*Kamala, Devi, Ella and Cole all happily celebrate Doug's birthday with him! Thank you to my best friend joebidenloving for helping me as always 🎉🎂🎊🥳 Enjoy!

October 13th, 2021

Right now, Doug is still fast asleep in bed. Doug had an alarm set at 7am so he can get up and go into the office to work on some things, but Kamala turned the alarm off before it went off.

Usually Doug has meetings with his staff on Wednesdays but since today is his birthday, Kamala canceled all of his work things as well as most of hers so they can spend time together as a family!

Also for Doug's birthday, Ella and Cole are flying in from California to spend a few days with Doug, Devi and Kamala!

Right now, Kamala and Devi are both in the kitchen and they are making Doug some special birthday pancakes!

Devi is wide awake in Kamala's arms as Kamala manages to cook the pancakes with one hand.

"Are you excited that today is Daddy's birthday, Devi? Today is Daddy's birthday! Yay!" Kamala says in a babyfied voice as Devi coos and smiles at her.

"Today is going to be such a fun day! Ella and Cole are flying in and we are going to have birthday cake and presents!" Kamala says as Devi continues to coo.

"You are such a cutie! I think Daddy is going to love the shirt we made!" Kamala says to Devi as she places the finished pancakes on a plate Kamala decorated.

*Doug's breakfast*

"Okay Dev, let's go see Daddy! Let's go see if he is awake!" Kamala says as Devi coos and smiles at Kamala.

Kamala manages to hold the breakfast tray with Doug's pancakes and coffee and Devi at the same time. Kamala has learned that as a mom you have to  multitask!

Kamala carefully walks up the stairs with the tray in her hand while Devi stays relatively still in her arms.

"Good boy Devi! We've got this." Kamala says and smiles at Devi as she takes the last few steps up the stairs.

"Here we go, baby. Now we get to surprise Daddy! How exciting!" Kamala says and Devi looks up at her with big eyes and a smile.

Kamala quietly pushes the master bedroom door open and finds Doug still fast asleep in their bed.

Devi coos as they walk towards the bed. Kamala can see Doug slowly waking up when they get closer as if he can sense their presence.

Kamala sets the breakfast tray down on Doug's bedside table, before placing a light kiss on Doug's forehead. Kamala strokes his hair as Doug's eyes slowly open.

"Happy birthday, baby." Kamala says in a soft low voice and Devi squirms and coos in her arms.

"Thank you, honey. What time is it? I have to go into work. I'm probably late. My alarm didn't go off." Doug says as Kamala giggles at sleepy Doug.

Kamala has always found a sleepy Doug to be extremely adorable.

"Not today, mister. Today is your birthday so I canceled your whole work schedule and most of mine too. Devi and I and two special guests want to spend the whole day with the birthday boy." Kamala says, kissing Doug and Doug kisses her back.

"Aw! You are too sweet, honey!" Doug says caressing Kamala's cheek and she shoots him a wink.

"I wonder who these special guests could be." Doug teases Kamala and Kamala locks her lips.

"You will see when they arrive." Kamala says and gives Doug's kiss on the cheek.

Devi smiles up at Doug when both of their eyes meet.

"Hi, my little baby boy! Hi, bud! Did you wake up with Mama today? Did you make me a birthday breakfast?" Doug says and takes Devi into his arms.

Devi smiles at Doug and coos at the sound of his voice causing Kamala to smile.

"He sure did! He was Mama's big helper this morning!" Kamala says in a babyfied voice, causing Devi to smile at her.

"Look at his big smile. He smiles just like his Mama!" Doug says as Devi lays on him and Doug hugs him close, giving him lots of kisses.

"No, he smiles just like his Daddy." Kamala says playfully, kissing Doug's cheek.

Doug sits up with Devi in his lap and he smiles at his pancakes.

"Aw, this is really cute. Thank you, Kam." Doug says smile at Kamala.

"You are very welcome! Enjoy!" Kamala says as Devi coos happily.

"Seems like we have a little pancake lover." Doug chuckles at Devi's big eyes on the pancakes.

"Just like his Daddy is." Kamala says as she sits down on her side of the bed, next to Doug and Devi.

"He will get all of my good sides." Doug says and smiles down at Devi.

"And yours too, honey." Doug adds and smiles at Kamala, causing Kamala to blush.

"Aww, you are so sweet! And come on! Try them! I added chocolate chips just for you birthday!" Kamala says and smiles at Doug.

"I wish you can try them, bud! A few more months and you can try some food!" Doug says as he takes a bite of a pancake and smiles at Devi and Kamala.

"Mmm! These are really good, Kam! Very delicious! Thank you." Doug says as he feeds Kamala a bite and she takes it.

"Mmm, they are good! And you're welcome, baby! Happy birthday. Do you feel your age?" Kamala asks playfully causing Doug to smile.

"Not one bit! Well, maybe a little. I'm more tired now a days." Doug says with a chuckle as he eats some more pancakes.

"We could blame this little guy for the tiredness." Kamala giggles and winks at Doug.

"He has such been a very good baby, but of course it is a change." Doug says and kisses Devi's head.

"He has been patient with us and our busy lives. He has been a pretty good sleeper so far too." Kamala says and leaned down to kiss Devi.

"A much better sleeper than both his big brother and big sister. Cole didn't fully sleep all night until he was seven months and Ella was four months." Doug says, reminiscing on his two older children.

Devi coos at his parents love and nestles into Doug's chest. Devi then spreads his little fingers in Doug's chest hair.

"Aww look at him. All nice and cozy with Daddy." Kamala says and leans her head on Doug's shoulder.

"He is very cozy. Ouch! Ouch! That hurts, bud. But I love it when Mama plays with my chest hair." Doug says to Kamala as he winks.

"Oh stop it! Not in front of him, Dougie!" Kamala says playfully smacking Doug.

"Kam, he will not remember any of this, don't worry." Doug says, kissing Kamala a few times.

"So, what do you want to do today, birthday boy?" Kamala asks Doug, playing with his chest hair while he finishes his pancakes.

"As long as I'm with you, I'm fine, honey." Doug says and kisses Kamala on the head.

"Oh, baby! You're so sweet! But don't you want to do something for your birthday?" Kamala asks, resting her hand on his chest.

"A little walk, maybe? Showing Devi the birds and other things outside, now that he sees and focuses more. " Doug says and pats Devi's back.

"Yes, that would be lovely. A family walk! Whatever you want birthday boy. Today is your big day." Kamala says and kisses Doug's chest.

"When will these mystery guests arrive to our house?" Doug asks as he places the plate back on his bedside table.

"They will come a bit later, but don't worry. They will be fine." Kamala says and winks at Doug.

"Is it my parents? You know they hate flying, especially my mom." Doug says, causing Kamala to laugh.

"Maybe, maybe not! I'm not spoiling the surprise, Dougie!" Kamala says as she kisses Doug's cheek.

"Doesn't Joe and Jill want to have a dinner with us? I remember Jill saying something to you a week or so back. I know Joe and Jill have been helping Howard and Ashley with the babies." Doug says and Kamala smiles.

"Yeah, Joe and Jill have been loving on those babies before Ashley and Howard take them home. And Jill does want us to come over for dinner one day. Maybe we can do that tonight if they aren't too busy." Kamala says to Doug as Devi coos.

Doug lays Devi on his back and tries to tickle Devi's stomach softly and Devi giggles a little.

"Are you a happy, little guy? Yes, you are! You love your Daddy! Yes, you do!" Kamala says to Devi as she also tries to tickle him a little on the stomach.

"Is someone else ticklish too? Let's find out if Mommy is ticklish." Doug says, launching a tickle attack on Kamala.

Kamala squeals loudly as Doug tickles her waist, causing her to quickly turn around on the bed.

"Oh careful, Mommy! We don't want you falling off the bed!" Doug says and kisses Kamala's cheek softly.

Kamala turns around and looks at Doug, blushing and smiling at him.

"Happy birthday, baby! I love you so so so much!" Kamala says and kisses Doug.

"Thank you, baby. I love you too!" Doug says and hugs Kamala tightly.

Devi then coos up at Doug and Doug picks him up, holding him close to his face. Doug gives Devi some kisses and Devi smiles happily.

"You have the cutest little smile, baby boy! Yes, you do!" Kamala says in a babyfied voice, giving Devi some kisses as well.

"Did you poop? I smell poop." Doug says as he sniffs Devi's bottom and the two month old indeed pooped.

"That's your birthday present! Just kidding! Devi and I have a few presents for you but that's for later!" Kamala says with a big cheeky smile.

"Thanks for the stinky birthday present! Let's get you all cleaned up!" Doug says to Devi.

"I have a special onesie for Devi to wear today for your birthday!" Kamala says as she walks over to her dresser and pulls it out, holding up the onesie for Doug to see!

*Devi's onesie for Doug*

"Aww, that's so cute! I love it! Let's get you dressed, Devi! Yay!" Doug says on a babyfied voice causing Devi to coo and smile.

Doug takes care of Devi into his nursery and gets him dressed, while Kamala makes the bed and cleans up after breakfast.

"Here you go, buddy! Your special outfit that Mama got you to wear on my birthday. Mama loves to spoil me and you! Yes! Yes!" Doug says as he pulls Devi onesie over his head carefully.

Doug then finds a pair of black sweat pants for Devi to wear and that match his onesie.

Kamala leans against the doorframe of Devi's nursery and happily watches Doug talking to Devi. Her heart is filled with even more love for the both of them as she takes in their strong connection.

Kamala then walks up to Doug and kisses Doug on the cheek, smiling up at him.

"I love you, baby." Kamala says and smiles at Doug, with Doug smiling back at Kamala.

"Does a walk around our yard sound good? Just out on the grounds so we can have some privacy and stay away from media if there is any outside." Doug asks Kamala and she happily nods at him.

"A walk around the house sounds really good! I could use some time stretching out my legs and exercise. Plus, Devi will get to see the birds and the other animals outside!" Kamala says and pats Devi's legs and smiles at him.

"Well, let me put some clothes on. I can't walk outside with just my boxers on." Doug says, picking up Devi from the changing table and handing him to Kamala.

"You smell so clean! Yes, yes yes!" Kamala says as she fixes Devi's hair that was sticking up.

"Oops! I forgot to fix his hair! He has more hair than I do!" Doug says, causing Kamala to laugh loudly.

"No, he doesn't! And you can walk outside in your boxers if you want, Daddy. I really like seeing you like this." Kamala says, causing Doug to giggle and blush.

"And I like seeing you with no bra on, Mama." Doug whispers to Kamala seductively causing her to blush.

"Uh oh! I need to put on a bra before the media talks about my breasts. You know Fox News will call me some type of name." Kamala says to Doug and Doug laughs loudly.

Kamala and Doug get some lounging clothes on before they go on their walk around their house!

"Look at the bird, Devi! He is flying! Look!" Doug says excitedly when they step outside, Devi is happy Doug's arms enjoying the sights and sounds.

Devi coos in the warm autumn sunshine and Doug and Kamala both smile at him.

"I'll go get his stroller." Kamala says and disappears to return just a moment later pushing Devi's stroller.

"Do you want to lay down, big boy?" Kamala asks Devi and strokes his head.

"I think he does. He seems a bit sleepy." Doug says and places Devi in the stroller.

Kamala and Doug begin to walk around the grounds of the Naval Observatory.

Kamala and Doug stop when they reach the tree that Doug put up a plaque on for Kamala on Valentine's Day.

"Look at this Devi! This was Daddy's Valentine's Day present for me! When your a little older we can have some fun picnics here." Kamala says and strokes Devi's leg in the stroller.

"I still can't believe that we have a baby, Kam. It is such a dream come true for us." Doug says happily to Kamala and Kamala smiles back at Doug.

"It sure is, Dougie. It sure is. Devi is such a dream come true and such an amazing baby. We are so lucky." Kamala says as she hugs and kisses Doug a few times.

Doug, Devi and Kamala continue their family walk around the Naval Observatory before they walk to the front door and see Cole and Ella!

"Happy birthday, Doug!" Cole says with a smile.

"Happy birthday, Dad!" Ella says with a big cheeky smile.

"Hi, kiddos! Come here! Come here!" Doug says and holds his arms out to hug both Cole and Ella tightly.

Cole and Ella both walk over to Doug and they both hug their dad happily.

All three of them hug each other tightly before Ella releases her grip to dive into Devi's stroller.

"Hi, baby! Your big sister has missed you! Yes, she has! I missed you so so much! I love you baby brother" Ella says in a babyfied voice as she carefully picks up Devi out of his stroller and holds him close.

"Hi, Momala! I'm sorry for my uncivilized little sister's behavior." Cole says with a chuckle and hugs Kamala.

"It is fine, Cole! I know you and Ella both love Devi and I am very glad you two do! And Devi loves you both as well! I am fine being number two today." Kamala says with a chuckle and strokes Cole's arm before she hugs Cole again.

"I'm sorry! Hi, Momala! I love you too!" Ella says with apologetic eyes.

"It's fine, baby! I am so glad you love Devi so much because he loves you and Cole very much." Kamala says with a smile to reassure Ella before she hugs her close.

"I am so glad you guys are here." Doug says with a big smile and puts his hands on Cole and Ella's shoulders.

"Surprise! These two were the special guests I talked about this morning." Kamala says as Doug chuckles.

"I had a feel it was you two! I had a feeling it was either you two or grandma and grandpa." Doug says with a chuckle and a big smile.

Ella continues to hold Devi and gives him lots of kisses. Devi smiles at Ella causing Ella to cheer.

"He knows how to smile now?" Ella asks Doug and Kamala and Kamala nods at Ella with a smile. 

"Yes, he does! He can giggle too!" Kamala says to Ella and Cole.

"Wow, Devi has gotten so big since the last time I was here!" Cole says as he smiles at his baby brother and Devi smiles back at him.

"Babies grow super fast within the first year of their life!" Doug says, so happy that all of his children are together for the day.

"Let's all head inside and hang out for a while! We can open presents later and then cake! We are still waiting to see if Jill and Joe want us to come for dinner." Kamala says to Cole and Ella.

Kamala, Ella, Devi, Cole and Doug all walk into the house and sit in the living room together.

Ella continues to hold Devi in her arms and Cole sits down beside her and strokes Devi's hair.

"His hair is so soft." Cole says with a cute sigh, eyes focused on his baby brother.

"I know, I wished I had hair like him." Kamala chuckles and smiles at all three kids together.

"I'll just go get the presents, make yourself comfortable on the couch, birthday boy." Kamala says and smiles at Doug.

"Will do, honey" Doug says and gives Kamala a kiss before she goes up the stairs to get Doug's birthday presents.

"These two are from Sam and I, these two are from Cole and Greenley and these few here are from Grandma and Grandpa." Ella says to Doug as Devi coos loudly.

"Devi, don't interrupt your sister! And oh my gosh so many presents! You guys shouldn't have." Doug says with a cheeky smile.

"Leave Devi alone he is fine! He is my favorite brother." Ella says kissing Devi's cheek once more.

"We can't buy you nothing, Dad! That's awkward to do that." Cole says causing Doug to laugh.

"Oh we brought Momala's birthday presents too from all of us!" Ella says with a grin.

"If we go to the White House for dinner, we will see Ashley, Howard and their baby girls, Eugenia and Bonny.

"That was a cool secret they did, keeping one of the girls hidden!" Cole says with a grin.

"How did she hold two babies in there? She was so small!" Ella says with a chuckle.

"I'm not sure! But they are really cute! Joe and Jill are so happy." Doug says with a grin.

"How is Jacob doing?" Ella asks Doug curiously.

"He is doing great! He is getting chunky, which is good because he has been a smaller baby for a while." Doug says as Kamala walks back into living room with all of Doug's birthday presents.

"Here, we have all the gifts for the birthday boy." Kamala says with a big smile as she puts down the many birthday bags at the living room floor.

"This is really too much, Kam. Thank you!" Doug says and stands up to kiss Kamala.

"You've been so good, loving and helpful this whole entire year, Dougie! I wanted you to feel really special today!" Kamala says and gives Doug another kiss.

"I certainly do!" Doug says and picks up one of the birthday bags.

As Doug opens and admires his birthday presents, Devi starts to fuss in Ella's arms.

"It's okay baby. I'm here, I'm here. I love you." Ella tries to calm Devi, to no success.

"Here let me try." Cole says and holds out his arms to take Devi from Ella.

"Yeah, you try.." Ella says sarcastically as she hands over Devi to Cole.

Cole cradles Devi up in his arms and kisses his baby brother on the forehead. Devi calms down and makes himself comfortable in Cole's arms causing Ella's mouth drops in astonishment.

"Wow, you did it." Ella says with clear surprise in her voice.

"I told you I could sis." Cole says with a proud smile on his face.

"Devi just wanted some Cole cuddles! Aww, he loves you both so so much." Kamala says happily to Cole and Ella.

"He looks sleepy." Cole says as he rocks Devi in his arms.

"I hope he isn't having sleep regression. That usually happens at one or two months old then a big one at four months due to growth spurts." Doug says out loud.

"I don't think he is in a sleep regression. I just think all of the excitement from your birthday is causing Devi to stay up. He doesn't want to miss anything!" Kamala says causing Cole and Ella to both laugh.

Doug also laughs and smiles at Kamala, Cole, Ella and Devi as he continues to open up all of his birthday presents!

"Aww! Did you make this shirt, Devi? Did you make this with Mama?" Doug asks Devi as Devi coos softly.

"We made this in my office! Jill actually helped me because I couldn't hold him and put his hands on the shirt!" Kamala says with a chuckle.

"Aww, did Nana help you too? You are such a lucky little boy and I am so lucky to have you." Doug says to Devi and gets up off of the couch to kiss the half asleep infant on the forehead.

Doug then gives Kamala a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you, baby. This is the best birthday ever." Doug says and holds Kamala in his arms.

"You're welcome, honey. I love you" Kamala says stroking Doug's cheek.

"I love you too." Doug says, giving Kamala another sweet kiss.

"Oh my God! Get a room you two!" Ella exclaims with a chuckle.

"We're just happy and in love, Ella." Doug teases Ella as he squeezes Kamala into a hug.

Kamala laughs loudly at the playful bickering and smiles, hugging Doug tightly.

"Do I need to remind you that you too are in a relationship, Ella?" Doug adds and chuckles at Ella's reaction.

"That doesn't mean I want to see that, Dad!" Ella says and chuckles at her dad.

"Shh, shh you guys. Quiet down. Devi's finally asleep." Cole says and tries to hush his family as he holds a sleeping Devi in his arms.

"Look at that. He fell asleep on his big brother. So sweet. I know he loves you guys so much. He smiles every time I show Devi your pictures." Kamala says, causing Ella and cole to smile.

"I literally show all of my friends Devi's pictures because he is so stinking cute." Ella says as she softly rubs Devi's head.

"Oh, Jill texted. She wants us to come over for dinner. Do you want to do that Dougie?" Kamala asks Doug.

"Sure! That sounds like fun! Jill and the Biden's are family after all! What time is the dinner?" Doug asks Kamala.

"Five o'clock! We have time to hang out and let Devi take his nap." Kamala says with a grin.

Kamala, Doug, Cole, Ella and Devi all hang out for a few hours before they head to the White House for dinner with the Biden's!

Doug had a wonderful birthday with his family! :)
