet spirit around me. ❤️ I felt safe and in ease. Ivy's time of birth is 2:11, and the day my mother died after her courageous battle with colon cancer was February 11th. Just like Devi's time of birth being a significant date in my mother's life (Devi's time of birth was my mom's birthday). My mom giving me subtle signs of her watching over me and her two new grandbabies she would have loved and spoiled to pieces. I wish you were here.

potus Lucky number 7! I want so say biggest congratulations to @vp and @secondgentleman on the birth of their daughter and my seventh granddaughter: Ivy Shyamala Emhoff. I am a very proud dad and Pop right now. I am also thankful I tested negative for covid last night, the same night Kamala went into labor. Jill and I enjoyed babysitting our grandson and now a proud big brother Devi.

flotus @potus and I both want to send a huge congratulations to @vp and @secondgentleman on the birth of their beautiful daughter, Ivy Shyamala who was born on July 27th. We are so thankful that Joe tested negative for covid just in time for Ivy's arrival! The exact night Kamala went into labor he tested negative! Joe and I are both so excited to be grandparents again and to be Ivy's Pop and Nana. We are so blessed 💕
