July 27th, 2022, 8am

"Let's go bye byes! Let's go!" Naomi says as she holds Devi while Jill holds Jacob as they begin to walk out of the residence and over to the elevator.

"Ba baaa!" Devi yells with excitement, causing Jill and Naomi to chuckle.

"Yeah! You are going to meet your baby sister, Ivy and see your Mama, Daddy and Auntie Maya!" Naomi says to Devi.

"Aaaaa!" Jacob yells happily.

"You have something to say too, Jakey? Hmm? Say bye bye, Willow and Charlie! Bye bye, Major and Commader! We will be home soon!" Jill says as Jacob waves his arm at the Biden pets.

*Devi and Jacob's outfits*

"Do you have Devi's bag, Nana?" Naomi asks Jill.

"Yes! I have Devi's bag and the gifts for Kamala, Doug and Ivy! I got the boys, Naomi. You can stay here with Peter." Jill says, kissing Naomi's cheek.

"No no! I'll help you take them downstairs. Right boys? Do you wanna see Pop and Dad?" Naomi says to Jill, Devi and Jacob.

"Da da!" Jacob squeals with happiness.

"Op!" Devi says with excitement.

"You cute boys! Let's go!" Naomi says as the boys both smile at her.

The four get into the elevator and head down to the first floor of the White House. Sure enough, Joe is right there when the doors open, all dressed and ready to meet his newest grandchild.

"Good morning!" Joe says as he picks Jacob up from Jill and kisses Naomi on the cheek.

"Good morning, Pop!" Naomi says with a big smile.

"Morning!" Jill says happily as she kisses Joe on the side of his cheek.

Naomi places Devi down and Devi begins to wander and run around.

"Aaaaaaa!" Devi says as he runs around Naomi.

"Hi, buddy! You get to meet your baby sissy today and see Mommy and Daddy! Oh and your Auntie Maya! Are you excited?" Joe asks Devi and Devi smiles up at Joe

"Ba ba ba gaaaa!" Devi yells as he stands close to Joe.

"I think he is excited! I got Devi's bag as well as all of the gifts we bought for Ivy, Kamala and Doug." Jill says showing Joe the two big bags she is carrying, causing Joe to chuckle.

"Jilly, you are bringing all of them? I thought we were going to give them a gift a day or something like that." Joe says with a smile.

"Yes! I couldn't decide which gift to bring today so why not all of them. I just love spoiling babies and everyone in general." Jill says as Joe picks up Devi as well.

"I'll hold a bag for you, Nana." Naomi says and Jill grins, handing Naomi the big ole gift bag.

"Thank you, sweetheart. Pop has his hands full!" Jill says as she smiles at Joe walking in circles, causing the boys to laugh.

"Nom nom!" Jacob says, calling for Naomi.

"Yes, Jakey!" Naomi says, looking at her baby uncle.

"Baaa!" Jacob says, pointing outside, indicating that he wants Naomi to come along.

"Naomi will come! She and Peter will come right behind us, okay? We all can't fit in the car." Joe tries to explain to the eleven month old.

Jacob pouts when he understands what's happening, causing Naomi to smile at his adorable little pout.

"Jakey, I promise Peter and I will be right behind you. I won't be far." Naomi says as she stands on her tippy toes and kisses Jacob on the cheek and then Devi.

"Come on you two. We gotta go see baby Ivy!" Joe says with excitement.

"Yay!" Devi and Jacob say as they clap both of their hands.

"Yes! Let's go! We need to hurry up before the press finds out! I'm surprised it hasn't!" Jill says with a smile.

Jill, Joe, Jacob and Devi all manage to get into their waiting van and small presidential motorcade without detection from the press.

Naomi hands Jill Devi's bag and peeks into the van, smiling at Jacob and Devi and blowing kisses at them.

"Bye, Devi and Jakey! See you two later!" Naomi says in a babyfied voice.

"Bye!" Jacob says as he waves, saying a new word!

"Jakey! You said bye! Good boy!" Jill says with lots of excitement.

"Bye bye!" Devi says with a wave as well.

"You two, Devi! Look at you two learning new words! Smart cookies!" Joe says as he puts his aviators on.

"Ba Ba!" Devi and Jacob say as they wave their hands and the presidential motorcade drives off.

After a short drive, the four make it to Walter Reed. With Secret Service in tow, they all take the elevator to where the birthing center is!

"Let's go on the elevator!" Joe says as he holds Devi and a balloon that says "It's A Girl" along with Devi's bag on his back.

"Eeeee!" Devi says as he claps his hands.

"Ba baaa!" Jacob says as he gets excited.

"Yeah! You see all of the buttons? There are nine of them! One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and nine!" Jill says as she points and counts the elevator buttons.

Joe, Devi, Jacob and Jill all get on the elevator along with two secret service men and it's a little tight.

"Look, we get to see us going up! Weeee!" Joe says to the boys, causing them to giggle loudly.

Soon enough, they all make it to the floor where Kamala's room is. After greeting the two agents posted outside Kamala's room, Joe, Jacob, Jill, and Devi come inside and see her, Doug, and Maya talking.

"Hi, Mama!" Jill says as she walks over to Kamala and gives her a hug.

"Hi! Were you able to get some sleep?" Kamala asks her in response with a laugh.

"Kinda. Didn't go to sleep until Ivy was here. Once you called me I went to sleep." Jill says while she yawns.

"Congrats, Buddy!" Joe says as he shakes Doug's hand and hugs him.

"Thanks so much. Super excited to be a girl dad again!" Doug says with a smile.

"Aaaaaa!" Devi yells as he reaches for Maya.

"Hey, pumpkin! You're a big brother now! Yay!" Maya says happily as Joe passes him to her. She gives her nephew a kiss on the cheek.

"Where is the princess?" Jill asks curiously.

"She's in her little crib, she just ate so she is nice and full." Kamala says proudly.

"Ba ba!" Jacob says, smiling and waving at Kamala.

"Hi, Jakey! Come sit with Auntie!" Kamala says as Jill carefully sits Jacob next to her.

Maya tickles Devi, causing Devi to laugh loudly.

"Congratulations, Madam Vice President." Joe says as he walks over and hugs Kamala before giving her a kiss.

"Thank you, Mr. President! I think your granddaughter wants to meet you." Kamala says with a grin.

Joe and Jill walk the tiniest walk over to Ivy's crib and look inside, seeing a peaceful baby girl fast asleep, swaddled in an green floral swaddle blanket.

*Ivy's swaddle*

"Oh, my gosh. She's so beautiful!" Jill says as she puts some hand sanitizer on her hands.

"Absolutely precious. To think that Eugenia and Bonny were little like her once. Devi and Jacob as well." Joe says softly as he follows suit.

"Ooooo!" Devi says as he points at his baby sister.

"That's right, buddy. That's your baby sister: Ivy." Joe says with a smile.

"My first niece and I couldn't be more excited!" Maya says proudly.

"She looks just like her Mommy that's for sure!" Jill says as she carefully rubs Ivy's head, feeling her thick dark hair.

"She looks just like Maya and I's mom! We are waiting for my Auntie Mahalakshmi in India to send us a baby picture of our mom to see but I see so much of my mom in her." Kamala says with a grin.

"She's so little! Sometimes you forget how little a baby is when you have an almost one year old." Joe says with a chuckle.

Kamala kisses Jacob's cheek as she continues to hold him in her lap.

"My my!" Devi says to Maya, causing her to gasp happily.

"Yes! That's my name!" Maya says as she kisses Devi.

"Devi and Jacob have been saying so many new words lately! It's amazing how much their brains absorb." Jill says as she continues to rub Ivy's head.

"Was he good last night?" Doug asks Joe and Jill.

"He was great! He and Jacob had a snack and a bath and then they went right to bed. And then Jill kept me up all night waiting for this beautiful girl to arrive." Joe says causing Doug, Maya and Kamala to all laugh.

"I was so excited okay? I was like this for all of my grandbabies being born, even Devi!" Jill says proudly.

"You can hold her you know! She won't bite." Doug says playfully to Joe and Jill.

"I don't want to wake her up, she looks nice and cozy." Jill says to Doug.

"She sleeps through anything! She's a great sleeper already just like Devi was." Kamala says as she rubs Jacob's back.

"Ba ga ba ba!" Devi says to Maya, causing Maya to smile.

"You see the pretty picture? It's a sunset!" Maya says, looking at the picture with Devi.

Kamala and Doug smile, seeing Maya playing the Auntie role she always wanted to play.

"Go ahead Jilly, you can hold her first." Joe says with a big smile.

Jill smiles up and Joe before she carefully and gently picks up Ivy and holds her close to her chest

Ivy begins to coo in her sleep, causing Joe and Jill to awe at her.

"Sweet baby girl. I'm your Nana. You are going to be the most famous baby in the United States today!" Jill whispers to Ivy, tenderly kissing Ivy's head.

"Ivy is a princess." Joe says softly.

"She really is. We're FaceTiming family later today to show her off." Doug says with a smile.

"I'm already predicting that it won't be long before Ella has a baby clothing line. All because of her baby brother and sister." Kamala says with a giggle, causing everyone else to do the same

"You all thought America went crazy when they sent Devi and Jacob gifts. It's gonna be even crazier having a girl. She'll get dresses galore!" Maya says while she holds Devi.

"That's what I'm excited about. You get to do a lot more which a baby girl when it comes to clothes. But Dougie's bank account is about to take a hit." Kamala says while winking at her husband.

"Don't remind me." Doug answers back playfully while rolling his eyes.

"Doug, you went online shopping a lot too! You and Ivy have a few matching outfits." Kamala says, causing Doug to smile and for his cheeks to blush.

"Matching outfits? Oh my gosh!" Maya says as she busts out laughing.

"I saw a guy on Tik Tok do it and why not!" Doug says with a smile.

"Joe bought a lot of Ashley's outfits too when she was a baby and a little kid! It's a girl dad thing!" Jill says with a grin.

"Da da!" Devi says to Doug, calling Doug to smile.

"There's Daddy!" Maya says as she hands
hands Devi to Doug and Doug kisses Devi.

"Hey! Did you have fun with Pop, Nana and Jacob?" Doug asks Devi.

"Aaaaa!" Devi yells happily.

Jill continues to hold Ivy while Joe takes a few pictures.

Jacob begins to fuss, tired of being with Kamala even though he loves her so, he just wants his Mommy now.

"I think someone wants their Mommy. Right, Jakey? You want some Mommy time now?" Kamala says as she kisses Jacob.

"Jakey knows that Daddy hasn't had a turn to hold Ivy!" Joe says as as Jill carefully hands Ivy to Joe before walking over to pick up Jacob.

"How are you feeling, Kam? Do you and Doug need anything?" Jill asks Kamala as she sits on the bed with Jacob in her lap.

"I feel great! I'm a little sore but I'm moving around and just feel so happy." Kamala says as she look at Devi and Doug and then at Joe and Ivy.

"And you should be! After being a Momala to Ella, You finally have a baby girl of your own to love." Jill says with a smile.

Devi reaches his arms out to Joe, indicating that he wants to hold or see Ivy.

"You wanna hold your baby sister, buddy? I know you do!" Doug says proudly.

"Aaaaaa!" Devi says with excitement as he claps his hands.

Doug sits down in the recliner with Devi in his lap. Joe then carefully puts Ivy in Devi's lap and holds her with Doug's help.

"Well, isn't that cute?" Maya says proudly as she takes pictures of her niece and nephew.

"Who is that, Devi? Who is that? Is that baby Ivy?" Kamala says as she takes pictures from her bed.

"Eeee!" Devi says as he rubs Ivy's head and giggles.

"Yeah! That's Ivy! You are her big brother!" Maya says to Devi in a babyfied voice.

Joe smiles, walking over to Kamala, Jill and Jacob.

"Ivy loves you Devi." Doug says to Devi and Devi babbles.

Ivy begins to slowly open her eyes and she softly coos at Devi and Doug.

"Hey, she's waking up!" Jill says with a big proud smile

"Hi, Ivy. Did you have a good nap?" Doug asks his baby daughter and she yawns.

"Sweet little princess." Kamala says as she starts to tear up a little.

"This is your big brother, Devi. I know you two are gonna be best friends. He's been waiting for you for so long." Doug says as Devi points at her face.

But he accidentally pokes her eye when it's closed, causing Ivy to cry.

"Awwww, Ivy. He didn't mean to hurt you. Come to Auntie, baby." Maya says as she walks over and takes Ivy from Devi and Doug.

Maya rocks back and forth a few times but it doesn't calm Ivy down, so she hands Ivy to Kamala.

"Shh shh, it's okay. Mama is here." Kamala says softly as she holds Ivy close to her.

Ivy calms down and relaxes as she listens to Kamala's heart beat.

"Eee eee." Devi says, pointing at Kamala and Ivy.

"Yeah, Ivy is crying. It's okay, she's okay. We know you didn't mean to." Doug says to Devi, making sure the eleven month old knows he didn't hurt Ivy on purpose.

Jacob looks at Ivy carefully, finding her fascinating.

"Ba ba ba ba." Jacob says, pointing at Ivy.

"That's baby Ivy! Isn't she so pretty?" Jill says as Jacob continues to look at Ivy.

"Oooooo!" Jacob says pointing at her bow.

"You like her bow headband? It is cute! Finn bought it and the swaddle blanket for her on Etsy." Joe says with a grin.

"I swear, sometimes you find some of the cutest stuff on there. And you're supporting small business owners in the process. Which I like." Jill says while responding to her husband.

"I know! Meena and Nik bought a lot of Amara and Leela's baby clothes off of Etsy!" Maya says as she shows pictures of her granddaughters.

"I can't wait to see those two girls at the boys' birthday party next month. Jill and I miss them." Joe says

"They miss you too." Kamala says with a smile.

"Aaaaaaa!" Jacob says happily, wanting some attention.

"Yes, baby? You want attention? You love attention like your Daddy huh?" Jill says as Jacob giggles, hugging Jill.

Joe smiles at Kamala and she smiles back, handing Ivy back to him since he didn't get to hold her long like Jill did.

Joe holds Ivy close to Jacob so he can see her up close and Jacob mainly stared at her, unsure about the newborn.

Doug and Jill then put Devi and Jacob on the floor to play, so the adults can hang out, talk and pass Ivy around some more.

The adults just talk and catch up while Devi and Jacob play with some toys. At about 9:15, Naomi and Peter show up!

Peeking through the hospital room, Naomi says while holding a teddy bear box from build-a-bear workshop, "A little bird told me that a sweet baby girl has arrived!"

"I second that." Peter says as he holds some balloons, flowers and a teddy bear box from build-a-bear workshop.

"Hi, you two! Come in!" Kamala says happily.

"Baaaaa!" Jacob says as he puts down his toy and crawls to her and Peter as they walk in.

"Hi, Jakey! I told you I would be right behind you." Naomi says as she picks Jacob up and kisses him on the cheek.

"These are for you." Peter says as he gives the gives the flowers to Kamala and the balloons to Doug.

"Thank you so much! These are beautiful." Kamala says with a big grin.

"Thank you, Peter." Doug says as the two men share a hug.

"You're welcome, and congrats again." Peter says in response with a smile.

"Oh, hi Nana and Pop. Sorry, Jacob got the first hello before you did." Naomi says as Joe kisses her on the cheek

"That's okay. We're used to it by now." Jill says with a playful smile

"What's in the box?" Maya asks curiously as she walks to Kamala's bed

"Open it up and you'll find out." Naomi says with a grin.

Kamala and Maya open the box and see a build a bear dressed in a pink dress.

*Ivy's bear*

"Naomi, this is beautiful! Is it for Ivy?" Kamala asks Naomi.

"It is. You know how I asked you to send me one of the last audio recordings your mom left for you before she passed? Well, press the bear's back." Naomi says as the two sisters do that.

"Hi, Ivy. It's Grandma. I just want to say how proud I am of you. Just know that I'll be watching over you always, cheering you on. I love you."

After hearing that, the two Harris sisters start to cry while hugging each other. Thinking about their late mother.

"I got the recording edited so she'd say Ivy's name. Even though it said both of yours and It's mom. And so Ivy knows that she had a grandmother who would've loved her very much." Naomi says as she thinks about her own grandmother Catherine, who passed away in 2010.

"Oh, and one more thing. We got one for Devi too. Only difference is that Shyamala says his name!" Peter says as he gets the other box and takes out the bear.

*Devi's bear*

"Oh my gosh! You two are just so kind. Devi? Look at what Naomi and Peter got for you!" Maya says happily as Devi puts his toys down and crawls to Maya.

"Aaaaa!" Devi says as he holds his bear and hugs it tight.

"What do you say to Naomi and Peter, baby?" Kamala says to Devi, wanting him to use his manners even though he is learning how to say it.

"Ba ba ba!" Devi says as he giggles and smiles at Naomi and Peter.

"You are very welcome! And Jakey, you have one too! Look!" Naomi says, handing Jacob a bear.

*Jacob's bear*

"Naomi King!" Jill and Joe both say in unison, annoyed that Naomi spent her money on Jacob.

"What, Nana and Pop? I couldn't buy Devi and Ivy and not Jakey! That's not fair!" Naomi says, handing Jacob his bear.

"Aaaaa! Aaaa!" Jacob says as he gets excited and hugs his bear.

"Jakey! Do you wanna hold Ivy?" Joe asks Jacob as he rocks Ivy in his arms.

"Ba ba ba!" Jacob says as he puts the bear down and Joe gives Ivy to him and Jill

"That's right, Jakey. Be gentle. Isn't she soft?" Jill asks her son as he taps Ivy on the nose, causing her to coo at him.

Jacob giggles and smiles at Ivy.

"Gentle, Jakey. Good boy." Jill says as she kisses Jacob's head.

Devi looks at Ivy, Jill and Jacob together and wanting to join them.

"Aaaa!" Devi says, pointing at Jill, Jacob and Ivy.

"Do you want to sit with Nana, Jakey and Ivy?" Maya asks Devi and Devi babbles happily.

Maya manages to sits down on the bed next to Jill, Jacob and Ivy.

Kamala's face lights up watching Jacob and Devi with Ivy.

"Let's have a baby, babe." Peter says to Naomi causing Naomi to roll her eyes playfully.

"Can we at least get married first? And remember what we planned after that." Naomi says as Peter smiles and kisses Naomi's cheek.

"Right. Our wedding is in the fall and I can't wait!" Peter says with a smile.

"I want a great grandbaby now! I want to be the first president as a great grandpa in office." Joe says playfully to Naomi and Peter.

"Joe, don't push them." Jill says sternly to Joe.

"One will happen, Pop! Just after our wedding." Naomi says as she blushes and hides her face.

"Did you all eat breakfast yet or no?" Kamala asks curiously changing the subject for Naomi's sake.

"Nope. We were in such a rush to get here that we forgot. Oops." Jill says nervously.

The adults hear Devi's tummy rumble. Indicating that he's hungry.

"Are you hungry, boys?" Doug asks the boys with a grin.

Both of them babble at Doug in response.

"Type in my notes what you all want, and I'll get it ordered and sent to my room." Kamala says she passes her iPhone around so everyone can days what they want.

Everyone enjoys breakfast together with Devi and Jacob, of course, making a mess.

At 11 am, Joe, Jill, Devi, Jacob, Naomi, and Peter head back to the White House for Joe's press conference!
