Naval Observatory, Vice President Residence

"Mama! Mama! Where are you?" Devi asks out loud, looking around for Kamala after his little afternoon nap.

"I'm right here, baby!" Kamala says as she walks out of the master bedroom, causing Devi's face to light up in pure happiness.

"Mama! Hi, Mama!" Devi says, running over to Kamala and hugs her tight.

"Hi, baby! How are you? Did you take a good nap?" Kamala says to Devi, giving him some kisses.

"Uh huh! Good nap!" Devi says with a grin.

"That's good! I am so glad! I think I hear your sister waking up from her nap too." Kamala says, causing Devi to giggle and smile up at her.

"Mama!" Ivy says, slowly pushing her bedroom door open and walks over to Kamala and Devi.

*Devi and Ivy's outfits*

"Hi, Ivy! Hi, baby! How are you? Did you take a good nap too?" Kamala says, hugging and kissing Ivy.

"I good! Good nap!" Ivy says with a big smile.

"That's good! I am so glad I hear that!" Kamala says as she smiles at Ivy and Devi.

"Hi, sissy!" Devi says, hugging Ivy tightly.

"Hi, Deviiii!" Ivy says, giving Devi a kiss on the cheek.

"Aww, big hugs and kisses! So so sweet." Kamala says, hugging the kids again and kisses them.

Kamala takes Devi and Ivy to the bathroom, making sure the duo don't have any accidents like most toddlers do sometimes because they don't want to stop playing to go to the bathroom.

"Hey! Let's go see if Hudson is awake from his nap. Do you two wanna follow me to his bedroom?" Kamala asks Devi and Ivy.

"YES!" Devi and Ivy both yell in excitement.

"Shhh, shh, whisper now. Whisper. We don't want to wake him up if he isn't ready to finish his nap. Then that will make him grouchy." Kamala explains to Devi and Ivy chasing them to laugh at the word grouchy since it reminds them of Oscar the Grouch.

"Otay!" Devi and Ivy both say in unison as they try to whisper, causing Kamala to giggle.

Kamala, Devi, Ivy all quietly walk over to the spare bedroom and carefully open the door.

The trio walk in and they all see Hudson standing up in the crib with a big cheeky smile on his chubby face.

"HUDSON AWAKE! YAY!" Devi squeals happily as he runs over to the crib to greet Hudson.

"HI, HUDDY! HIIII!" Ivy squeals as she follows Devi and jumps up and down with excitement at Hudson being awake from his nap. 

*Cole's outfit*

"Ba ba ba ba! Ba ba!" Hudson babbles out loud, clapping his hands.

"Hi, Hudson! Good afternoon, baby! Did you sleep well? Hmm?" Kamala says with a her signature smile

Hudson smiles up at Kamala showing off his few teeth he has.

"Ma wa!" Hudson says playing with Kamala's nose, laugh her to laugh.

"Yeah! I'm Momala! Yes, I am!" Kamala says, kissing Hudson's kissable cheeks causing the baby to squeal happily.

"Hud son! Wuv Hud son!" Ivy says to Hudson, blowing kisses at him.

"I wuv Hudson!" Devi says out loud proudly.

"Aw, Hudson loves you too, Ivy! And he loves you Devi!" Kamala says to Ivy and Devi causing the duo to smile.

Kamala rubs her hand through his light brown hair, trying to fix it without a hair brush and succeeds a little. At least Hudson looks presentable now for when his parents and Doug come back home.

"Let's change your diaper, Hudson! I think I smell poop!" Kamala says to Hudson as Hudson does grabby hands up at her.

Kamala picks up Hudson and holds him close to her with Hudson holding onto her neck lovingly.

"POOP!" Devi yells as he busts out laughing at the word poop like most three year olds do.

"Ew!" Ivy says as she scrunches her nose, causing Kamala to laugh.

"I know he is stinky, isn't he? Pee yew! But I'll change his diaper and clean him right up!" Kamala says as he takes Hudson to the changing table to change his diaper with the "help" of Devi and Ivy.

Once Hudson has a fresh diaper and is all clean, Kamala carries Hudson downstairs with Devi and Ivy walking down the steps in front of them.

"Devi and Ivy, please walk! We don't wanna run and slip." Kamala says as Devi does just that.

"Uh oh! Are you okay?" Kamala asks Devi, carefully bending down to Devi's level as she continues to hold Hudson.

Kamala rubs Devi's face, seeing if he was bleeding or had any injury.

"Uh huh! I'm okay!" Devi says to Kamala, slowly getting his smile back.

"I am really glad you are okay. This is why we don't run around with your socks on, okay? The floors can be slippery and we can get hurt. We have to walk and be careful." Kamala explains gently to Devi, making sure he knew even though she knows he'll do it again later. Parenting toddlers can be hard at times.

"Mama! Pway!" Ivy says to Kamala, wanting Kamala to join in whatever game she wants to play.

"Yeah! Let's pway something, Mama!" Devi says as he quickly walks but doesn't run over to Ivy.

"What do you guys wanna play? Let's play something Hudson can join in too! Right, Hudson? You wanna play too!" Kamala says to Ivy and Devi and then at Hudson causing Hudson to babble and squeal.

"Aaaa ba ba baaa!" Hudson babbles as he claps his hands, getting excited to play!

"Tea party!" Ivy says, figuring out what to play!

"YEAH YEAH! Tea party! Wuv dat, Ivy!" Devi says as he hugs Ivy something he does about a thousand times a day and Ivy enjoys it very much as she loves her big brother.

"Oooo, tea party is absolutely perfect for all of us to play!" Kamala says, chasing the trio of kids to cheer.

Kamala, Devi, Ivy and Hudson all happily sit and play together in the living room and playroom until Doug, Cole and Greenley return home!

For the rest of the day, Doug, Kamala, Devi, Ivy, Cole, Greenley and Hudson all spend much needed time together before the campaign really kicks off! :)
